I found this fabulous hotel on Orbitz and read all the reviews before choosing the perfect hotel. It was close to the airport - so cab fairs are reasonable. The hotel is nice and clean, there is a mini-refrigerator in the room, free internet service for all guests and the personnel are super friendly and very helpful. We had some light bulbs out and a hair dryer that broke and they came and replaced it right away. When we asked about good local restaurants, they were quick to offer GREAT suggestions. Coconuts across the street is an AWESOME place to eat! We loved it! The beach is literally a 2 minute walk - simply go to the Mezzanine level of the hotel, go out by the pool, down some stairs, across a road and there you are right on the beach. The best time to go is in the morning because there is a great sandbar for young kids to play out in the ocean on. There is a GREAT pizza dive just a block away and the food is inexpensive and AWESOME! Make sure you bring cash - that is all they take. Also, the strip is full of shops and restaurants - great news is CVS is just a few blocks away and the prices are very reasonable. You can get bottled water and everything you need. By the CVS is a terrific Haagen Das Ice Cream parlor. I promise you cannot stop with just one trip! In reality - it was the perfect vacation for our family - 2 adults and 2 children (ages 4 & 10). We have no complaints and no regrets. It is by far - THE BEST FAMILY VACATION WE HAVE EVER TAKEN! I recommend it to everyone! We will definitely be going back again next year... and probably for many years to come!

Very friendly staff, especially valet. No food at the poolside bar. I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. The free internet was priceless. Good location to restaurant and beach.

Stayed for a long weekend. Great location across the street from the beach. Dining and shopping wihin easy walking distance. Don't need a car if you're not going anywhere else. Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Didn't use the pool because the beach was right across the street. Great place for a long weekend getaway.

i traveled with my 12yr old son......we both loved it.......great location,great beaches.......absolutely wonderful..........the kicker was............we arrived at 11 am.........and they let us check in early with no charge!........never had that happen before!.....great staff as well........will definitely go back!

We went to just hang out on the beach and relax. The weather cooperated for the most part. If it had to rain it was good that it was usually early morning or late afternoon, so we were able to hang on the beach for a good part of the day. The location was great. Very convenient for restaurants and bars and shopping. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. I was very pleased. The only thing that would have been nice would have been a complimentary continental breakfast. It was a different atmosphere than other places we have been since the past couple years we have done the all inclusive thing. But it was a pleasant weekend getaway and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing I thought the hotel was missing was a jacuzzi.

Had computers and printers for use. After paying for hotel had to pay for parking $30 a day. No live music as advertised, small pool.

This hotel is perfect for beach-goers. The location is perfect, with a 15 second walk across A1A to the Fort Lauderdale beach. Views are breath taking from both the east and the west. Staff could use some help. Pool was cold every day and the air temp. was 82. Indoor restaurant left a lot to be desired with poor wait staff and incompetent bartenders. Tiki bar outside was very nice with skilled and polite bartenders. Happy hour entertainment was nice as well. Housekeeping needs improvement as dishes will sit outside the room for a full day berfore being removed. $25/day to park isn't cheap. Maintence department needs to fix elevators. Very slow. Outdoor elevator gets stuck frequently. (with people inside). Concierge was nowhere to be found all week.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and had flat screen tv's. Bedding was changed and housekeeping was on the ball. The restaurant is over priced and the food portions were small.. (Not Recommended) The pool was a little run down, but an ok place to chill away from the beach. The hotel is very close to the beach and has an exit near the pool thats leads you right to the beach. However you must cross the road to get there.. Its closer to the beach than most of the other hotels on that same strech. The location is great and is in walking distance from many good restaurants,bars, and shops. A suggestion is the quarterdeck grill which is extremely close and had great food for a good value. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again. **** BUT IF YOU PLAN TO STAY HERE AND HAVE A RENTAL CAR PLAN ON PAYING 25.00 A NITE FOR PARKING **** This seemed very expensive and I was never told about it until I arrived... Surprise !! Thier is a public lot near by, but it's metered and thye have a 10 hour limit. Hope this helped !! Good Luck and have fun !!

