I'd consider the Courtyard Mariott Chapel Hill your best bet for local accomodations, especially if you want something more reasonably priced. It's close to UNC-Chapel Hill campus and right across the street from the Meadowmont development, which is one of those suburban shopping/dining/housing neighborhoods. I haven't found the staff particuarly warm or accomodating, but they were somewhat efficient during our check-in process so that was fine.

Close to the functions I attended. I'd like it for them to serve a breakfast that comes with the stay. Hotel was in the moderate zone. It was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

No refrigerator or microwave. Limited food in restaraunts, you could eat everything on the menu in 5 days eating once a day, other restaraunts are too far away, no microwaves, no refrigerator.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very nice lobby area to meet people, room were well furnished and beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly.

The location is easy to find and convenient. The restaurant is right in the lobby - no walls at all. Good place to stay.

Nothing. Renovations made parking and the experience itself the worst experience I've ever had.

It wass my favorite hotel in Chapel hill. My room was next to the ice machine (loud).
Date of Stay:

Full service breakfast, and a bar. TVchannel selection was very limited. Wonderful staff and very clean.
Date of Stay:

Clean, comfortable room. Hot tub too hot; swimming pool not heated. Very good experience. Rooms, lobby and restaurant areas clean and well appointed. Bathrooms very clean. The only disappointment was the swimming pool (not heated and slightly dirty) and the hot tub - so hot you really couldn't use.

This hotel was very well-maintained, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There was no way to make the room completely dark, to keep the sun from shining in too early in the a.m. In a location convenient to I-40, Chapel Hill and the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, this pleasant hotel was busy but not hectic. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the food was hot and fresh. The beds were comfortable and the linens crisp.

Ease of location, parking, welcoming of staff and comfort of room. Nothing. Good place to stay, friendly and close to campus. Beautifully decorated and inviting.

Clean, comfortable, good location Cleaning staff removed personal items from room. Very nice, comfortable room with couch. Only bad experience was cleaning staff took contact lens case and box of strawberries. But front desk compensated with free breakfast and replaced contact lens case.

I had long days, the bed was very comfortable and I slept very well each night. There is nothing that I did not like, except I didn't have time to fully enjoy all of its amenities. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. It is located in a very attractive community and it is an attractive addition to the landscape. The staff was very helpful and met all of our needs. The food that we ate was good (especially the homemade potato chips). There is nothing I would offer as an improvement. I really enjoyed my stay.

The breakfast. The beds were hard. The hotel was in a great location and the breakfast was awesome. Made to order omelets!

Clean hotel with attentive staff. Clean hotel with attentive staff Lobby scent was strange - think they might have been trying to make it smell fragrant - but not successful.
Date of Stay:

It was comfortable, bright and clean. Difficult to find.

Very clean. Good quality restarant, Free internet access. Nothing. Exceed all expectations. Food at restaurant was better than I'm used to in a hotel and the price was very reasonable. Free wireless internet access worked very well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet. Beds were not comfortable. This hotel is conveniently located near the Friday Center in Chapel Hill. Business travelers will find the high speed internet in every room a nice asset. The rooms and hotel lobby have been nicely decorated. The beds, which are not, comfortable, detract from the overall stay. The hotel should really consider upgrading their mattresses in order to compete with comparable hotels.
