I really did not have a pleasant experience. Cleanliness was definitely not rated 1. The sheets were not cleaned properly. I didn't realize it was a converted Super 8 motel. The room was definitely priced very reasonably, but with a price to pay.

Corning Inn is what's left of an old Super-8 motel and it obviously has seen better days. Service was friendly and things were clean. The non-smoking room we received had obviously been smoked in (not necessarily recently, but the smell lingered). The knob on the bedroom sink faucet wasn't attached to the valve stem. The bed was comfortable, the towels were clean, and if that's all you want, it's fine. The room also had wireless internet service, a microwave and a fridge. So there was "good value," balanced against a sense of shabbiness.

The only good compliment I would give this hotel is that it was reasonably priced for my budget. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds, and with the computer desk, dresser, and chairs, the room was very cramped. When I booked the room, I booked a non-smoking, they put us in a smoking and wouldn't change it. The room smelled awful! When we got home on Sunday night, for some reason I decided to check my credit card statement, and found that the Hotel charged my credit card twice. Now I am in a fight with them trying get them to refund my money! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Corning Inn to be in the area to visit family and friends.We had a very good stay, with very helpfull staff and mangement, clean and well kept room at a reasonable price.

They had a continental breakfast. Bad plumbing. Location was fine. We were in the area to visit the Corning Glass Works. Also to visit the Finger Lake region to enjoy the fall colors. The hotel met our needs as a place to stay.

The owner of this motel has zero concern for his customers. The only thing he is interested in is a quick at your expense and absolutely zero customer satisfaction. I made a reservation while on the road for a "Super 8 Motel" as stated in several hotel guides. The hotel charge even came through on my credit card as a "Super 8" When we arrived we found that the hotel had been purchased by an individual and no longer was a chain hotel. I was told by the owner that even if the room as unacceptable I would be charged anyway because there was a race at Watkins Glenn that weekend. I watched in disbelief as he alienated 9 other customers with a variety of customer service issues that could have been easily fixed but his greed was so obvious... DON'T STAY HERE!! I paid 151.20 for an extremely small room. No ironing board, no closet, no iron, no fitted sheet on the matress and dirt on the floor...

There was construction going on so it was loud and hard to get around. The lobby and hallways were dirty and very hot! I would not go back to this hotel. It was hot and dirty. Our room was not ready when we got there and had to wait one hour. The room smelled funny.
