We had a great time at the coral princess. When the air conditioning went out we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. They also provided a bottle of wine in our room for our anniversary. The location is great, less then five minutes to town. Snorkeling is good right off the hotel. Nice pool bar to go with the the nice pool. Can't beat the location for watching the sunset each night.

Friendly, comfortable, convient. Slightly dated; room was small. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with family/friends; particularly if the travel involved scuba diving (wonderful on-site scuba shop). The people were very friendly and honest and mostly spoke English; food was better at the hotel than most cafes we went to. Housekeeping was excellent, views perfect. Kid-friendly.

Most of the staff was friendly.Watch out for the rental car service there,we paid 100.00 a day with insurance. The insurance doesn't cover the tires or the mirrors, also was charged 50.00 for half a tank of gas.We thought the charges were excessive. The food was mediocre. The hotel is not immediately on a sand beach but when you look at the photos it appears that it is.It was a bland experience.

Our second trip to Cozumel for a much needed rest. We geared up for the airport people who try as soon as you clear customs to grab you. Got to the hotel, upgraded to a sea front room for just over 20. more a night. That was GREAT. People are wonderful. Great privacy in the hotel. The heated pool was WONDERFUL for my aching back & my husbands knee. Very restful. Very clean, very comfortable. The only TV channel we looked at was the same CNN show...the hotel staff said "who watches TV here?" The concierge said we could check out late since our flight didn't leave until 3:45 pm but it wasn't communicated with the front desk. They ended up not charging us for the additional two hours. But, it was uncomfortable. Can't stress enough how sweet the people are!! Very reasonable. Beautiful view. QUIET!!! Gorgeous view. Wouldn't have liked the jungle view even with the small fridge. Got the impression that we would have been charged to use the refrigerator. They were selling time shares and so that was not on our agenda. But again, once past that....it was beautiful, restful and we were both sorry to leave. THANK YOU, Coral Princess.

The hotel was only about 10% full, and about six of the nine floors were not even being used - power cut off to save energy I assume. Yet they still would not give me the balcony room I was expecting. There was not even a small refrigerator in the room until after I complained for a couple of days. They had actually sent me up to a pitch black third floor for ice from an unpowered empty ice machine. The outdoor jacuzzi hot tub water was cold, only two jets worked, and had thousands of ants crawing all over the surrounding cement.

Great poolside bar. Drinks are a bit pricey. The staff is very helpful and make it a point to become acquainted with your preferences throughout your stay. They are also eager you help you with your Spanish!

My girlfriend and I came down for a first time visit to Cozumel and a much needed rest. We had the best vacation ever. The hotel is simple but beautiful, clean, and well organized. The staff was just wonderful; take care of them as they will certainly take care of you. Hotel restaurants were excellent. Shopping in Cozumel and Playa del Carmen was great! Chankanaab Park was awesome; a must see. The beaches on the other coast are awesome and the water is an unbelievable spectrum of blues. Rent a car and drive over to the beaches; you won't be sorry. The highlight of the trip was the lobster dinner cruise aboard a Spanish galleon with real pirates. This was a great show and you've got to do this. We're already planning next year's return visit with daughter and her friend.

The Coral Princess is amazing and I will be back. Check in was smooth, nice welcome drink. We had an oceanview room and the view is amazing! Staff very attentive if you want something to eat or drink while lounging on the beach. Snorkeling was great rigt off the hotel. The place was spotless and its the softest bed I've slept on in mexico! Wish I was there for more than one night!

Oceanfront suites excellent, clean. Larger than we usually like. Too many people at pool etc. Attentive service, great location north of town, away from crowds of the south hotel zone but still within walking distance of town. Room quality varies. Oceanfront suite was great.

