Overall, the hotel was OK. My only complaints were that the floor was not vacumed very well...there was some trash left under the edge of the bed. Also, toilet paper and coffee were not replenished after maid service on the 2nd day. We had to call down to the front desk to get these things. The front desk was very helpful, however. Don't forget your hair dryer...the hotel does not have these!

The Homewood Marriott Coutyard is one of my favorite places to stay. It is located in a lovely suburb of Birmingham, close to shopping, great dining (Brio) and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The rooms appear to have been updated and remodeled since my last visit there and they are clean, comfortable and tasteful. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Even though I never got around to using the fitness center or the swimming pool, it appeared more than adequate and the pool was inviting. I highly recommend this hotel whether for business or pleasure. Wireless Internet might have been nice, but the desk and workstation with free hi speed cable was certainly suitable.

The balcony. The ironing board pad was lumpy. The hotel is well located near the interstate, shopping and good restaurants. I was quite comfortable for my one night stay.

The location was good, andI liked the bed and the balcony. Breakfast buffet was not free; shortage of parking; no bathroom fan. We only stayed 2 nights but overall impression of the hotel was good. The rooms were fairly spacious; there was a small fridge and nice bed linens, and the shower's water pressure was great (though the drain didn't work very well). Noise from the hall was noticeable at times but didn't really notice much noise from neighboring rooms. Front desk staff wasn't super friendly but still nice and sufficiently helpful. It was also nice to be able to hop on the computer in the lobby a couple of times to do a Goggle search for local establishments.

Staff extremely accommodating when first room had a problem. Nothing. Very convenient to major arteries, with excellent access to downtown and shopping areas. Consistent with what we have come to expect from Courtyard by Marriott facilities and services elsewhere.

It was clean. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was clean. As for everything else: The beds were horribly uncomfortable, the walls were paper thin so we were forced to listen to our neighbors conversations all night, the thermostat didn't work properly, there was no fan in the bathroom, parking was very limited so we weren't able to park anywhere near our room. We would not have eaten it if we had known they were going to charge us $25 for a few eggs and biscuits. Overall this hotel is not worth the money.

It had been remodeled and it had improved since my last stay there. I really can't think of anything, it exceeded our expectations. This hotel is remodeled and clean. The staff was friendly and most people would be pleased with their stay there.

Location! Overall, the hotel itself was great but it was in walking distance to a lot of places. Nothing. Such an excellent place to stay that is convenient to a lot of restaurants and near a mall and minutes from downtown. I thought it was an excellent place to stay.

The cleanliness. Had to park too far from hotel while rainy. Every thing about this hotel was excellent.
