All in all a pleasant stay! We had a suite which fit our family perfectly. Nice and clean room. 2 t.v's for kids to watch while adults had their own. Nice breakfast area with average foods available. Nice people running breakfast. I can't express enough how it's important for me to have a clean room and this hotel is clean!

The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Youngstown West was very nice and the rooms looked very new and clean. We had a room with a king bed and a pull-out sofa for our teenager. The single elevator was dreadfully slow and broke down completely on the morning of our departure. Hotel staff was very friendly and apologized profusely for the elevator troubles. The hotel was located conveniently off I-80 en route from New York City to Detroit. There were several restaurants in this cluster of hotels and restaurants, although we arrived too late to eat there. Breakfast was a good spread of a variety of breakfast foods, both hot and cold. The breakfast buffet was nicely presented.

Good breakfast. Ants in our room and a bit pricey for the location. Very average, not a 3 star hotel, ants in our room made it a very unpleasant experience. The breakfast was good and the price was a little high for Youngstown and very few amenities. No hot tub in the pool.

This was the highlight of our trip. I have 4 kids, so finding a hotel to meet our needs fully is a challenge. Here, we had our needs met so well that stayed an extra night. When my car battery was dead, the maintenance man went beyond his job description and promptly gave me a jump. The breakfast was satisfying and even changed a little each day giving us variety. We stayed in a room with two queen beds and a hideaway couch. There were TWO large TVs to boot which we could plug our portable DVD player or game machine into. Most other hotel TVs don't allow this option. The all day coffee and cookies were also a plus. All this for a great rate. I would stay again in a heartbeat, and likely will when visiting my family.

My family of 3 adults, 3 young children, stayed here around the 4th of July. The 6 of us were very comfortable in the room. We loved having a "kids' room" (sofa bed, separate area) and tvs in both areas was a ++. Nice little fridge, microwave, and small coffee station. It was clean, and staff were very pleasant and helpful & appear to like their jobs. Recently built (2-3 years) and well taken care of. Pool was nice & clean, not crowded at all. Small exercise room. Nice breakfast & good coffee flowing all day. Front desk staff only had brochures for one area attraction ("nothing to do in Youngstown"). Think outta the box. They could've had brochures for Cedar Point, Football Hall of Fame, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and other drivable points of interest. Just do your research before you go. We would definitely return to this particular hotel & would try the chain in another location, too. Great value for our family!

The Fire Place in the Lobby. Nothing - Everything was great! The beautiful lobby to the spacious rooms, everything was beautiful. The wonderful breakfast bar offers fresh pastries and self serve waffles and the clean rooms have a moderate TV and living space and have to include the FREE Internet! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that likes clean and comfortable hotels.

Okay, I do alot of traveling and this of the "best" hotels I have stayed at, I wish they were all like this. The staff was great, the breakfast was great, the room was great (even consistent hot water in the shower :-). I almost hated to go home!!!

Country Inn and Suites is very clean, with spacious rooms, and a courteous hotel staff.

It's clean and pleasant. The pool was shut down, and I really had hoped to use it. It was nice enough, but I didn't like the way they communicated the fine for smoking, which I don't do, and they still ask for car information, which seems so old fashioned. Overall, though, it was a good enough experience.

Upon arrival the desk clerk was very competent and courteous. The reception area was comforting and warm with the fireplace lit, and the decorations for Christmas all around. Our room was exceptional, the sleeping arangement was tailor made for this grandma and the grandson...I was able to close the door while he was watching MTV....Thank You for a very pleasant stay.

Beware. This hotel is overpriced. The quality of the hotel & room was OK. The hotel was being remodeled and the hallways had dust/dust all over. There is the standard breakfast bar, again Ok. I will not stay at this location or for that matter in the Youngstown area again. The rooms are overpriced!

nice layout, pretty deco, clean, friendly helpful staff Dining room had a very dirty floor. JUST NEEDED SWEPT nice friendly staff, our room itself was nice and clean. but pool and fitness area and some rooms were under construction and they had not swept halls and stairs for awhile. On a whole was a nice place. I was not happy with dining room the floors were dirty (and not from contruction) they just needed swept. Would stay here again though.

Big rooms, nice hot complete breakfast. It recently had a water main break Dec 08 under construction. I have stayed here before and it is a nice hotel. Big rooms, nice beds, great hot breakfast. Normally a wonderful hotel but just suffered a major water main break that damaged most of the hotel and they are working to fix it backup. My room was fine just two weeks after the water main break.

Very clean. Front entrance was an eye-sore. Trash over flowing at the entrance. Leaves in and around lobby. Were still there when we checked out.

Family friendly, warm and inviting. After a long day of traveling this hotel provided me and the family a warm and inviting place to stay. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was helpful with every question we had. Our room was neat, clean, and quiet; making for a wonderful night's sleep. Overall, this was an excellent experience while traveling over the river and trough the woods to get to grandmother's house.
