What are your breakfast options?: We offer a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning from 6:00 am - 9:30 am Monday - Friday and 7:00 am - 10:30 am Saturday - Sunday. We have make your own waffles, fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, bagels, danishes, yogurt, and everyday we have a different hot item offered such as scrambled eggs, chicken patties with biscuits and gravy, French toast with bacon, and sunny side up eggs with hash browns or fried potatoes. If you choose not to eat at the hotel there is a Cracker Barrel next door, and a Denny's about 3 blocks away.
What transport is available to get around?: If you are looking to get around here in Effingham, we have 2 taxi services in town. If you need to be transported from a major airport, the best way is to rent a car. We are 100 miles from a major airport. The train station is close, and you may call Effingham taxi when you get into town.
What can I do nearby?: In the summer there are plenty of golf courses, parks, and the lake. If you are looking for live entertainment, we have a performing arts center that offers concerts, plays, and comedians. There is a corvette museum, and the big cross, and some local wineries if you want to go sightseeing. The convention center has things going on there too, depending when you are coming. For example, the have a home-builders show, ladies night out, bridal show, caged MMA fighting, arts and craft show, quilt show, and other entertainment.
