The Country Hearth Inn, was ok. I was not the best. The room and the hall had a bad odor. The room was very cramped and my husband and myself did not like the the cont. breakfast that was offered, very chessy. We did not feel comfort at all. The location was ok.

The owners are some of the nicest people I have met. They need to warm up the pool - it was too cold to use. Excellent hospitality, and the owners were extremely helpful. They make waffles for breakfast fresh for everyone, and we sat and talked with them over coffee for 20 minutes. I will certainly stay at this hotel again. Also, the rooms were very large for the money, and conveniently located to the local attractions.

Our family stayed at this hotel because of previous reviews, although they were a year+ ago. Upon arriving at the hotel it was a bit frightening. Looked quite run down from the outside. It was, however, clean and appeared to be freshly painted inside. Some disappointments included our non-smoking rooms smelling like smoke and room deodorizer. Secondly, when I called to make a reservation and asked if they accepted pets, they simply said yes and that there was a charge per dog per night. Acceptable. However once we arrived they make certain at that point to tell you that you cannot leave your dogs unattended or there will be a charge. Something that should have been mentioned. Wondering how many people go the Lake of the Ozarks for shopping, dining, and fun and take their dogs on all those activies WITH them. The individual on the phone when I made the reservation seemed pleasant however, everyone else we encountered there was less so. The lady I believe to be the owner of the hotel tried to be nice but it clearly just wasn't her nature. The swimming pool appeared to be a slightly oversized hot tub in the middle of the hotel next to the lobby. We didn't use it. Other hotels in the area may cost more but it may be worth considering! Otherwise, you'll get a clean room here (may or may not smell of smoke) but don't expect too much more!

Great location for shopping at Osage. This hotel was conveniently located and the staff was very accommodating. The clerk even took the time to make all the waffles for the guests at the continental breakfast.

Popped in on late Sunday night evening on Labor Day weekend and was greeted pleasantly and price was reasonable. Room was very clean... no complaints at all but would have preferred a larger television... plenty of towels...overall I would stay there again!!

Nice clean hotel. Hard to find -sets back off the road. This hotel was a plain, no-frills hotel, but it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, but not exceptional.

You can't hardly beat this one for a * stay. Very clean, pleasant people, nice pool, good location.

It was clean. It was very modest, no elevator to second floor. I would not stay there again. It was very, very basic. No luxury at all.

The Country Hearth Inn in Lake Ozark, MO is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this motel when you are in the Lake of the Ozarks area.

Convenient location, large clean rooms, friendly staff, good family environment. Maybe a bit noisy. Rooms could be better insulated from outside noises. Not enough to be a distraction though. Convenient to all areas in and around lake of the Ozarks. Clean and neat as a pin. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a good value for the money.

Overall, I was very pleased with this hotel. In fact, should I venture there again anytime soon, I will most likely use this hotel again, and recommend it.

Convenient to lake activities. Pet-friendly atmosphere meant some barking dogs. If you need a place to sleep while indulging in lake activities rather than staying in a condo on the water, this is a good place to stay. Not far from many lake activities, and close to the lake's large shopping mall. Very small indoor pool, good continental breakfast. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, however, this is not the place.
