well located and friendly staff

The experience was great. Corrib Village is right next to the University and it has a complementary shuttle that runs into Downtown Galway several times each day. The rooms are about what you might expect for student housing, but they are clean and the staff brings new linens and towels every day. They were also very friendly and tolerant of stupid foreigner questions. Great value!

Overall good value with college dormitory style room. However, the toilet/shower area was musky and does not seem to have been cleaned on a daily basis. The same could be said for the corridor leading to the various rooms.

A reminder of student day'sGalway is a fabulous city and the surrounding area is out of this world. Corrib Village offers good value for money. I went back two days later.

It was a dormitory room, which was good sized, but about a 20 to 25 minute walk from city centre, shuttle only ran from noon to 7pm. Walking was not recommended at night. There was a public bus, but not sure how late it ran. It was hard to do any evening activities. breakfast was ok, but they promised scones and never had them, fruit was tinned. it was cheap, but not convenient. There was no where to get food in the late evening, everything closed at about 9.

Basic but clean We picked Corrib Village for the fact that it was so cheap as we were just going to Glaway for a night out. The room was very small and very basic, but thats what we expected at that price so it was fine for a place to put our heads down for the night, and it was very clean . I would have no problem in recommending it, esp if you are staying a few days as the surroundings were lovely, staff nice, ample car parking, and the courtasy bus in and out of town is very handy. Only problem is that the website claims that its a 10 min walk into town, when in fact its approx a 45 min walk (and im a fast walker!) so we had to get a taxi in and out that night. Also our room light didnt work and we were told it would be fixed but no-one appeared to fix it. All in all i would stay again, its cheap and you get what you pay for! Cleanliness is very important and it was definalty that!

Corrib Village is a home away from home. After traveling for 2 days on multiple flights to get here, we were greeted by the nicest staff you could imagine. They are all so efficient, and as friendly as can be--truly dedicated to making our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was clean, comfortable, and just a stone's throw away from the restaurant, which served up a palate satisfying breakfast with a choice of four types of cereal, 3 types of fruit, 3 types of bread for toasting, and 2 types of juices, along with steaming hot coffee. The beds were comfortable, the showers nice and hot, and there was room enough to spread out, along with good lighting to read travel brochures by. It was easy to book activities, like tours and shows through the front desk. All in all, Corrib Village was a place I hated to leave, so at home did they make us feel.

Excellent, basic accommodation on the edge of Galway CityCorrib Village offers very good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the city centre's higher prices. The rooms are student accommodation during term time, and therefore fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. Located about 30 minutes walk from Eyre Square.

Corrib Village was a 10 to 15 minute walk from town and also easy to get to by bus. The room was adequate and since it is part of a dorm, you could also use the kitchen amenities and tv room. I recommend this place to people that will be spending most of their time exploring and not their room.

This is a student residence not a b&b or a hotel. Think of student single room with book shelves and study desk. Thats it. Cheap as chips...

Very informal, good value for money. Bit smelly and ran out of food choices for breakfast. A tv would be good!

Booked double room en-suite for my one-night stay in Galway. Continental breakfast included for 40 Euro. For value can't be beaten - bearing in mind that Galway B&B's were quoting 80 Euro for single occupancy. Hotels were in the 100Euro range. Location is very central, easy to find. Staff are friendly and helpful. Accommodation is basic but adequate. My only problem with this accommodation is the \"musty\" smell in the rooms,

Room was clean, spacious and quiet. 20 mins walk from the town centre. Breakfast was chaotic and minimalist (toast and cornflakes) but at this price I can't complain.

It is a unique place and a good value. You are staying in a dorm room, but it was clean and everything you need was there. It is very convenient and a good stop over if you are traveling around.

Corrib village is more than adequate for a short 'cheap' stay in which to explore Galway. We found the rooms clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were excellent at all times of the day! Well done!

This is STUDENT accomodation during term time, and then rented out as a cheap option during summer months. It is perfectly ok if you're looking for a no frills option for your accomodation.Staff are friendly, breakfast is simple self service, rooms are clean, if you want more get a B&B or a hotel.Only minor gripe is the late check in time of 16.00.

It was basic but it is what you pay for so that was fine. The only thing that was a little annoying is that we didn't have a kettle and couldn't get access to the kitchen, which proved to be a bit annoying but not too bad.

Good value for money.Breakfast need to be better organize no one clearing tables.

Very easy to get to and the shuttle bus provided (Though I didn't use it myself) should make getting in and out during the day very easy. There was some initial trouble getting my key-card to work, when it didn't I had to return to the front desk and the phone in my room didn't seem to work but these were very small gripes when set beside the friendliness of the staff, the proximity to the city and the value for money it offers. It is exacly as advertised and I would certainly stay here again and recommend anyone to do the same.
