The front desk staff was super nice. They even offered to move our room so that we could stay next to other family staying in the hotel. The pool was the safest,cleanest,and well maintained as anyone we've seen.

...After reflecting on the showing-their-age mattresses we slept on, the 2 jets working (out of 8) in the whirlpool/hot tub we used, the lack of Internet access, the front desk employee's inability to diagnose and/or remedy it, and the many, many strands of long black hairs that we found in the bathroom...no, not a bargain, a good buy, or anything resembling one.

I called just to confirm I would be arriving late; the staff person was extremely nice and helpful on the phone. He gave me perfect directions. It was a very busy weekend with a local college graduation. When we checked in; they were very friendly and helpful. There was one gentleman ahead of us; he made reservations at the last minute, and all that was left was a smoking room. The staff was doing everything they could to clean/de-smoke the room for him. When it was our turn; we actually had a couple of choices. They explained each room. This one is closer to the pool, this one is more quiet... The stay was pleasant, and we enjoyed the town of Galesburg. The hotel is right off the highway and near a shopping mall, Target and several restaurants. We had a nice dinner at a local restaurant (there were several to choose from). The continental breakfast was pretty good; scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereals, sweet rolls, waffles, juices, and coffee & tea. I plan to stay there again.

this was my 2nd visit last was 6/06 and staying again 5/07 ifound the whole staff very nice would recommend good location

Clean and friendly. Hot tube did not work. I always stay at that hotel whenever I am in the area.

Smoking in nonsmoking rooms and staff did not address it. Staff not helpful. I would allow smoking in nonsmoking areas.

"They had no extra pillows, and bedding was ratty and pillows had lumps. We got a handicapped room so we didn't even have a bathroom counter. When I complained, the not so nice manager showed me that the word Accessible appeared in the tiniest script on my reservation, so that I already knew. I don't know hotel short hand. I would never go back, and I have had very positive experiences at other Country Inns."
