The Courtyard by Marriot in Merced, CA was wonderful. The room was beautiful and spacious with great decor. My husband and I had a king size bed w/sitting quarters and it was very relaxing. The bathroom was spacious as well. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet which is available in the hotel every morning was convenient and delicious. I was visiting friends and this will be my home away from home whenever I visit them.

Front desk manager was very professional. There was nothing I did not like. Rooms were spotless, bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.

As a woman traveling alone, I'd give this hotel a higher rating if it had not placed me in a ground floor room. However, it was very clean, and restaurant staff very pleasant. Given its location, it was also relatively quiet.

Cleanliness, very friendly staff, decor was new and sharp. No Wi-Fi in rooms. Very pleased with our room. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Room was clean, decor was in good shape. Good breakfast available.

The staff, as always, was very welcoming, helpful, and friendly Walls between rooms could be a little thicker Fantastic hotel for the area. The staff is very friendly, and sincerely concerned that you have a wonderful stay! The staff is very helpful. The indoor pool and hot tub are a wonderful facility to use at the end of a work day, or anytime. The hotel was always presented as clean and tidy.

Nicest hotel in an area of flea bag motels. The surrounding area is less than safe. Nice room, quiet and clean. However, do not walk the streets surrounding the hotel after dark. This hotel is generally not at capacity as it is the highest priced hotel in an area of that has few attractions for tourism.

Pool & spa. Little noisy, close to freeway. Clean, very nice hotel staff, comfortable beds. Downside little bit noisy due to location by freeway. Wait staff at restaurant was a little bit over zealous. Great value for the price.

Extremely thin walls. We were kept awake by people in the room next door. The staff was helpful. The hotel was easy to find. The business center of the hotel was easily located. Our stay was, overall, very comfortable.

Clean, comfortable, friendly. The maid stole jewelry from our room. With one glaring exception, our stay was very nice. The hotel is clean, friendly, and comfortable. But our maid stole a pair of diamond earrings from a zipped case in our room, requiring a police report and a very uncomfortable meeting with the property manager. Marriott is investigating.

The rooms were very nice and the front desk staff was very helpful. Great sense of humor. The indoor pool didn't seem all that inviting. Chlorine smell very high.
