Went to Asheville for a wedding at Biltmore. Stayed two nights at Country Inn. Liked the non-smoking policy for the whole building and grounds. Staff unbelievably friendly. Hotel was full, and I don't know what to do about noisy guests. Room walls were thick, however, so that helped. Fitness center could use a better elliptical machine. Breakfast could use real half and half, not the powdered stuff with hydrogenated oil. Overall, I'd stay again, for sure.

The hotel looked nearly new, but is at least 3 years old. It was clean and included a nice breakfast. My only complaint is that we had 2 double bes instead of a king or even a queen.

We very much enjoyed our night here--Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was shut down and that was a disapointment. This hotel met the high standards we have come to rely on from this Hotel Chain. Breakfast was wonderful, although we could do without the tv noise in the corner...but this seems to be the standard in all breakfast rooms.

Our first visit at this facility was five years ago, three days after initial opening. We return each spring to ride the Appalachian Mountain roads on our motorcycles. The staff is very accommodating, the rooms predictably very nice, and the location serves our purpose well.

Comfortable and affordable. Nice breakfast. Little bit of a drive to downtown, but not bad. This was a very nice hotel for the money. Not a far drive or cab ride to downtown Asheville. Plenty of restaurants in the local area. Was a comfortable hotel, and would be good for a family.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and boasted both an indoor pool and spa. The office staff was helpful and courteous. Their breakfast includes several hot items as well as yogurt, cereal, pastry and bagels. There are a number of restaurants within a few miles of the hotel. My husband and I chose the two-night special including 2-day tickets to the Biltmore (about 3 miles away). Overall a good value for the money and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Disappointed in this hotel. The hotel is squeezed into a narrow strip of land. My kids thought everything was miniature. The pool is tiny. The breakfast area is tiny. The lobby is small, but nicely decorated. The parking lot should never have been approved by the town building council - it's too small and difficult to get in/out. The room was very small. The beds were hard and not restful. The breakfast was the usual fare OK, but no room to sit, no room to get food - again it's the mini-hotel. We did not get our money's worth from this stay. Go to a Hampton Inn or other similar hotel. I won't be back to this hotel, or try any other hotel in this chain. Lesson learned, not to be repeated.

Entirely smoke- free facility! Breakfast was wonderful. Can't think of anything. I usually don't fill surveys out, but I felt that Country Inn and Suites deserves props in this instance. Everything was clean, the staff members I spoke with were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good (hot food). Beds were comfortable, and they were entirely smoke-free, which I was thrilled about. I would easily recommend Country Inn and Suites to friends and family.

My wife and I and our three kids stayed here for four days. Everything was perfect. A crib for our baby was waiting in the room when we arrived. Any special request we needed for our childred were promptly addressed. The staff was very friendly. The only problem we had here was the rudeness of some of the guests. A man pushed my son aside so he could get to the FREE food. This man also drove away in a NEW Corvette.

This Country Inn and Suites was great! It was very clean and the staff was wonderful. It is only moments from downtown and the Grove Park Inn make this the perfect spot for Asheville! The breakfast was wonderful!

This hotel is 1.5 miles from downtown Asheville but a little hard to find. Room was fairly clean though strong smell of detergent in room did not make it feel like a true ""non smoking"". Plumbing (toilet) seems old, needs maintenance/improvement, hotel is stingy with toiletries (two tiny soaps).

The Country Inn and Suites by Carlton on Tunnel Road in Asheville was very comfortable and clean. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff that we encountered were all very pleasant. The indoor pool is small, but when my family went to the pool, it was not crowded and my children enjoyed their swim.The complimentary breakfast buffett was above average and the attendant keep every item well stocked, even as the time deadline for the day was approaching. My children enjoyed the fresh baked complimentary cookies that were kept in the lobby and my husband and I enjoyed the 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Our only concern was a group of homeless men that hung out at the end of the parking lot. As we drove in the parking lot for the first time to check in, we notice three men next to the parking lot sitting under a tree drinking alcohol. My husband alerted the desk clerk, who had already called the police. The next day,we arrived back at the hotel after a day of sightseeing and there was a man passed out at the edge of the parking lot and it was difficult to see if he was actually alive or not. Again, the desk clerk said she had already called the police and they had asked the man to move on and he had only moved from one side of the parking lot to the other. She called the police again and ,finally, they came and escorted three men off the property. The hotel staff was great in dealing with this, but I'm not sure if this is a continuing problem or if these guys just happened upon this parking lot the weekend we were there.

Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, continental breakfast, hot tub, very quiet and clean. This was a clean, quiet, comfortable hotel. The continental breakfast was quite adequate. The hot tub was a nice toasty temperature. Parking was easy & it was in an accessible location with restaurants close by. The beds & pillows were great!
