Beautiful rooms and the best service in a long time. Didn't have a tub in the hotel room. This was a great hotel stay and I would love to stay at the Marriott again. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. It was awesome having a lounge, restaurant and coffee shop in the building since traveling with an infant.

preferred the main hotel. The annex we stayed in on our second visit was remote, noisey and didnt give the same feeling of security

Excellent value for your money! Great location for all things if you don't have a car, and I would say "don't rent one". Clerks at front desk were very friendly, fast and helpful. Room is smaller than most, but we didn't need a larger one. The BEST bed I have ever had in a hotel!City bus stop is right out front door and takes you to Pearl Harbor in about an hour, and marina for boat tours in about 15 minutes, for just $2.00. Down the street a half block gets you to The Trolley and Circle Tour starting points. I would recommend getting a "GoOahu" Card. You will get your money worth if you review it before you go. Kalakaua Ave is a block away for great shopping, and there are numerous restaurants within a short walk. A 5 minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The restaurant, Spada, is very good and has a friendly waitstaff. Room was totally clean at all times. We had two requests and they were handled imediately. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again for sure!

My wife and I stayed at The Wyland Waikiki for 6 nights last July in our first Hawaii vacation. This hotel was a great choice, since it offered a good value for the money we payed to stay at Waikiki. We would have liked to stay right away on the beach, but Waikiki beach hotels are ridiculously overpriced. So for the price you pay at The Wyland, a 4 star hotel, you get a decent hotel just few blocks from the beach. In any case,Oahu has so much to offer that of the 7 days we spent in the Island, we only went once to sun bathing at Waikiki beach. The other days we visited most of the tourist destinations around the island by bus, and the location of the hotel worked perfectly fine, since it has a bus stop in front. Also, the hotel location is perfect with both a ABC store and a Whaler's store just in front... this convenience shopping is very nice (you know, to get a non-hotel priced soda, or snacks, or sun lotions or whatever you need). The room was good, and bed was amazingly good.... however, I have to mention that the bathroom (the shower to be specific) was kind of small for my wife (but for me was perfectly fine)... The hotel has the mandatory amenities of a 4 star hotel: an spa and fitness center that we did not use; a pool that we used once; and a leisure room with two Xboxs and half a dozen massage chairs... these chairs were a nice treat after one day of long walks sightseeing around town... Our rate included a continental breakfast, which was O... a coffee and a pastry... nothing fancy... Overall, the hotel was great!

There are great deals in Honolulu right now and this was not a good deal. You go for the sunshine and outside time. The pictures of the pool on the website are very deceiving. The pool is small and is always in the shade. The whole week that I was there the water in the pool and the hot tub was cold. There is no beverage service at the pool. While it is only 5 blocks to the beach, you feel very far away from the beach. There is a lot of traffic between the beach and the hotel. It is on a very loud and busy street. You can get free breakfast just be aware it is the same exact thing every day and the food is not very good. Just eggs and mini muffins and some fresh fruit. We saw hotels that had breakfasts just a dollar more and offered a wide array of food. Also, do NOT TAKE THE SHUTTLE the hotel recommends to Pearl Harbor. It is horrible. It took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to get home from there. The public bus would have been quicker and much cheaper. We complained but the driver was afraid to bring the problem to management. The van was also old and not very clean.

it's a very small and noise double room...We can't even find a bigger space to place our baggage...No central air conditioner but individual air con...it make huge noise(image all your neighbors turn aircon on) ... water always outflow over the floor after shower... and the hotel location JUST beside main road, I wake up every AM5:00 for early buses running...really a harassment I think this is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed...

The personal attention of the front desk was above expectations. I booked this hotel on priceline for my boyfriend's birthday weekend. I could not have been happier! The valet service was attentive. The bartender was so friendly. The spa was unbelievable. The pool even had a freezer full of complimentary freeze pops! And, when the front desk found out that it was my boyfriend's birthday, they left a surprise gift basket in the room for him. Although the rooms are smaller than what you will find on the mainland, for Waikiki they are pretty much standard. The service and aloha at the Wyland more than make up for it.