I rate the Coral Princess a solid 4. Not luxury, but good and comfortable. Good value. Family friendly. I was there with my 15 y.o. son. The staff was excellent and very helpfulRooms are clean and comfy but the "standard" with 2 double beds is a tad small. The pool is not very large. The snorkeling is so-so. The current can be strong depending on conditions. Water comes to the limestone shoreline- there is no "beach" but the "deck" the hotel built is sandy. Pepe Scuba is on site and offers plenty of dive options. They cannot be billed to the room. The restaurant seems average- but we only ate breakfast there and not every day. The wireless service is so-so. Once you connect it is usually OK, but connecting can be frustrating. The location is convenient- very quick access to town (3-5 minute taxi/car ride). Much quicker than the resorts to the south of town.

Loved the room. We upgraded to spacious 1 bedroom when we arrived. Everything was terrific except upon checkout we discovered that we were being charged a lot more for the 2nd mealplan we purchased than we had agreed to. The person who made the deal with me was on vacation and the desk clerk on duty said he couldn't help. I spoke to a completely unyielding manager. I told him my stay was otherwise perfect and he was in danger of losing my repeat business AND future recommendations to friends (I've been to Cozumel about 10 times) becase he wouldn't compromise on his price, which was more than we would have paid a la carte for all food consumed. We finally found someone reasonable and ended up splitting the difference, which I thought was fair, if unpleasant. Hmm. Otherwise, staff, room, everything was as expected and I would return, talking care to get everything in writing.

Hotel Guest Services were wonderful people, very friendly and very helpful. Hotel was extremely clean and the food was actually really good. There was never any concern about our safety in the hotel or in the taxi rides to and from the hotel at all hours. Any time we needed something whether it was more towels, directions, taxis or help calling a local business, they got right on it. Pepe's Scuba is located on the hotel grounds, we used them to do a mini dive outside the hotel. They have two pools that were very clean and well maintained, one that you could swim up to the bar and also order food from. If you want to sun bath, you can do it either on the beach or pool side. They have a hot tub and also offer ocean view massages. The hotel doesn't have a computer to use but does offer free interent access if you bring your own.Part of our group had to leave after the first day because of a death in the family. The hotel employees helped them make flight arrangements and offered to refund their money immediately for their room.Taxi cost from the hotel to down town was 3.We will definately stay here again!!

Hotel and rooms clean, good amenities and well equipped. We had a one room suite with incredible ocean view. The on-site dive shop was helpful with great dive masters. Snorkle or dive right off the peir or boat to great sites. The dining at the hotel is limited but it was good and reasonable. The hotel is a two mile walk to town or $4 taxi with a lot of dining options and shopping. (we did not do a meal plan at the hotel)

We really enjoyed the easy walk down access to nice snorkeling. We even saw an Octopus! View was beautiful from our Ocean view room. Beds VERY comfortable. Rooms a bit musty smelling... but in a wet climate... probably can't be helped.

The Coral Princess was a nice walk from the downtown area. If you are not into a long walk then a short cab ride for about $3.00 to $5.00. The hotel was right on the water. Great place to watch a sunset. This was an older hotel that was very well kept up. The staff was very friendly. The front desk was not the most helpful but other than that everything else was great. We stayed their for the diving of the shore. After reading that this was possible we look forward to a couple of dives there. In reality the reef and wall diving was about 100 yards of the shore. A good kick out to it with a strong current. If you are planning on diving I would suggest other areas that offer more to see. We did a night dive there as well. We stayed near the shoreline to avoid the strong current. We were limited on time otherwise I would plan on doing it somewhere else. We ate dinner there one night. I would suggest a little restaurant to the left of Margaritaville. Very good food and reasonable.

Stayed here on a romantic getaway and it was perfect! SInce it isn't all inclusive we were able to get out and see the island - loved it! The pool was perfect - drinks were well priced and served very well, the rooms have INCREDIBLE views of the ocean and are basic, but clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Coffee is AWESOME....big cups, perfect temperature and strength. Service is great, hotel stafff is sweet and the hotel has good location, about 10 minute drive to downtown.

We went to Cozumel to relax and do a little diving and this hotel was just the ticket. Beautiful ocean-view, good food poolside and restaurant, great service (minus a few communication problems probably to be expected in a foreign country). The room was bright and clean, food good and great away from the bustle location. Cozumel isn't fancy and high dollar but for a serene vacation it was awesom.
