This hotel was okay, but definately not worth paying over $150 a night for. The hotel was hard to find and was located in an awkward corner of a shopping complex. The room was small and was lacking the extras that you would expect from a 4 star hotel such as toiletries (there was only one small bottle of shampoo and conditioner and a bar of soap between two people!)and no complimentary breakfast. The room was clean but that was the only positive thing about it.

August 2008 my three teen agers and I stayed on this property for 10 days. This trip was a combination of BUSINESS and PLEASURE. .Our experience was excellent. I was greeted by name, welcoming me 'home'. After a very long and tedious work day, when I walked into the lobby, I was asked if I would like fresh coffee...and when I said 'what no cookies?' I was told,," give me 10 minutes"...Within the 10 minutes, I had fresh cookies for my coffee break! WOW.. The rooms were cleaned everyday . My request for extra towels was never denied. The ammenities were replaced. The paper was always delivered by 5:00am. The lobby is warm and friendly. There are many 'conversation' areas. There is a plasma TV area giving the area a 'den' feeling. The furniture is clean, and neat. No frayed fabric or carpet. There is a computer area, with screens, chairs paper and writing instruments. The breakfast area has many tables and chairs. While we were there we did not eat in the hotel. Just coffee and snacks. We ate in the variety of restaurants in the area. There is plenty to do in the area. Thomas Edison's lab and factory are 'down the hill'. The Eagle Rock reservation, which has a magnificent view of NYC,has a permanent outdoor memorial to the victims of 9-11. The Turtle BAck Zoo is a gem in the area And, shopping is an active sport! There are so many areas for shopping, discount outlets, shopping malls and sharp boutiques are easily reached. This property is very well maintained. The grounds are groomed. There is ample parking in the lot, both front and back. The lighting is security adequate. The halls are bright. I have already booked my next 12 day stay for December 2008.

I am a business traveler and usually on property for 3-5 days at a time. 3 out of my 4 stays I have continually had problems from no hot water in the mornings, no room/towel service, to refrig breaking, resulting in spoiled food. Tried to order food from the sparse menu (ceasar salad) being told they don't have ingredients to make one. Complaints to management go unattended. Although this property is new, it is poorly managed. It is an embarrassment to the Marriott Family of Hotels and will find another place to stay in the upcoming weeks.

It was clean! It didn't smell like other reviews said it did. Also, it was right off the highway and next to a little strip mall- convenient! The bar and pool closed at 10- earlier than I'd like. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! Many reviews said that this hotel smells funny. I was nervous about that, but said nothing to my husband so that he wouldn't be biased. When we walked in, to my amusement, he said "It smells good in here!" I laughed and told him what the reviews said about a bad smell. We figured it must have smelled good because they fixed whatever the problem was. We stayed in a room with two queen beds which were comfy. The fridge was smaller than I would like. We could squeeze 1 magnum of wine, 1 bottle of sprite, and 1 bottle of whiskey in there- it is tall enough, but very shallow. For the ladies: a previous reviewer wrote that only the bathroom has a mirror, so getting ready for weddings, etc. can be difficult. This is absolutely correct! Try to bring a hand mirror or something if you can. I loved the shower! It had a lot of space and a huge ledge to put toiletries on. Most importantly, the room was CLEAN!

Room size was very spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast buffet. Overall ease of location was a bit off the main drag. I found the hotel to be quite clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly.

Great personnel and very comfortable. Really pleasant experience. Great hotel personnel; extremely friendly and helpful, especially front desk people. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. It was a very good experience and I wish more hotels were like this one. The pool is weirdly small, though! I might have added a game room, instead, or expanded the workout room because really, the pool is unusable as it is.

Very family friendly. Could not figure out how to turn on shower; took a bath instead. Hotel was great; only criticism was the shower fixture was difficult to manipulate, even with the written instructions that were taped to the spout - a picture would have worked better.
