I had a very good time, the food was excelent. There needs to be better fumagation on the land, you get bit quite a bit. It was funny to see everyone on the bus back to the airport scratching.

My wife and I have been to Couples Swept Away twice since Dec 2007. The first time was for our marraige and honeymoon. The second time was to celebrate our first anniversary. Both times have been outstanding. After arriving at the Montego Bay airport and making our way to the Couples Lounge, we were impressed by the friendliness of the Couples staff. After riding approximately 1 and 1/2 hours to the resort, we were met at check-in with cold wash clothes and glasses of champagne. Check-in took about 10 minutes and we were in our room. Everything was as promised in their brochures. The rooms were clean and even though there are no non-smoking rooms, we did not detect the odor of smoke anywhere in our room. The minibar and small refrigerator were restocked every day and the breakfast that we requested be delivered to our room every morning was always excellent. The nightly turn down service was a treat. Our favorite for lunch was at the Seagrapes, where we normally ate the grilled fish and had fresh sweet potato chips with jalapeno dip for an appetizer. Evening meals were excellent at all of the restaurants but we especially liked the buffet when they had Beach Night. The beach is exceptionally well maintained. It is a very fine white sand and never felt crowded even when the resort was fully booked. I was surprised when a lot of the staff remembered us from our wedding the year before. I must admit that the staff of Couples is the one of the main reasons that we love their resorts. The grounds are lush and it is a pleasure to wake up in the morning with parrots in the trees next to your verandah. We're going back for our anniversary in 2009.

Perfect vacation! Food, service and amenities were all top notch. The only thing we would do differently is pay extra and stay farther in on the property. We had a garden veranda suite and the road noise was loud at all hours of the day and night! We are already planning our next visit back and have highly recommended it to several other couples.

We recently stayed at Couples Swept Away, Negril for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it! The grounds are beautiful as is the beach! Definitely eat at Feathers at some point in your stay and I'd also suggest getting off the resort for a meal one night of your stay. We went to Rockhouse for a sunset dinner our last night there and dining on the rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean was the perfect compliment to a week spent on the beautiful white sandy beach! We want to visit a couple of other islands before we go back, but I don't think they will compare!

We have been to several all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and decided to try one in Jamaica. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and made the trip with another couple. This was our first trip to Jamaica and the Couples Resort. We loved Negril and the Resort, however, the rooms were a bit outdated. The other facilities were very nice; the fitness center, restaurants, etc. The restaurants were very comfortable and offered a wide selection of foods. We loved the breakfast and lunch buffets as well as the sit-down, order from the menu dinners. There was never a lack of food. Most of all, we loved the beach. The sand was like fine sugar and the water was clear and calm. We spent the majority of our days lying on the beach in lounge chairs or on floats in the ocean, it was that calm. There was never a lack of service when on the beach. Servers came by frequently with drinks and when they didn't, there were a couple of bars set up on the beach. There was never a lack of lounge chairs, but covered spots were hard to come by. The pools were nice too, but a little on the small side. The swim-up bar was great and the bartenders were always accommodating. Daytime activities included; basket weaving, jewelry making, bartending lessons. Lots of water sports to participate in, including kayaking, water bikes, snorkeling trips, catamaran cruise. Jet skis and parasailing were also available for a fee. Nightlife at the resort was limited. Piano bar was fun, disco was a little lame. There was a beach bonfire one evening, but overall, not much nightlife. Lots of honeymooners too, in fact, I would say 90-95%. We met some wonderful people from all over the states and beyond. Everyone very relaxed and friendly.

Excellent Value -- We loved our honeymoon here. Just got back a couple days ago. Unlimited everything for a pretty good price. Everything was 5-star: the rooms, the service, the food, the facilities, the watersports selection, etc. Make sure you do the snorkeling on the coral reefs at least once!

Every meal at the hotel was something unique and very tasty with a good local variety. The staff were excellent, there was not a single unpleasant encounter with anybody. The resort was not crowded at all. We took part in all of the included activities which were all very good. Restaurants (2 need reservations: do this at start of trip) were all excellent. Bring a good insect repellant (trust me). Before booking, DO NOT add hotel transfers as it is included when you book the hotel. At Montego Bay airport there is a Couples lounge that offers refreshments and red stripe beer.

