While traveling alone I felt very safe and comfortable. I had a beautiful, spacious,Queensize suite. I would defintely, stay here again and recommend this hotel completely.

Nice property. Staff was friendly and location is convenient. A little pricey for the area and lack of ameneties. Nice basic property. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Nothing really good or bad about this place.

I travel 15 to 20 days out of the month for business, this hotel is not one I want to return to any time soon. Breakfast was out of several items both mornings I was there. They were even out of regular coffee and replaced it with decaf. ( I heard staff talking about it) Amazing! The suites have a very poor heating system, the heater is in the bedroom and the living room remains very cold unless you turn the heater on high and then the bedroom is way too hot. The staff was ok, not great. The Hotel Manager was quite full of himself buf offered no real assistance to the lack of breakfast items or cared much about the heat issues, the weather was under 10 degrees.

The staff was friendly and courteous but slow getting to the front desk. The room was clean and well maintained. I arrived on a very could night and the room did not warm up until 5 a.m. The location could not have been better it was across the street from the university.

We loved the size and comfort of the room. The location for us was great.

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and it was perfect, great, and down right AWESOME. Not sure what happened, my guess a management change!? The staff is very short, not happy and just bothered by any guest request made. The property is lovely from the outside, but the rooms are dingy and untiddy. Even the wreath over the fireplace was replaced with a crappy sign that looks BAD. This proeprty is not the best in town any more.

the country inn and suites cortland,ny is wonderful this time of year....the leaves are changing and the views of surrounding mountains are beautiful....theres apple and pumpkin picking close by......most of all it is convenient to the sports complex at suny cortland... you literally can walk as long as you dont have to carry all the tailgate party supplies with you....we love staying there when we go to watch our daughters field hockey games...its always a pleasure

The hotel was new and very clean. It had small touches like cookies and fruit was available all the time. The staff was helpful.

A clean hotel room is a very hard thing to find and at least this hotel had that. Otherwise there would be no reason to stay here. The staff is not helpful with directions and they are not happy to see you walk in or down the stairs. It was very clear after 5pm they do what they like and you are a bother if you need something. Really in need of customer service lessons, and what happened to a full uniform??"

The Country Inn & Suites had very helpful staff, comfortable rooms, a good breakfast, a nice pool and cordio exercise area. Everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and convenient. And cookies, too!

Clean quiet rooms with nice layout. Smoking by doorways. Would definitely stay again. Nice rooms, excellent complimentary breakfast. Very clean. Pillows need help though.

Rooms are clean...but cold. Upstate NY winter is not bad so far this year, but the room is freezing and heater is loud.Large banner hanging outside promoting a hot breakfast...the breakfast was out of many items and the front desk was running back and forth trying to keep it full.Asked about booking the meeting room and was told no one to help me right now, asked to leave my name and was told to call after 3pm on the next day. No service, front desk clerk was short, called the next day and was sent to voicemail, no person to help."

Excellent continental breakfast! Jacuzzi was very chlorinated. We had a very pleasurable stay. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite and were able to have a late check out while our daughters attended a softball clinic at Cortland Univ. across the street.

I have been coming to Cortland for many years and have stayed in all of the hotels offered in the area. This one is by far the BEST! The friendly smiles, the convenient location across the street from SUNY Corltand, clean rooms, and they even offer a HOT breakfast buffet for FREE! I will never stay anywhere else. They make me feel right at HOME.

"I stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and loved every minute of the stay. Check in to check out was awesome. This year Not so. I found overworked and fustrated employees, rooms were ok, but not perfect, as they were in the past.Of all three rooms none were perfect. Coffee pot with someone elses coffee still in it. Hair on bathroom floor and in shower,Breafast was out of several items, or cut way back. The pool bathroom was filthy. The grounds were the only part of the hotel still in like new condition. Going and gone downhill!"

Very welcoming and cozy; wonderful breakfast choices. No bar fridge in the room. A pleasant stay - the front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming - the room was cozy, the pool wet, and the breakfast had a nice selection, a step above from the normal 'continental breakfasts' normally provided. The only downfall would be that it wasn't located right off the main highway.

"My daughter goes to SUNY Cortland and we have stayed for the past 3 years with this property. The turn over is very noticable lately, we stay 5 to 8 times a year and have always stayed with this hotel. We just stayed for parents weekend and what a weekend. The front desk is missing thier smiles and the breakfast attendent was far from happy. This hotel is in need of a major staff overhaul. We will try the Hampton and drive the extra 5 minutes next time. You might want to do the same!"

Clean and new. For convenience toSuny Cortland, and friendliness and patience of staff, not to mention cleanliness of property and excellent continental breakfast(that includes make your own fresh belgian waffles), I would recommend the County Inn and Suites to any traveler, business or pleasure. Enjoy the pool and hot tub.
