The room we booked and paid for was an öcean view but when we checked in, we looked directly at cranes and buildings. One had to go out to the balcony and look right to see the ocean view. I complained but there was not another room for that night. We were (eventually) moved to a room that you could actually see the ocean frfom the middle of your room. This hotel is good for the "younger set" who want a party place. This location is the "Cancun"of Australia.

Best psition & cheap. Building generally old and needs upgrading. Excellent location, staff tried very hard with what they have to work with. Rooms were old but very clean. Building old and needs to be upgraded. Car parking difficult and cramped.

this hotel needs a big refurbishment its a bit outdated the TV was very small and old and didnt work. fridge is old as well with a crap mini-bar gross green carpets they need a new swimming pool and spa as i saw bits of tile in the spa missing . beds are ok location is good its close to everything I expected better from a marriott chain

Location. It is an old hotel. There was rust on the floor around the bathroom. I was really disappointed with the hotel.

Staff at reception are friendly. We asked for a late check out, she checked the computer, and gave us 1 more hour - check out at 11am.

Friendly helpful staff, great location. Australian only outlets had to buy converter. This hotel is in an ideal location, 1 block from beach with ocean views, close to all shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Staff was excellent.

The only suggestion I have really is that the basin had some large cracks in it. So perhaps an upgrade of basin and the shower.

It is very central to everything. Friendly and helpful staff. will definately stay again. The room wasnt as seen on their site but was just as good. I was quiet happy chilling out on the balcony and watching everyone go by and watching the ocean. Views were magnificent

Great location, right next to surfers paradise beach and plenty os shops around. Hotel was good, room size was good, the bathroom needed a little updating, would stay there again.

It was the best holiday that we had in Goldcoast as the hotel location is so city central. The staff were helpful, no complaint!!!

I booked the hotel on a promotional rate. Whilst the rate was very good, the floor level and veiw were extremely disappointing. As they say, you get what you pay for. Never again.

Getting to and from the rooms via the lifts was not really acceptable. 2 times we had to wait for the lift for approx 10mins, and the day we checked out it took 40 minutes to get a lift. Also there was inadequate carparking spaces reserved for hotel guests, and we had to park at the northern end of the public parking area and walk a few minutes to get into the motel.

Parking cost $25 due to it being Indy time - we were not aware of this excessive cost until we checked in to the hotel.
