The Courtyard Charlottesville-University Medical Center was strategically placed near the beautiful UVA campus and was close to a large variety of restaurants and the downtown Charlottesville area. The area seemed very clean and nice for a college campus area, though with it being summer, not too many students around. Free parking was very convenient! Rooms were spacious and modern. My only complaint was the check-in staff lacked that service with a smile and were not very helpful about recommendations for area restaurants.

I have stayed at Marriotts before and was so disappointed in this one. Parking deck was too small and hard to find way and get in and out. There seemed to be mold in the air that made me sick. The elevator was way too slow. I could not wait to leave, I felt closed in and will never stay there again.

The Courtyard in Charlottesville was very clean. They also had very friendly service. The location is within walking distance of the University and various other places. The room I stayed in also had a beautiful view of the mountains.

This hotel is idea! Very nicely kept. Great value for the price. In downtown Charlottesville with quick walks to the UVA campus, the downtown Mall and lots of eateries. Clean rooms. Free, gated parking. Cafe on-site. Friendly and helpful staff. What you'd expect from Marriott. Definitely a place to stay on a visit to Winery country or UVA.

The rooms were large, clean and quiet. The hotel smelled and the maid stole from me. Overall, this is a nice hotel in a central location in Charlottesville. The front desk were nice. The room was big and clean, but the halls all smelled like a diaper bag. Also, I left a necklace out on the desk one day, and it was not there the next. I thought my husband packed it; he thought I packed it. I went back to the hotel after we checked out to look for it in the room.
