Date of Stay: June, 2009

Upon initial entrance of the hotel things seemed perfectly normal. The room appeared fine. Yet, when we awoke the next morning, my family and I discovered that we were all covered in small, red bite marks. It was either from fleas or bed bugs. I am very distraught over this. We spoke to the hotel manager and showed him the red welts. My 5 year old daughter was in tears. He stated that he would get their bug man up there again. I just felt sick. This was not a good experience.

My stay was excellent. The parking is limited. It woulod be difficult for someone who is not able to climb stairs which is necessary ifyou parked in the parking structure.

The staff was friendly. The beds were terrific and the room was cozy but clean and modern. There was wireless internet in the rooms but only one computer (free) downstairs if you didn't bring your own. Although it is next to the Birmingham University Hospital, the room was very quiet. There's a nice deli right next door that stays open until 11 p.m. for late arrivals.

Good location and close to restaurants (subway, deli, etc). We were put on a floor where they were washing the carpet, but they moved us after we let them know. This is a good location for being close to downtown. We were first placed in a room on a floor they were washing the carpet. We wanted to go to sleep and couldn't because they would be in our hotel room cleaning. We went downstairs to let them know and they promptly moved us to a different floor. They also charge $10/day for parking on their facility.

Very helpful, convienent to the hospital since we had surgery for my daughter. I have no complaints. The hotel was clean very comfortable and very convenient to the hospital. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It rained and we had no umbrella and they provided one for us. Little thing but meant much to us. We plan to go back this week for more surgery for my daughter.

We were at UAB hospital and this hotel made everything very easy and accessible. The staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel is extremely clean and staff very professional. Will stay there again.

Decor and cleanliness were excellent. No amenity breakfast. Very attractive and comfortable and clean. Prices were a little steep on their snacks that were sold at the front desk in the lobby.

The hotel has a business center, internet access, cable, and cozy clean rooms. The hotel did not have enough cable channels. The hotel was conveniently located to public transportation which includes the local trolley. My husband and I did not need a car because restaurants and attractions were in walking distance or simply a trolley ride away. We had a fantastic time and will stay at the same hotel on our next visit.

The staff was very helpful, with a smile! Nice! Very quiet andnot a warm friendly atmosphere. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very helpful and polite. The room was neat, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything you could need was in the room, such as iron, hair dryer, etc.

The rooms were spacious, new, and clean, comfy beds. The food tasted old, stale, and low quality. The staff was very nice, helpful, and available. Loved the beds and rooms. We were very comfortable and slept well. Nicely decorated and very clean. Wished it had a pool. Had to pay to park our car. Easy to locate.

They had a gym membership to a local university which was an amazing gym! The room was really nice also. I didn't like the hotel had weird parking and we didn't receive decent instructions on how to park/use validation. Many of the travelers that visit this hotel are in the area seeking medical attention for themselves or a family member thus there is some emotional heaviness lingering in the atmosphere. Otherwise, the hotel is very clean and pristine and the staff was helpful and went out of their way to remember who we were.
