We stayed for a wedding and local sightseeing in the Charlottesville area. It is convient to the highways and downtown with many shops nearby. The room was clean, updated and very comfortable.

Booked Courtyard as a "treat" for my family to stay while visiting grandparents this Thanksgiving. Didn't do my research. Hotel is fine, and is a "step up" from the family hotels we usually use. Thermostat-controlled air instead of the noisy window unit, upscale furniture with lots of storage, nice beds, slightly nicer toiletries. But for us, the fact that the free internet requires a wired connection was a real drawback (parents are stuck to the desk and in the way, and only one can use it at a time). And who would have thought a hotel in this range wouldn't have free breakfast? We left after one night and moved to the Fairfield next door. Identical room size and layout with more "basic" furniture, same beds and bedding, free breakfast, and wifi. For $30 less per night. The only reason I'd stay there again would be if I cared about the indoor pool or the central air.

My room was right next to the laundry room and the staff were rolling laundry carts in front of my door and I could hear noise from the laundry room as well as the staff talking.

Very clean and easy to find. Would have liked continental breakfast.

We were in Charlottesville to baby-sit for our 4 1/2 mo. old grandson while his parents looked for a house to buy. We arrived (several hours before our son and family arrived). We asked if they had adjoining rooms (more convenient for babysitting, putting down for nap, etc). The desk clerk was so helpful not only did she find us adjoining rooms, our rooms near the exit and she found us a handicap room (she noticed I was using a cane and thought it would be helpful). When we were in the lobby later she asked if our room was ok and if we needed anything. This is the first of many gracious employees. My husband wanted a second trashcan and so he asked the housekeeper for one. Later that day, before she went home, she brought us one. Another day I was inquiring about a Spa to get a massage for my daughter-in-law as a treat. The desk clerk said he didn't know of any but he'd check on it. This was late in the day and people were checking in but when I came back from walking my grandson, he had some names for me. One morning we asked about the mall over the hill and if they had strollers. Again the desk clerk called the mall to check on what they had. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good. The dining area was always clean and special orders (like over-easy eggs) were taken care of quickly. I was using the lobby computer and couldn't get it to print. The desk clerk came and wiggled a few things and I could print my paper. Every staff member I met was kind, gracious and helpful.

Clean, quiet and easy access to major roads. No restaurants. We were very pleased with the hotel and our room. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. The staff that we had contact with were all very friendly and courteous.

It's a standard Courtyard by Marriott - really nice property, cushy bed and big flat screen TV. The room isn't anything crazy special but they've been included in the updates. It's a new-ish property that is pretty nice.

This hotel was a short distance from the UVA campus and downtown area. The room was nice overall; however we called housekeeping to order additional pillows and no one ever returned our call. We then called the front desk, only to learn that they were out of pillows for the evening.

The pool and exercise facilities. Pricey restaurant. This hotel is a decent place to stay. The restaurant seemed pricey, but the pool and exercise facilities are nice amenities. Staff are friendly and the room was fine.

I stayed in a similar starred hotel last visit and it wasn't nearly as nice as this one. Thank you!

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Easy check in and check out. Good location, just outside of the UVA area about 3 miles. The only issue was waiting to be seated for breakfast on Sunday-there were plenty of free tables, they just weren't being cleaned off fast enough.

Clean rooms, no smoking and complimentary coffee. Small rooms and minimal workout facilities. The staff was both pleasant and efficient with a comfortable lobby and clean efficient rooms. Internet access was available for those on business trips and the courtyard made for a relaxing alternative to resting in the lobby or hotel room.

The Courtyard Marriot in Charlottesville was hard to find, but once I got there, the staff was very friendly, giving me great directions to my meeting, and making good food recommendations. On checkout day, I returned late from my meeting by an hour, but the staff was understanding and didn't charge extra.

It was a pretty nice hotel but a little expensive for the amenities. We wanted to see Monticello but it was move-in day at University of Virginia but that didn't hurt us. Overall, pretty nice place.
