We ate twice in their restaurant and found the staff absolutely great!

Room was beautifully decorated, breakfast was excellent. Room was tiny, on second floor, no elevator, difficult to access with luggage. Had to insist on shuttle service to airport. Was told by staff that shuttle service ended at 1 pm, and I would have to pay 18 USD for a taxi.

The hotel itself was nice and the price could not be beat. Maid service was excellent. I was quoted different costs for cab rides, which turned out to be inaccurate into SJ. Turns out the cab ride should have been 10 - 12 dollars. In San Jose itself I did not incur any problems, but was dumb founded that a hotel staff would be so inaccurate. I am a frequent user of this hotel chain in the states and the service has always been great. However, I was surprised by the management and staff. Shady! Just Shady! Be aware.

The room was Very clean, spacius and the king bed was fine. The staff was very helpful, working with us on any request. Has a beautiful pool and courtyard. The restruant was fine , prices ok and good selection on the menue. 2 small cosinos right down the street. If I ever went back to San Jose, would stay here again. dale

The hotel is nice; however, the idea of being an American brings certain costs. For instance, these individuals(front desk staff) do not believe in providing good customer service. There interests are purely that of money. Be careful and it is probably best to get hotel DWNTN San Jose, as the cost of transportation is too much to travel to the city. At the most, it should be ten dollars, however, the taxi's charge 20 US dollars. The Carlson Brand is not what it used to be when I used this chain when working in the US. The rooms are clean, the maids are wonderful and I tipped them on many occassions as there service was wonderful. Costa Rica will have a difficult time growing financially, as the incentive to bilk guests and visitors are terrible! Carlson should look into this Hotel. Be aware!

The Comfort Inn and Suites was the last of seven hotels on an 11 day trip around Costa Rica. We stayed at resorts and in cabinas (Costa Rican motels). We had spent two nights in a nasty expensive room in Puntarenas and were hoping our airport hotel would be better.

everything about our stay was beyond our expectations: the setting, the ambiance, the staff, especially the dining room staff, were very professional and constantly making sure that everything was taken care off. we traveled with a 19 month old, and they (staff) could not have been friendlier and more helpful. the food, both breakfast and in room service, was always ready and delicious. this hotel is a must next time we travel to tiquicia.

I recently stayed at the Costa Rica Country Inns and Suites. I had a great experience all around. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. The breakfast is a typical Country breakfast with a few Costa Rican dishes(GREAT!!). Beautiful swimming pool area and close to the airport. I will definately return.

"The hotel is in a good location, not too far from the airport (but not too close). The pool outdoors is very nice and the hotel feels very tropical and resort-like. The staff super!"
