The staff was very friendly, but it took 3 calls to the front desk before we got our refridgerator, blankets and towels delivered. The beds are not very comfortable. The hotel is nice overall with a great pool and exercise room.

Starbucks is right next to the hotel. I saw the cleaning lady put my pillows on the floor when she was making my bed. Decent hotel. Nothing spectacular but nothing really wrong either. Friendly staff - clean room, except one day, I came back early and I saw that the cleaning lady had the pillows on the floor while she was making the bed.

This room was extremely clean and the price was excellent. The location is right downtown close to everything. I will be back again.

Our overall experience with this hotel was positive. However, the rooms are very small. If you are staying alone, then you'll be fine. We had two children and it was very tight! Everything else was great here!

Location was close to House of Blues. There is no free onsite or offsite parking. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel, but no free parking. I paid $22 a nite (3 nites) for onsite valet parking, they parked my truck outside by the street, not in the garage... and left it unlocked with a window open, then it rained. 1st morning, housekeeping came by while we were getting ready , asked them to come back in 1/2 hr, we would be out of room...they did not. 2nd day, we called for set of sheets for sofa bed around 1:30 or 2 (housekeeping again did not clean room that morning), someone brought sheets to room, we asked about them changing the king bed or getting clean towels or more coffee, that person didn't have it or do that. I wouldn't stay there again if it was free.

Great location. The price of the breakfast buffet was too expensive!

I originally had planned on staying in a 5 star hotel in downtown Houston, but things went out of hand and I was forced to stay at another level. The Courtyard still made me very pleased, the room was spacious and very clean and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The employees alone would be a reason for me to stay again, N works the desk and made my stay very personable, she even dropped everything at the desk to help me take a picture before a date on memorial day. I did not like the absence of parking though, valet only is a little restrictive. No real restaurant in the hotel, but plenty surround it downtown.

The room was small and the fitness center was poor.

I liked the third floor swimming pool even though I didn't go in, the atmosphere was nice. The fact that they do not have free parking for their paying guests.

Very knowledgeable staff attentive to needs; valet-only parking; a little difficult to find at 1:30AM

Comfortable, Roomy, good for just relaxing. I didn't like that you pretty much had to pay for Valet service. The hotel was nice. I just went for my birthday weekend as a getaway and relaxed. Didn't really like that I had to valet for 17.00.

Both the Courtyard by Marriott and the Marriott Residence Inn share the remodeled Humble Oil office building. Rooms are nice and fairly comfortable. However, rooms facing the city streets are quite noisy. The replacement windows do not block out street noise. You want an interior room facing an air shaft. These rooms are much quieter, though there is no view. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is conveniently located right next to Houston's light rail system. Food and service in restaurant is not up to Marriott standards. The lobby bar is very small, and cigarette smoke tends to find its way into the dining area. The Courtyard was my second choice for downtown lodging in Houston. Fitness room is small and limited, but the third floor outdoor pool is nice.

We recently stayed at the Courtyard and had a positive experience. We were welcomed by a friendly staff and had a prompt check in. They were able to put our group on the same floor even though we requested it at the last minute. The rooms were spacious and very well maintained. The weather was bad so we decided to stay in and have dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was good (and the drinks were too).

The staff was excellent and friendly. They were very helpful and welcoming. The location was more than a few blocks from attractions and there were'nt many restaurants around the area that were open. Many bussiness were closed. Nice hotel. Staff was excellent and friendly.

The price was really good. Location was on Main street in the middle of the downtown, just a few blocks from the convention center. Spacious, comfortable, quiet room. Great staff. Bit of mildew on the shower curtain but otherwise clean and in great shape.

Check in was fast. Parking was too expensive. Nice facilities andparking was $22 per day.

The hotel is very professional. The parking was an issue. The hotel was very satisfactory. I understand the need for valet parking because it is in a downtown area. Sometimes people are not comfortable with valet (total strangers) accessing their automobiles. Aside from that my stay was great.

It was a quaint, pretty hotel with lots of character and the rooms were quiet. It was in a location in downtown Houston where there was absolutely no room for vehicles so valet parking took forever. Nice hotel; very clean and quaint; hotel staff was very friendly; breakfast staff was accommodating to our needs (early and fast).

Was convenient to everywhereI wanted to go. Iwaited 45 minutes to an hour to get my car out of the valet lot. The hotel room was convenient and had whatI needed for the trip. The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but pricey. The housekeeping staff came in everyday to clean my room and change linens. The gyms were small but very useful in getting a workout.

"For a quick weekend getaway, I needed a hotel in downtown Houston that was close enough to plenty of activities but away from all the noise and the airport. The Marriott?s Courtyard in downtown Houston was the perfect location. Check in was quick and easy, the room was beautiful and, if I wanted to eat there and not leave, there was a great restaurant at my fingertips. I would definitely request this hotel again, especially at the great price. I?ll always remember my fantastic stay at downtown Houston?s Courtyard Marriott."