There's no doubt in my mind that I will return to this resort again. My boyfriend and I had such an amazing vacation. We had a room in the new section of the resort and it was absolutely gorgeous (I heard that the rooms on the old side aren't quite as nice). There were activities if you wanted to do something, but at the same time you didnt feel as though u were missing out by just kickin back on the beach. There are so many things to rave about Swept Away. 1st of all the staff was amazing, they get to know you and have you dancing on the dance floor in minutes. Secondly, the food was amazing, whether you did the buffet or made reservations in the restaurants (which was rediculously delicious!!). Lemongrass had some spectacular Thai food and Feathers had some to-die-for desserts, make your reservations a couple days in advace, they fill up pretty quick. And the drinks, such amazing drinks! They're not pouring weak drinks, and they sure aren't pouring from the well, so no terrible hangovers from bad alcohol. We went in October, so its the rainy season, which turned out to be perfect (and a lil cheaper), the rain coincided right with lunch and a mid-afternoon nap. I had everything I needed the whole vacation, and more! The only bad thing...the room service breakfast was lacking, just a couple muffins...but o well, getting breakfast in the dining room was worth it, get the smoothie every morning, they change it up everyday, and you have to indulge in the bananna french toast...its soooo delicious! I Love Couples Swept Away!

My wife and I arrived for our honeymoon and spent 5 nights there. It was an amazing time!!!!! The food at all restaurants was AWESOME! The bars were good, the water was crystal clear and warm. I would recommend that you get the next room up with a TV if you like sleeping with noise, because the base room lacks that. Also, we had a huge ant infestation, but called and the staff was there the next day and it was all cleaned up. The rec center/spa is wonderful, and more activities than you could do in a month there. We are definately going back to Couples, going to give the Negril a shot, its right down the street.

Although description of rooms states air conditioned let me explain what that really means. When we stepped into our room there was no glass on windows. There was only screens and shutters and a very small ac. It took almost the entire first day to cool off. By the door there are notes that say to conserve energy turn it off when you leave butwe did not want to so we could come in during the day but when we came back after the maid left the ac was turned off and the shutters were all opened. this happened every day. Also all of the restaurants but one did not have an ac.The food also was not great nor was the service in the restaurants.

Overall, the hotel was very nice - the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and quite nicely presented. We were a little dismayed with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel - it looks like it could use a little attention. Otherwise, a great time and we would definately return.

The fun starts upon landing at met at the Airport and served drinks. The ride to the complex was smooth and the driver was very informative. We were met at the Lobby with a damp wash cloth to clean our face and hands. Our bags were carried to the room. After that the dining area was our next trip where we enjoyed a very good meal. The beach is terrific with lounge chairs we up. The beach party with some very good entertainment was provided. A Catamerand Cruise was another benefit which is a lot of fun. In the sports area there was very much to do including a masage. Santa Claus came by surf board on the beach Christmas Day and handed out goodies. Walk down the beach and see various shops. There are several places to eat and they were all good. The Swept Away let us know what time to have our bags outside the door and when they would take us to the Airport. Very EFFICIENT

Couples Swept Away swept my husband and I away from reality. We got married on the beach there and everything was so perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They would do anything to make your stay better. Anything we asked, it was No problem, mon. Beach was not crowded, there was always plenty of floaties and lounger. Security was excellent (at least inside the resort). This resort is for a romantic getaway for any age group. We are in our 20's but made friends with many couples in their 60's. This resort has an intimate atmosphere, and definitely not suitable for family or big groups. Good variety of meal choices and entertainment/activities. Highly recommended for lovers.

The grounds of Couples Swept Away are beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious and very well kept. The restaurants on the complex offers a great variety so no matter what you tastes you will find something you will enjoy. Couples Swept Away offers daily activities that you can participate if you so choose. I liked this because it gave me the flexibility to attend or not. The staff of Couples are wonderful. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. If you want to leave the complex and do some site seeing you can do that too! Couples offers various tours packages for your pleasure, or just hire a taxi and do your own thing. We definitely will be returning to Couples.

Couples Swept Away Negril was very beautiful. The room was large and inviting. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We loved our veranda and spent many hours watching the ocean and the amazing sunsets. The bathroom was large with oversized tub, however, the water pressure was very low. We enjoyed the many choices for dining. The resort had a large selection of activities so everyone could find something to enjoy.
