The location was great, near Legoland, beach and other attractions. The staff was very friendly. Although the hotel was clean it was in disrepair--the phone was broken and we reported that immediately--it never got fixed. Table lamp didn't work, the switch was broken. Window was almost impossible to open and close. We were under the impression that a refrigerator came with the room, and they were out of refrigerators when we checked in--although we did get one the next day. Hot tub flooded--somehow water filling feature didn't get shut off? so whole entry to pool area was flooded and we had to wade through several inches of water to get to the pool. One nice touch, we don't like to have our room cleaned and the housekeeper took it upon herself to deposit a bag of clean towels and toiletries at our door, which we needed. Also, due to a misunderstanding with the website we didn't get complimentary breakfasts but after discussing the situation with the staff they gave our family 1 complimentary breakfast which was generous. All in all, three stars for cleanliness, location and staff.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in terms of pointing out locations, etc. Too business oriented. Very pleased with helpful and friendly staff.

Very clean, nice pool, very nice staff. Somewhat off the beaten track. You can't ask for much more for the price, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (especially Tiffany), the room were immaculate and the bed was so comfy, the pool was great and so was the hot tub, I did not eat at the restaurant only due to the prices being pretty high, $11.95 for breakfast. The restaurant is not open at lunch but they have a market pantry with microwave goodies, sodas and even alcohol beverages. As long as you don't mind being a little off the beaten path in what essentially is a business district you can't go wrong with this place, about 2 miles from the beach, ask for the third floor. McDonald's, Carl's Jr and a few chain restaurant's about 2 miles away, no eateries within walking distance. The price was very fair and Carlsbad is a great little town!

Clean rooms. There were children running up and down the halls in the hotel with little to no rules from hotel staff. This hotel was nice and overall seemed like a great place to stay. Upon arrival we were greated warmly, however that changed when children were allowed by the hotel staff to run up and down hallways all over the Hotel. It was very unpleasent and calls to the front desk were ignored. I willnever stay here again, nor will any of my family.

The beds are absolutely amazing to rest & sleep on. They did not have a mini-fridge or microwave. My family and I enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again. The hotel was beautiful and extremely quite for being next door to an airport. We heard only one plane during our two night stay. The beds were unbelievable and we couldn't wait to sleep on them the second night. The food at the restaurant was great but very expensive compared to fast food and most chain restaurants. It was only minutes from Legoland and 30 minutes from Sea World. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room, especially the beds, were comfortable and clean. We could easily hear guests in adjoining rooms and assume they could hear us. First of all, cudos to Tiffany for excellent customer service. She went out of her way to remove obstacles and ease the way for a pleasant stay. The hotel is great looking and comfortable. It's in a good location, though the maps show it on the wrong side of Owens. We really enjoyed the high-quality bed linens and the spa.

Convenient, clean nicely decorated. Vanity was tiny. Maid service was late in the day, I take my afternoon nap and would miss the maid. The vanity was hardly big enough for one of us, not near enough room for both my wife and I. That aside, we had a very nice experience and would go back.

Very convenient to Legoland. This Marriott is very convenient to freeways, the beach, Legoland and other SD area tourist attractions. Our room was clean, and met our expectations. One minor drawback was that the bathroom sink area was a bit small and cramped.

Very comfortable beds, well appointed, nice staff. Expensive breakfast restaurant. Overall very nice, somewhat off the beaten path, but not hard to find or get to from the freeway. Quiet rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice pool - many rooms had balconies overlooking it. Good place to stay while in North San Diego County if you have kids, don't want to spend a fortune and like getting a good sleep while on vacation.

It was clean and friendly. I don't have any complaints. We were only in the room to sleep and did not experience any of the hotels accommodations. The staff was very friendly.

The staff were very friendly. The sink and counter area was very small. Overall the hotel was nice and we had a good experience. However, on one day we came back to our room in the mid afternoon and it had not been cleaned. We asked housekeeping to take care of it, but when we left and returned a few hours later it still was not cleaned. We then had to call the front desk and then we left again and when we came back it had been cleaned, but not as well as on other days. Other than that our experience was good.