Nice place, nice people, good time. They have a game room with an xbox 360 and a bunch of over sized bean bag chairs to sit on. They also have a bunch of those chairs that give you a back rub. Happy hour is nice and long and drinks are fairly cheap. Room was a little small but worth the price and then some. Great value.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very nice. We were within walking distance of the beach, several excellent restaurants, and the Hillo Hattie shuttle picked up right in front of the hotel. I have always enjoyed Wyland's artwork and it was proudly displayed throughout the hotel. I would definately stay there again and would recommend the hotel to family and friends.

Very accommodating. They stored our luggage after checkout since we had an afternoon flight leaving, so we were able to shop without toting luggage. We had an enjoyable stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. Great location. We would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant Hotel!! In great area near public bus and a short walk to Waikiki beach! Only problem is that on the lowest room rate there are only 5 rooms in the whole hotel with Queen beds....even if you book a room with queen bed you may get a room with two single beds. We arrived (on valentines day) to be told only a room with 2 single beds available..at first we were upset but our room had a WONDERFUL view of the beach so we were happy.

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Not on the beach, but not very far away either (less than 5 minute walk), so I would say it's a decent location, especially for the price I paid. I only wish I had had more time to stay here, as I was passing through on my way to Australia. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in many hotels in Hawaii. I was actually surprised at how much I liked this hotel. I prefer to be closer to the beach, so it's not my very first choice when staying in Waikiki. Plan on walking alot if you stay here. I enjoy walking, so it didn't bother me. I stayed in a top of the line room, King bed suite with kitchenette. Room 754 facing Royal Hawaiian Ave. They have two towers, the other facing Kuhio Ave. Anyone who knows the area knows how loud and busy Kuhio Ave is, so if you get a room facing that street, expect traffic noise. I was amazed at how QUIET the noise was from my room facing Royal Hawaiian Ave. as there is very little traffic on this street. The bedding was a fantastic surprise, one of the best I have EVER slept! It was 5-star bedding and the pillows were to die for. This room had a separate bedroom and livingroom, all furnishings were nice and the room was very clean. It had two HD TV's, a couch, and Wyland artwork throughout. Absolutely no complaints. The bathroom was very nice with contemporary fixtures. And the lanai had two chairs and a table. I got my breakfast each morning at The KimoBean coffee house downstairs in their lobby. For 11 I got plenty of coffee, high quality fresh fruit bowl, bagel w/ CC and yogurt and brought it back to the room to eat on the lanai. I was very happy. The pool is actually very nice (another surprise) with high quality towels. I don't know if the lower cost rooms have different bedding or not, so I can only speak for what I got. And what I got was very, very nice!!!

Hotel was very nice, although, security came to our door, because we had the PRIVACY note on the door for 3 days....duh it is our honeymoon. I had asked for toilet paper to be brought to our room, and the housekeeping knocked once, then just let herself in, my husband and I were not completely dressed, so I asked her to please leave and she just kind of stood there. Sites were good, and very fun, must go to Diamond Head!!!! What a hike, but fun! Also,, go eat at Ruth Chris Steak House-expensive but very well worth it!!!

Relatively small hotel. Excellent off beach location (3 blocks to beach). Good for business travelers, adults. Small pool and very friendly staff. Modern and very secure. You get to know other guests. Most guests were business travelers that enjoy their time off work and come back to the same hotel time after time. Excellent decor (Wyland). Internet and computers available for free. Large HDTV's in rooms with game controllers. Most comfortable beds in town. The down side: Balconies are for looks only, too small to use. Not enough electrical outlets in rooms, especially in the bathroom (no outlets for razor or toothbrush.) No ice machines available, you have to call room service for ice (fast, but they expect a tip!) Bar is expensive, and resturant is not open on regular basis - still getting up to speed. New manager just took over the hotel, expect some changes. We will stay there again in the future.
