Overall good accommodations / would stay again

Friendly staff, book lending, free papers. I asked them to bring a baby bed and they left a playpen folded up outside the door.

Carpet, hardwood, baseboards as filthy and worn as any I've seen in 30+ years of travel. Lobby, halls, elevator were the worse. Front doors were dirty and paint was in bad shape. Extensive damage outside that had gone without repair for a long time. Elevator was in poor mechanical condition. The owner/manager was very rude and looked at everyone with distrust. First room was totally unusable, the carpet could not have been worse. Staff moved me to one where at least I could survive, but the odor was terrible. Most window coverings were either dirty or had been wet and were very wrinkled and cheap. Stayed there because the desk staff was very helpful, moved me to a better room, and because the setting was attractive (lake in back) and the location was ideal. Price was reasonable for size suite, but all the above would have made this compare to an old, cheap Motel 6.

The staff at Country Inn were very nice-however, the property was very run down and it smelled really bad. I will stay in another location the next time I stay in Jackson, MS.

It was conveniently located. The shower curtain needs magnets so it doesn't stick to you during your shower.

I booked this hotel because it had listed a "heated indoor pool" as one of its amenities. The pool is not heated, it was freezing. Hot tub is still broken too. Also the floor in the room was damp and the pipes in the bathroom made really loud sounds when used.

The hotel is located in a great area. There is no need to go into metro Jackson for anything except to shop. There are great restaurants and a movie theater very close to the hotel. The hotel itself was great. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that the pool area was under construction though.

Very clean, friendly staff. Air would not stay on. Had to get up several times to turn back on.

I will just say this....what a flop house!!! The hot tub is broken and has been for over a year...we founf this out after booking just for the hot tub use...Fresh baked cookies....maybe at the cookie factory...for those 1.99 a pack. choco chip cookies.....breakfast was worse then Ive ever had a hotel....The staff was anything but friendly...nothing was fixed or refunded!!!!!

They are apparently renovating the hotel. Should improve. Terrible breakfast. Service was not great. This hotel is in the middle of a renovation. Pool was empty and apparently they are redoing the rooms. Not very impressive.

I found ants in the bathroom, crickets in the bedroom (could not see them, but heard them), and in the morning I found a rouch in the bath tub. The room had a foul odor, and the indoor pool was too cold to use.

Clean. Very cheaply built. You could hear people walking in hall. Nice and clean hotel. Cheaply built as you could hear people walking down the hall. The staff was friendly but did not know much about the area. When we asked for a place nearby to eat which was kid-friendly, the desk person recommended an area up the freeway, but there was nothing there. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing great.

I love this hotel. For my husband and I it's our home away from home. We stay every May. The employees are friendly and it's close to several restaurants, and a movie theatre. It's also close to Jackson,MS and all it's entertainment.
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
Easy access to highway, Downtown Jackson. Had local nearby restaurants and was convenient. Did not have wireless internet and only realized there was a plug for the internet line when I was packing to leave. Renovations were in progress, but room was tidy, smelled and looked clean and was wonderfully quiet. Even though next to Highway.

Nothing. The staff personal was unprofessional and rude. The experience was so bad, that my family stayed at the Marriott residence inn (losing the money that we paid for this hotel)!
Date of Stay:

Very accommodating for our needs. Under construction, lot of broken things like fixtures. For a one night stay it was okay but the construction left allot to be desired and the hotel had a distinct odor that was not welcoming. The pluses were that the rooms were quiet inside without hearing allot a door slamming or the people next door, etc.

Outdoor parking lot lighting was great. Swimming pool unairconditioned; room construction nearby.

My room was upgraded to a suite, because I forgot to request a double. The Hotel was in a convenient location; the staff was friendly the room was clean and comfortable.
