Excellent location, very close to Metro and Washington Nationals Stadium. Would definitely choose to stay here again. Very accomodating staff.

The hotel employees were wonderful. It was a bit off the beaten path. We were very pleased with our accommodations at The Courtyard by Marriot. Very nice staff, always friendly and willing to answer our questions. Our room was clean and spacious.
Date of Stay:
April, 2009
The Courtyard is a nice new hotel. Location is a bit awkward, there's not much within walking distance, but real close to a metro stop. Being out of towners, we thought it would be closer to sightseeing but we didn't look into the location that closely ahead of time. We had an hour long wait to get our room at 4:00 on the day of check-in. They upgraded us to a suite, but it was almost like it was more convenient for them since it was ready than it was an apology to us. Our kids had to sleep on a pull-out sofa, which was fine but wouldn't have suited other guests. Beds were super-comfortable. Pool and hot-tub was nice to have but a bit dirty. Breakfast buffet was just OK - they should do away with the long wait for the waffles and custom omelettes. Parking was reasonable. I would try to find a location closer next time but it was good in our last-minute pinch.

July, 2008
The staff at this hotel were all so nice to us. The front desk staff especially with directions, suggestions, etc. They were so patient with us "tourists". We were very comfortable at the hotel and enjoyed our stay immensely. We would stay here again if in the area. It was a little further away from some of the sites but the metro location was so close that it made it convenient. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Nice hotel. Clean and safe. Located near several cheap places to eat and a Starbucks. Very convenient to Metro Station which gives you All of Washington without driving! The hotel is geared more toward business travellers than families in my opinion, but its location near the Nationals Ballpark made it a great choice for my family. I would go back, although I wasn't fond of the breakfast. People were nice.

Had refrig & coffee in room; great staff; Starbucks & CVS near. Metro very close. Hotel location had no restaurants within safe, reasonable walk. We found the desk staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was fresh & clean; delighted to find a frig and coffeemaker! Hotel was very near a Metro, bus-stop, Starbucks and CVS!

Good location, one block from the Metro, spent only 15 on the Metro the entire weekend! Nice rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, nice shower head, faucet could take off paint with its pressure! LOL Flat screen TV was a definite plus. Front desk was very helpful. Very close to the Nationals Ballpark. An ideal location if you are coming to see the Nationals play your favorite ball team. Within in minutes, via Metro, to the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Smithsodian sites, the Verizon Center, Chinatown (plenty of restaurants/bars). There was a CVS one block from hotel, as well as a Starbuck's Coffee shop.

The hotel was relatively new. It is very close to Nationals Park. The location is very convenient to the Metro. Although the are is heavily under construction, it seems very safe. Nearly everything in the area will be new within the next 12 to 18 months. The only negative is that the parking is very tight if you do not have a compact vehicle.

Availability to the Metro. There was nothing at all close to the Hotel. It was a nice and clean hotel. The service was excellent and however, there was no complimentary parking and there was nothing but a Starbucks and a CVS close around.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
Hotel was a good find for the price, espeically for a family vacation with small kids. The hotel front desk was very attentive and helpful. All staff was very friendly. Service in hotel was good. Nice size rooms. The dining in hotel is out in open, but food was acceptable. Prices were found to be comparable to other eating establishments outside of fast food restaurants. If you don't mind going out of the area for meals, which one can easily do with the excellect Metro system, it's a good location. Obviously, this area of town is on the rise with the new stadium being belt nearby. The housekeeping could have been a little better about picking up the garbage and vacuuming/sweeping floors. The kids really enjoyed the pool which wasn't too deep for them (3.5 ft max).

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Too far andisolated.

We were a little worried about the location of this hotel, but it was no problem. There is a nice CVS and several fast food places nearby. Always felt safe and Metro stop is very close. The staff was wonderful. Rooms are great - my son loved the 32"" HDTV in the room. Everything is new and the rooms are large.

hotel was only 3 wks old when i came. staff was excellent. cvs pharmacy right on corner as well as right at the Metro. Wouldn't want to walk around at night after 10pm or so - but with that being said, i never once felt unsafe.- The 32"" hdtvLCD tvs were great!! as well as the layout of the room w/ mini fridge & sitting area.

Great location compared to National Park. Parking garage was tight fitted and not marked well. Overall good experience. Best place to stay of traveling down to see the Nationals play and plenty of open seats.

The room was much nicer than expected. The location was a bit out of the city and not completely safe. The hotel was very nice. I had a king size bed, a couch, and a large flat screen television. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Clean, really friendly staff right next to the metro navy stop. No restaurant or decent places to eat with out taking transportation.

Across the street from the metro. Very easy to get to sights in DC. No restaurants in immediate vicinity. The hotel was good value for an in town hotel. Courteous and polite staff. Room was very clean and new. They didn't have rooms with double beds so one of us slept on the convertible sofa (ouch). Also, the TV could only beseen from one side of the bed.

The front desk staff was courteous, friendly and outgoing very helpful with directions. A stain on the sheet, hair on bath floor, need more help inthe morning dining. We stayed at this hotel for 5 days in early April 2009 for the cherry blossom festival. The room was clean the hotel lobby is clean, everything was well maintained. I couldn't say enough good things about the front desk staff, they were always friendly, helpful, and professional. They are very knowledgeable of the area and different modes of transportation. The morning breakfast was fresh and well worth the wait. I recommend going down early for breakfast as they need 1 more person in this area for help. This was a hotel I would recommend to families and travelers and I would come back and stay again. I am excited to come back to DC again.

The staff was AMAZING! Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing. Rooms are comfortable & clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Convenient location one block from the metro stop. Starbucks, CVS drug store and others all nearby if you need them. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
