The spas are shut down and the private patios are locked. Nothing was said to us before checking in. We booked this resort because of the private spa and patio. We stayed approximately 2 hours and left. Management is non exisistant and the front desk staff is rude. We asked that management get in touch with us, numerous calls and we are still waiting for contact. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

I enjoyed my stay very much. Loved the location easy to take the bus to Fashion Square, only 5 minutes. Would have been nice to have a coffee shop or a restaurant at the hotel that was open for dinner.

Private jacuzzi; great grounds. Nasty tennis courts. Great customer service; seemed like an older resort a slight bit long in the tooth.

The resort is a little older but nice. We had a private spa on our room. The back patio and spa was full of leaves but it had rained the night before and they did provide a skimmer to clean the spa out. The rooms and furniture were a little old and outdated but they were clean and well kept. It was quiet and close to alot of restaurants and activities. Dolce was very close by also. Its nice if you are just going to relax as a couple. For the price it was a nice stay.

Beautiful park like setting. Nothing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms nicely furnished and comfortable. Rooms were in small clusters surrounded by open green space and large trees. Very nice setting, relaxing and romantic.

This was a true gem, and was exactly as described. 170 casita's, plus a house (rentable) on 25 gorgeous acreas in the middle of everthing (shopping, spa, etc). The place was spotless. We had a private patio (private!!) with our own hot tub which was just fantastic. We were right near the pool. Lots of walking trails, bunnies ("cottonwoods"), and floral / southwestern decore. I would go back again.

Beautiful grounds, privacy, large rooms and great staff. Large room with fabulous beam ceilings, comfortable beds, separate dressing area with mini fridge and coffee maker, nice bathroom. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. Located within half a block of Trader Joe's, and with many fine restaurants immediately adjacent to the hotel.

Beautiful and peaceful. The maid service was crazy fast. The beds were so comfortable. So relaxing, can't wait to go back. Take an extra day to spend by the beautiful pool.

The Cottonwoods is a sprawling 25 acre property that gives a soothing, quiet, and peaceful experience. Although right off Scottsdale road, the hotel seemed quite remote from the hustle and bustle of Scottsdale. I especially enjoyed the in ground private hot tub on the patio. The suite I stayed in was of reasonable size, clean and comfortable. It should be noted that the restaurant was only open for breakfast and that there is no fitness center on site. The only major complaint I had with the Cottonwoods is the check in. I was very satisfied with the Cottonwoods Resort.

Individual units with small patios outside. Great view. A bit older. Small bathroom. Slightly older place, but well kept up. Individual units with small patios were very nice for sitting outside on warm Arizona mornings and evenings! Our unit was on the far west side and had a great view of Camel back Mountain. There is a running/walking path, a little less than a mile long, that goes around the resort. We used that a lot. The unit was quiet and comfortable. Comfy bed. A little tough to find your unit initially, but once you do, no problem after that.

The location was great too. On the border of Scottsdale and mansion filled Town of Paradise Valley. Right next door to the high-end shopping at the Borgata. Also next to Trader Joe's and AJ's Fine Foods, also a high-end grocery store. The room was a casita near the pool. Living room area, kitchenette area with sink and fridge (no microwave), then bedroom area with comfortable King bed. Also had private back patio with personal hot tub. Unfortunately the water was not warm enough to get into. The grounds were very nice too, with casita's spread out over some 20+ acres and nice views of Camelback Mountain. 2.5 miles to Hwy 101, 2 miles south to Scottsdale Fashion Square and Old Town Scottsdale, full of shopping and places to eat. For the price, got a nice clean room, in real nice part of town, convenient to lots of things.

Secluded casita rooms. Bathrooms, beds needs updating. Instead of purchasing new beds, a feather quilt was put under the sheets for a feather top effect. It felt like sleeping on a plastic bag. Lots of unnecessary charges - $20 for early check-in, $75 non refundable deposit for pets, $100 deposit for incidentals, $4 bottled water in room. Black mold around the tub, interior door chipped and ugly. Beautiful pool, nice grounds although a bit sterile, good maid service.

It?s an excellent option to be in Scottsdale, close to the Mall, easy to drive to reache the runaways to go out the city. In the neighborhood good places to dinner and others ones to have a delicious breakfast. Room confortable, bathroom clean and enough and the little kitchen with refri acceptable.
