The hotel was attractive, cozy, nice, and clean. The staff was very friendly. I would highly reccommend family and friends to stay at this hotel.

Location and coffee in the lobby. Somewhat shabby and unclean room. Great location for USC, nice lobby and amentities.

I have been to Columbia three times already with my girls in the Army and this trip was the best. Although on the pricey side, this was a very nice Hotel with a touch of class. The ONLY thing I found wrong was the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan. So either you shower with the door open or wait til the mirrors defogged. Other than that, the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful whenever I needed something and the atmosphere was cozy since I was a little on the cold side when we were in Columbia this time. We didn't do room service from the hotel as we ordered from a take out joint that delivered and that was pretty good. I loved that they had a mini fridge. The breakfast, although on the high side, was good. They did have omelets but not much to it.

My hotel reservation through Orbitz was prepaid and specified 2 queen beds. I called Marriott Courtyard on my way to South Carolina from Florida to see if I needed to check in before attending a sporting event. The front desk told me "no problem with a late check in... I see we have your reservation and your room is prepaid so you can come anytime after your event and your room will be ready...we're open 24/7". When we arrived at the Hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful person at the front desk but she advised us the earlier shift had oversold the rooms as a result of USC graduation weekend and was very sorry that the hotel did not have our room type available. It was late so we could not go look for another hotel. We were advised they could have our double room the next night and that we should check with the front desk at around noon the next morning. Additionally, the prepaid room came with paid breakfast vouchers and the front desk advised us that the early shift had not prepared enough so we would need to check back the next day. Ultimately, we were moved to a double room on the second day and the Marriott Courtyard indicated they would contact Orbitz to refund the first night. Hotel staff was very friendly but not sure how to issue credit to customers who prepay with outside booking companies. Waiting to see about the credit/refund.

It was very trendy, lovely rooms, and very close to the action. I hated the fact that you were charged for parking that is horrible. The hotel is lovely, trendy and in an awesome location. You can walk to the entertainment if you choose. Just hate the fact that you have to pay for parking there. I prefer they include it in the price so I wouldn't be aware.

I stayed here with a friend from out of town during their stay in Columbia. The rooms were wonderful, nice big flat screen tv and comfy beds. No hair dryer, but that's my only real complaint. Elevator is being serviced, so the remaining one was slow as molasses. The pool is nice and inviting and it's close to lots of things. Shuttle service is a PLUS and the staff were very accomodating. Definitely would stay again!

"The halls & elevators were shoddy, but the people and the rooms made up for this. The people were very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable. Wish we'd had time to enjoy the fire pit. Nice touch. We enjoyed our stay."

Nice location with clean rooms. No towels provided in the pool area. Staff never told us about the parking fee. Overall this hotel was a nice place to stay. However there were a lot of teenagers also staying at the hotel. They were not loud, but it increased out safety concerns since most of the time they seemed to be unsupervised. The linens aren't as nice as the ones at the Columbia Marriott nor was the staff as helpful and friendly. Parking is expensive.

I was in town with my family visiiting in laws. We stayed at this hotel for quite a few days. From the moment we checked in we were treated like royality. The staff was SO FRIENDLY! They were so nice to the kids as well! It means a lot when the staff takes the time to speak to you and gets down on the kids level and speaks with them as well. The rooms were SO nice. They were immaculant as well. The beds were very comfy. We had so much room! Even with 2 small kids! The housekeeping staff was really great with cleaning the room. They took great care of the girls toys and stuffed animals. We would come back to the hotel and their stuffed toys would be arranged on the bed like they would be at home. What a nice touch!!!. My husband had to do a little work while we were visiting. He used the business center everyday. Everything is brand new and top of the line. Anything he needed was there! A few times while he was working managers came over to make sure he had all of the necessary things to complete what he was doing. Can you beleive that! The kids loved the pool as well. This area was ship shape as well. They even had an outdoor fireplace out there...it was way to hot to be used while we were there though!!!! I liked the COMFORTABLE, CLEAN pool furniture- not a typical generic lounger. The thing that is really nice about this hotel is they haven't cut any corners. You can see from the staff they all really care about quality! I give this hotel an A+++I will def be back again!

Clean and new. Street noise, the street was being repaved, all night long.

It was fairly cozy, clean, and comfortable. I would have liked to know about parking fees up front. It takes away from negotiating for a price.

convenience to the purpose of our visit desk clerk referred to us as cheap room guest I discovered that price line does not count in hotel extras;. THe points I have earned only gives me a cheap room from the hotel. When you use your points, you don't get anything extra, that is included with regular AAA discount visits. THis was the first hotel that treated me in this fashion. Icalled priceline to complain.. This week I will use my points for a 2 night visit. If things don't improve, I will discontue using this service.

The hotel waived my parking fee without me even asking for it! Very friendly staff. Clean rooms and well located, right next to USC.

Great breakfast and friendly staff. I stay in this hotel very often and everything is usually fine. But, the last several stays the rooms have smelled very badly of body odor. I think the cleaning crew needs to work a little harder on the rooms.
