Very nice hotel, good sized rooms that don't make you feel crowded. Hotel is very close to old town Sonora.

Close to Black Oak casino, clean. No amenities, conditioner, shampoo, bad coffee. It fits our needs for the night, comfortable bed and clean.
Date of Stay:

After checking in I connected to hotel web-link. The hotels home page showed up showing the same room we hads rate for the same date was 20.00 less per night than what I paid. When I questioned desk manager I was told Orbitz, etc. price would always be higher than booking direct with the hotel.

Loved the free-internet. Have stayed at other Country Inns, this one was just plain/ordinary. I would likely recommend this hotel, it was clean but could use some upgrades. Pool area had limited tables to sit around (2 only) one of which was broken leaving one umbrella andtable for 90-100 degree heat, secondly, lounge chairs missing many straps.

We were visiting Norhtern CA for one night because we were going to a wedding and we just needed a place to sleep. The hotel was okay, but the manager, who works there 24/7 was of the most unnaceptable behavior. She was unecessarily rude and treated us all terribly. She threatened to charge us extra for having friends visit us in our room and went on to say it is not even in our contract, but would charge us. I would never stay in this hotel again if this manager is the only one who works there. She admitted to treating all her guests like she did us, and doesn't care if she treats them all like liars. If you would like good customer service and a friendly stay, do no stay here.

The swimming pool was very clean and attractive. Mold on inside of shower curtain, dust on phone the table between beds top of headboard and other areas. This was the second stay, the first room had some areas that were not as clean like legs of chairs but no mold and far more dust this time. I remember last time the second day the maid had not left more creamer and sugar for the coffee, mistakes happen but same thing this time so it will be our last stay there.

This was a great spot for road weary travelers, especially enroute to Yosemite, Sierra, etc. We arrived well after dark and the management was very hospitable and accomodating to us/motorcyclists. We are offered a slightly later check out time because of late arrival. The free breakfast was cereal or danishes, and juice, milk, or coffee. The bed was great and the room very comfortable. Our only complaint: Other guests pounding on doors and being noisy @ 3:30 - 6 AM to go fishing & boating.

The room was very clean and had a coffee maker in it. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were like bricks and there wasn't any complimentary shampoo or lotion. I was very pleased with the helpfulness of the staff. The continental breakfast wasn't worth noticing.

This place was good for the price, and jamesville is a great little town, but the breakfast was extremely basic and not particularly nice. It was great having free internet though, and the pool was clean. As for breakfast - I'm fine with toast and cereal, but I couldn't find any bread, there weren't tables to eat at, and the cereal was labelled cheerios but was some generic sugared up instant-diabetes substitute that I didn't appreciate. But generally our stay was ok.

Only 60 miles from Yosemite - real value. Meager offering for continental breakfast. This hotel is conveniently located within 60 miles of Yosemite Parks entrance - I was very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. The only improvement could be to the meager selection for their continental breakfast but they had free internet access and a computer to use.

The manager didn't open lobby for breadfast at at the posted time and instead of apologizing stated sharply that she opens a little later. The phone was broken so wake-up call didn't happen. No microwave.

Good location in CA gold country. Worst continental breakfast everyday. The least expensive motel in the area and it showed. Just a couple of improvements and their rating would shoot up. After firefighters stay in the rooms, shampoo the rugs. The entire breakfast selection was: 1) Fruit Loops, 2) Honey Nut Cheerios, 3) a selection of Costco-like swirl fruit pastry, 4) milk, 5) cranberry juice, 6) coffee. Why not add Costco-like muffins & bagels? Maybe a big jug of Orange juice to go with the cranberry juice.

We were exhausted after a long day at Yosemite, and this place was a pleasant surprise. It's right off the highway, so very convenient, and the staff was very friendly and directed us to where we could find food late at night.

The pool was clean and very enjoyable. My room need a new toilet seat. The bed andpilows need to be replaced. The features of this Inn should be pushed by the staff. The staff didn't offer any info except where the room was located. The lobby didn't smell fresh.

This is hard to find, with it's off street office and small sign, but it was a great place to spend the night. The room was large, comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. What more could you ask? A small spill on the carpet was all we could see that would keep in from being perfect.

Nice, quiet place that was a good value. Pool was not heated, no shampoo, lobby not very inviting. Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay for the money. The pool was not heated and the lobby could be cleaned up and lighted to make it more inviting. Bring your own toiletries except shampoo.
Date of Stay:

It didn't supply shampoo though. My room had a refrigerator and microwave which was a nice touch.

I liked it's location and how it was on a hill making the third storey rooms at street level. The electric and heat went off and when we said we couldn't stay they said fine but we are still charging you. Location and rooms were fine but the staff was rude and not co-operative. There was a huge power blackout about dusk and we returned to our room shortly there after. It was pitch black inside with no heat. Since we only live 50 miles away we decided it would be better to drive home even though it was pouring rain then to sit in a dark cold room.

The Country Inn Sonora was an okay place to stay for a good price. The staff was very nice and accomodating. They offer a continental breakfast with a few choices. The room had a table and chairs, and the vanity was separate from the bathroom. The carpet looked fairly old, but the beds and bathroom were clean. The money we saved on the hotel we were able to spend the following day exploring the nearby Gold Country.

This motel was hard to find in the dark, but the helpful desk clerk directed me over the phone. Excellent bed led to a good night's sleep, but continental breakfast about as poor as possible (limited options, exhausted items, had to eat back in room). Price was raised 20% as it filled up, rather than a set price for the season. Inexpensive hotel for area with microwave and small refrigerator in room. Old fashioned air conditioning unit in room which worked well but was noisy all night. Television didn't work well.