The location of this hotel is excellent. However, parking is a problem as you are required to pay $27.50 a day to park in their lot. We found a place nearby for $15.00. We were not familiar with the area and wished to use the concierge's desk to answer our questions. We stayed two nights and did not see anyone at the desk during that time. We thought of using the pool, but upon inspection we realized that it had not been treated recently and was extremely murky. The hotel is not cheap especially with the parking issue. If we go back to Ft. Lauderdale, we will spend some time looking for a hotel other than the Marriott.

Besides not being directly on the beach, it was great. Located on the strip. Nothing over fancy, great room service, Valet Parking, Pool, etc. Would surely recommend for the cost. No problems.

from our first day in the hotel the staff was real friendly. they were very accommodating. we wanted to stay for four days, but the room was only available for three. the staff was able to make arrangements to reserve the same room without moving to another room. the only downturn is the valet parking.

relaxed, took trolley tour, shopped, rested and walked the beach and boulevard. we loved all of the above within walking distance. no need to rent a car. perfect 4 night getaway within the u.s.

I found this hotel by accident. I am a 42 yr old female who travels w/ my friends. we stayed here in July 2008 and this past weekend 8/14. Very clean, friendly staff. My room in July was quiet, this time I was close to the elevator and had "traffic" noise. Pool area is nice and they have 1/2 price appies from 4-7 as well as live music. DO NOT USE THE VALET FOR $25. The lot next to the hotel is $10 bucks, you can come and go as you please and it is good til 11 A.M. the next day. Do not listen to the hotel bad mouth them as they are nice people and will work with you. They do not tow, the hotel just wants your money. That is my only complaint with the hotel. If you go to the beach I would tell you to walk out the front and go to the right. Buy a chair for $15. The chairs on the beach cost $10 per day and they take them from you at 4 which is a rip off. If you walk to the left you will find places to eat, drink, party and shop. I loved the location. You are also close to the intercoastal water taxi. They have free coffee in the lobby all day, internet access. Bar specials at happy hour as well. Rooms have a refrigerator but there are no safes. Oh, and they also have a area by check in that sells help serve food and beer. You can microwave a late night snack and grab a drink. I was happy with the hotel, I think you would be too.

The new Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel provided such a pleasant stay at this local. Location allowed me to take long strolls on the beach just across the street.. The hotel was very clean and with their fresh updated look was very charming. Comfortable bed and tons of pillows to your likening ? Free Wi-Fi, flat screen tv?s and an early morning paper to start off the day. The valet service was like you were at a 5-star hotel ? the gentlemen were kind and always asked if you needed directions. The Staff was great from the moment I was checking in and gave me tons of ideas on what there was to do during my stay. I will recommend this hotel to all my family and friends and I will stay here the next time I visit Fort Lauderdale ? ?Venice of America?

I was surprised at how clean the room was, and how close it was to the beach. If you prefer a quiet place to stay, I would recommend this place during the week, but during the weekend, especially when it's nice out during the holiday, it's very crowded and loses its quiet atmosphere.

It was right on the beach! 26 per day parking fee. The hotel was very nice, with an excellent location. The only problem was parking fee of 26 dollars per day and it was valet only too.

The hotel was terrific, the service was great, and the access to the clean uncrowded beach was an easy walk across a low-traffic street. We will stay there again the first chance we get! Bonus -- no spring break crowd at all, and the week after Easter was all about families. We paid the AAA rate, which was a generous discount. Beds were so comfortable, rooms have flat screen TV's, our marina view was especially beautiful at night. Go for a higher floor for a better view. Business center is always crowded, so if you need to work, take your laptop. Otherwise no complaints at all, we loved it.

The Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach, Was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very plesant. We liked the fact that the vallet parking attendants were great. We would not essitate to recomend the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach to our friends.
