Could nt go because we had a family emergency earlier in the week. I called the hotel to cancel and they told me I had to go through Orbitz to cancel. I did that and Orbitz gave me the message that the hotel would handle it. As I was cancelling the reservation I noticed that Orbitz had a 15 day cancellation policy which I did not notice when I made the reservation. If I would had seen this I would have never gone through Orbitz because every time I've made reservations before with hotels the cancellation policy is 24-48 hours. I have since noticed that my credit card has been charged for the reservation. If this is the policy of Orbitz that is my mistake, but if this is not deleted from my credit card then I will never use Orbitz again nor will I recommend Orbitz to anyone.

We spent 5 days here for spring break with our 11 and 14 year olds. On the positive side, the rooms were clean, fairly new carpeting and paint, great bands played on the deck, nice little bar on-sight, and friendly housekeeping staff. On the negative side, the beds were too small (double) and too firm, the decor is circa 1980, no pots or pans for the stove, receptionista were nice but slow, room wasn't ready until after 3:00, wi-fi is only available on the 6th floor conference area, indoor pools over-the-top chlorine (better than the alternatives I guess), and the restaurant is only open for breakfast. The price was good, the location was good, the beach was good, and we enjoyed ourselves, but you won't leave here questioning if this is one of the nicest hotels you've ever been at. We did stay at the Landmark hotel a couple years ago that is just down the road, and Coral Beach Resort is much nicer, so you can do worse.

Our room in this propery was filthy. The staff was rude, lazy and completely out of touch with their guests' needs. The pools and location were their only high points. Would not recomend this property at all!!

The place was a bit rundown, and seemed as though it had seen better days. Broken light in the living area. Best part was definitely the balcony overlooking the ocean.

We originally started our stay on the 7th floor. Our bathroom flooded from the ceiling while we were in it and we were told the people above us overflowed the tub. It took housekeeping about 45 min to come clean it up. Five hours later the bathroom flooded from the ceiling again. I doubt the upstairs guests overflowed the tub twice in one day. I think they have a problem with their plumbing. After the second incident ,we were moved to the 4th floor. Unfortunately someone started a fire in one of the rooms on the 3rd floor and the whole hotel got evacuated. Overall I did not have a good experience at this hotel.

This resort was overall an "okay" place to stay. Upon checking in our room we went to look out our beach front balcony and you couldn't see the beach for these 3 palm trees blocking the view! We were so disappointed. It was a pretty layed back place for families to go. We loved the pools even though they were a little dirty. We wanted to go out on the beach and sit in the chairs under the umbrellas but when we got out there, there was a guy charging 50 for the day to use them. So needless to say we didn't stay too long on the beach. We went & spent most of our time around the pools. And by the way, I did end up telling one of the staff about a small place around the kiddie pool where the tiles have come up. They are right where the kids are walking. If they hit it with their foot, they could fall in the pool. The hotel did need some cosmetic repairs done. The live entertainment was nice as well as the karoke bar.

My hubby and I visited the hotel during the last week of March and we had a great time. There was a fire at the hotel when we arrived but the staff was very accomodating. Everything we needed was on site including restaurants, bars and pools galore. We had a ball and will be returning both as a couple and with the kids.

Did not like the hotel. The carpets had not been cleaned, cheetos and popcorn still on floor along with other stuff. After asking for the room to be cleaned again, we just got extra towels and soap etc, cheetos and everthing still there. The rooms are very old and in need of a lot of decorating. This was not a family hotel by anyones imagination, the bar noise went on until very late at night. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food, we actually spent very little time there as it was too depressing. I wanted nothing more than to relax on the beach during the day and relax at night on the balcony but way too much noise for that. 10 pools included the hot tubs (2) and the lazy river (about 1 min ride). Please believe the other bad reports as they are so very true. While we were there Myrtle Beach seemed to be more like spring break, not what I would call family orientated. Loved Broadway at the Beach and the State Park Beach, much more relaxing than the hotel beach.

There was only one person working at the front desk when we checked in at noon. She was competant but not friendly. That night around 11:00 pm we received obscene phone calls to our room. I called the front desk;however he was unable to tell me if calls were originating from the hotel, or outside the hotel, and he could not block the calls. Later that night about 1:00 am a guest at the hotel was screaming obscenities down to a man by the pool. She continued to scream and he screamed back for over 20 min. No one from the hotel security ever came to ask them to be quiet. They stopped on their own. (Probably hoarse.) Our room was clean and neat throughout our stay. The staff around the pool and bar were friendly and courteous.

Upon arrival my husband and I were very pleased that we were able to check in a full 6 hours before check in for no additional charge. All staff was very friendly, and the food was great!! Although We were a little dissapointed there was not one more choice of food for lunch/dinner beside the outside bar and grille.Very clean, and wonderful pool/bar area setup. We were only there for a long weekend and the only thing that may prevent us from staying there a full week would be the beds. I'm not sure about the king size beds, as we had 2 double beds but they were extremley uncomforatable. It was like sleeping on a pull out sofa with the springs coming through. In addition the linens were not soft, but very poor quality. Will probably try some place different next time.

Clean comfortable room, very well made-up. Staff was attentive. Great view of ocean. Hotel bar on the ocean was disappointing in a gale but property was very clean. Have stayed here before and would stay here again.

I have been staying at Coral Beach Resort for the past 8 years. My family had another awesome vacation. The staff are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we have a great time. The pools and rooms are always clean. The beach bar is much fun for the entire family. After walking on the beach for a couple hours, it's great to hop in the hot tub for a little R&R. I highly recommend this hotel and hope you enjoy your vacation as much as we always do.

The Coral Beach Resort is a older resort, but the rooms and the service was good, but the lady who checked us in at the front desk was very rude and almost made us decide not to stay.

Upon arrival at the Coral Beach, check in went okay; the desk clerk was so-so, not a lot of wow there. When we got to our room, the bed was unmade & had no pillows. There was garbage in the trash cans, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there was no coffee table or side chair in the sitting room, the toilet was plugged & the rooms REEKED of cigarette smoke. (I thought this was a no-smoking facility) They sent someone from laundry to clean up; she was apologetic & as nice as could be, but the truth was inescapable. I had to put out solid air fresheners & scrub surfaces with bleach wipes. The toilet never did work right the entire time we stayed (5 days). On the other hand, the pools & amenities are nice; it's why my husband & the children (his & mine) want to return. Most of the staff we encountered were as nice as could be. The children always have a good time there & the live entertainment keeps them occupied. I really don't like staying in a hotel where I feel like I can't stand to sit on the sofa or sleep in the bed. So while the kids had fun, I want to stay elsewhere in the future.

The hotel is beauitful on the outside ,,,, the prettiest on the beach. The room we were in was clean and well kept. The walls needed paint and the hotel in general needed alittle TLC on the inside. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The winter rate we got made the room worth the money, but to have paid a large price for the hotel room we were in ,would have been a rippoff.

I have stayed at this resort several times. I, along with my family think it is a great place to stay. I come to the beach with my son to relax and get away, and that is exactly what this resort is about.. Playing music pool side at 11:00am can't beat that . The bartenders were super ....The karaoke at night is fun for every one even if you don't sing... people from many hotels join the fun ... if you dont have a good time here , you didnt come to the beach to relax.

Found 2 cockroaches 2 days in a row! After the discovery of the 2nd roach we checked out - and the manager couldnt have cared less. Staff was rude and overall we had a horrendous experience. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. For just a $* more for our total stay check out the Kingston Plantation - an AWESOME resort and the way things should be done for the same price!
