Room and food reviewThe room was confortable but only a tiny window so it was very airless and not pleasant at all from that point of view.Restaurant 66A was excellent. Good food, well served, charming waiters. The room was booked from Israel but I am not from Israel and your system doesn't allow me to change the location display. I'm from Sheffield, UK.

Come here for the foodWhile the hotel was satisfactory (except for one very surly receptionist who was abrupt and not accommodating at all--we wondered why on earth she would be hired by the hotel to work at the front desk), what was really impressive was the quality, value for money and friendliness of the staff at the restaurant in the hotel called 66. For £99/night for a double bedroom including breakfast and a wonderful 3-course dinner, I MIGHT actually consider staying here again.

Excellent value for priceFriendly and helpful staff, walking distance to city centre, nice room, could hear people next room, but tolerable, will stay there again when in town.

A one night short weekend breakWithin a comfortable walking distance of Oxford City Centre, and with ample car parking spaces the Hotel was excellent in all and every aspect other than a minor irritation of our room having a toilet flush that neither my wife nor I could master. Other than that everything about the hotel was 4 star and I have no hesitation in strongly recommending the hotel to all.

Slightly overpriced room but very good location, friendly staff, good food and parking facilities.

Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. I found my first room to be quite noisy (room upstairs had very noisy couple), but the staff found a new room for me that was very quiet. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was a little slow.

Value for money scores low as I booked it for valentines day so the prices were inflated (£180 for one night, I would expect to pay closer to £80 for the room I got) but thats what you get on Valentines! I would not consider this a 4* hotel but it is nice and I had an enjoyable experience.

Lovely old hotel, location was good just a few minutes walk to shops. the hotel staff were very polite and helpful, we had an evening meal and breakfast all inclusive of the price which was really lovely, the waiting staff were very proffesional, we stayed in the Pembroke room which was a lovely large room the only down side to the hotel is that it needs upgrading, the wall paper covered the ceiling which was very odd! needs just a little money spent on the inside.

Great hotel with charming, traditional decor. Very comfortable bed, clean room and polite staff. Room had tea making facilities and biscuits, plus toiletries. Cosy bar with open fire. Plenty of car parking. Good location for Oxford town centre - 10 min walk. We did hear the people above us walking around and talking, so could be annoying if you are below someone rather noisy!

An excellent hotel. The sort of hotel where I would be happy to stay either on business or leisure.

Very nice hotel and convenient for central Oxford. However, one should be aware that there is little insulation between the rooms and you can hear neighbours on either side and above - so if you want a quiet night then this might not be the best place for you. In every other respect it is a very well run hotel with excellent service.

Excellent value for money (£50 double). Great location within 10 minutes walk of city center with good restaurants/bars along the walk.Would be my first choice if I stay in Oxford again.

I thought the reception staff were a little abrupt perhaps because they were working over Christmas. The food was excellent and overall good value for moneyThe location was ideal for a stroll into Oxford (no more than 10 minutes)

Great stay apart from noise of floorboards of room above us. Go for top floor or courtyard. Perfect location in Oxford with free parking.

A lovely Hotel with a very cosy sitting room without a TV (there is one in the bar) which was wonderful to read and relax in front of the fire while planning our next days excursions. Hotel was about 10-15min walk from the town centre and is also on a bus route. Rooms were as expected with desk and shower over bath. Good value for money, would recommend.

Nice comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff. English country style - don't expect widescreen TV and designer bathroom. Didn't dine, but you get a hearty breakfast !
