The Courtyard by Marriott Camarillo, was reasonably comfortable and remarkably quiet. Let me start by saying I was astounded by the absolute quiet in my room. Several highschool field hockey teams were staying in the hotel and playing in a nearby tournament. They hung around sitting and talking just as one would expect (laughing etc.) The group that was most active sat on the landing in the stairwell, as it happens right next to my room. Inside the room, even with the TV off I could not hear a single sound originating outside the room: this includes these kids, running water, vehicles, etc. On the other hand: My idea of the perfect hotel is one with both room service and at least a minifridge and coffeepot. This hotel had neither. The coffeepot sat alone on top of the dresser next to the TV. Instead of a restaurant (let alone room service) the hotel had a sort of breakfast buffet (not even cheap, let alone free,)and a sort of bookcase filled with snacks one could pay for at the front desk for any other time of day. Free coffee in the morning near the front desk was fine, but I have come to regard coffee in my room while I dress as a must. Without a minifridge the coffeepot in the room can only offer the options of black or black with sweetener (or in a pinch the much hated powdered creamer'.) The ice machine on my floor was actually farther and harder to get to than it would have been if I had just gone down to the first floor. Based upon the back of the door map it was literally as far from my room as it was actually possible to get. This made cold water as difficult to get as hot coffee.

We stay here every time we visit our daughter at CSUCI. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There are several restaurants and a movie theater within walking distance. A good value.

The pool was great it was heated and not too cold and the spa was indoors which made it nice. I didn't like the fact that it was a non smoking room and the room smell of nothing but cigarettes and our key card stopped working.

Nice hotel, good for overnight stay. Toilet was broken 3 times in two days, refuse to change the room, no apologies. Room key was also twice decibel. Other than that overwriting was very good.

Amenities, lobby area, beds, landscaping, androom. The front of the hotel was maturely landscaped and very clean. Upon entering the lobby; I noticed very large open seating areas that were complimented with candles and flower arrangements; almost giving it a spa like atmosphere. The hotel was quiet. The front desk personnel were very friendly. Upon entering the room; I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and room. Since the entire hotel was non-smoking; the entire hotel smelled as if it had been remodeled and had that new carpet and fresh paint smell. Our room was located poolside first floor and really enjoyed the ground floor pool side patio. Both outdoor pool area and indoor Jacuzzi areas were kept neat and clean. The lobby area offered the 24 hour coffee, tea and lemon ice water service; this was excellent! The room was spacious enough for my husband and myself. The free internet service with the desk and chair was great for the office work that needed to be done. The hotel also offered a work out room and fully cooked breakfast for purchase; which I did not utilize either of these services but did view the areas of both and again was pleased with the cleanliness and decor.

Very quiet and clean. Landscaping was pretty. My only problem was finding this hotel. It is in the back of some stores and no visible signs. I was very comfortable in this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone. I would have liked a small microwave and a tea bag as I don't drink coffee.
