First of all you get what you pay for. The beach was very nice and the people that wanted you to buy something were everywhere, but all I said is no thank you and they walked away. I went with my gf for 6 days 5 nights. This was the first time for both of us in the DR. The room was ok. Nothing special. The bath tub backed up real bad. But the smell of sewer that came out of the drains ws unbearable. We stayed on the 3rd floor right above the disco. Never got a nice sleep even though I hammered the rum!! ha ha There were some nice employees that went out of their way for you. Hector great bartender and Ceaser with his heavy duty drinks!! Food was ok..something different every day. I will never go back to that resort , but it is ashame because the people were great. I read some reviews about being snubbed. NEVER!! I speak no spanish and I was understood by almost everybody. I checked in and out within 15 minutes total. I will miss the special workers but not the resort. But like I said you get what you pay for. Ritz it is not. Very average!!

Overall the place look good. When you get in the rooms, it's a different story. No hot water, the towels look like they have been in used since the 18th century. you literally have to bug Guest Service to get soap, lotion, coffee and most of the amenities that suppose to be standard with hotel services. The food is OK. They try very hard to keep the guests entertained. I wanted to return home the second day I got there. It was 5:00 p.m. when I decided to make my own bed, apparently , housekeeping forgot. I would never use this hotel for vacation again.

the hotel is in bad condition and fill with locals at a discount price. we ended on a place were nobody respects other people rights and no lines or any thing was respected and their staff did nothing to have some order in food lines or any thing else.

After having to barge the door to get into our room we found it to have been slept in by probably the person painting the balcony. Once we changed rooms and went to shower, the bathtub spout fell off. The final straw was as I was getting my back massage I opened my eyes only to see the masseuse wearing my flip flops.

Check in was a mess, I felt like if I was at a public market where I had to yell and push to get attention. I understand that I came on a Saturday and it was filled with locals who come for a one-night weekend, but it was crazy. The food was not good and there was no service (waiters) in the buffet restaurant, I mean the place was full and only a few waiters who looked the other way when you called them or took your order and never came back. I had to get my own drinks (water, juice and coffee), no napkins on the table, we were a family of 6 and had to share one cloth napkin on one occassion. We had two rooms, the rooms were nice and spacious with two queen size beds in each room, but there were no toiletries in the bathroom. I had to give a tip to the cleaning lady to get some, and next time i asked she said they were out. In one of the rooms the A/C was excellent, but in my room, the A/C never worked and they came many times and always said they "fixed it" but it never worked, we kept calling but I decided to leave it alone since I didn't feel like wasting my time in the room waiting for a repair man or being changed, I don't need an ice cold room to sleep but sometimes it was very uncomfortable, especially after my husband and I made love :) They advertise a la carte resturants, on Saturday night we went to the mexican a la carte and waited to be seated for more than 15 minutes, but there was no one to seat us!!! we kept asking the waiters if we can seat ourselves (there were plenty of tables empty) but they kept saying we had to wait. Finally we decided to leave and go to the buffet and try again tomorrow. Yeah right, Sunday night we went back to the Mexican restaurant to try our luck again but it was closed!!! so was the Italian A la Carte restaurant so again back to the awful buffet to eat the same food, we ended up eating mostly grilled fish and hamburguers from the 24/7 grill by the beach, which was really good, the french fries were excellent and always fre

We stayed one night in this resort and its really bad comparing to resorts in Punta cana. They had really bad policy and not much of varieties. Its not recommended.

The priority of this hotel is not foreign travelers. Many spend most of the first and second day changing rooms as they are severely outdated, and rundown. Non stop vendor harrassment on the beach and an indifferent staff. The only thing going for it is the beach if you can get past the vendors.

I was treated like a king since the minutes I arrived to this beautiful resort. The food was great, I really enjoyed my time in the casino, the pool and every bit of activities they offer. I would recommend it anytime... By the way, I've already booked the first week of June. I can't wait !

The room I got was very dirty..dead misquitos all over the bathroom counter. No shampoo in the containers, not water the first night. The food is below average for my experience. Then one of the nights the air conditioner went out at 1 a.m. and no one could fix and they did not have an available room. Then my toilet would not flush...and while there was the bracket for a blow dryer, not blow dryer. An ironing board but no iron. Pretty much very sloppy maintenance. But... After all of that a very excellent front desk clerk got me into a nice ocean view room..and upgrade...and made sure my last night of four nights there was nice.

"This hotel was the worst and made my trip experience horrible. I couldnt wait to leave the island because of the resort. They are no longer with the hilton but didnt update their advertisement. There were roaches in the room, the bed was hard, and the food was the worst. I will never visit the Dominican Republic again because of this experience."

The Coral Costa Caribe was the worst hotel I even stayed in. The check in took five rooms before I was given a nice room, however the second lock on the door was missing. There was no hot water for two days. The food in the buffet was horrible, fies all over the food, bread and cakes. The person at the juice bar was very unfriendly and would not make what you wanted. The pasta resturant was nice, the mexican was going well until my husband found a piece of plastic in his meat. The part of the pool we could use was unsueable due to all the games being played by the hotel we were not able to even use it . The beach however was the only nice thing there. Very clean and the beach chair were also new and clean.

"Hotel seemed nice when I arrived at the front entrance and into the lobby. I checked in and was given my ""OCEAN VIEW"" room. The room had only 1 window with a view of the front of the hotel & parking lot. I immediately requested a change, and got a room with an actual ocean view. The 2nd day, there was no water in the bathroom & I had to wait for a plumber to come the next morning to fix it. It happened again 2 days later. The food in the main restaurant was either tasteless or too salty."

"3rd time there, going downhill fast! If you don't speak spanish expect minimal service. Save a day for checking in and out-extremely disorganized. Food is not bad but your not going to crave it. On the plus side-beautiful beach and water! Specify the room you want because there are not many that look like the one on the web site!"

If you are not Spanish speaking you will be treated rudely and ignored for the natives.
