Wellington, New Zealand

Overview:
The Copthorne Hotel Oriental Bay Wellington is located on Wellington's Oriental Parade Street and is close enough to the water that some of its rooms overlook the harbor. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Te Papa Museum and the theaters and restaurants of Courtney Place. The hotel also gives business travelers easy access to many of the city's premier businesses.
Guests of the Copthorne Hotel Oriental Bay Wellington will find that much of Wellington is accessible on foot, but guests can also use public transportation to get around. A bus ticket for the yellow bus line, which stops at all the city's major attractions, is quite cheap for one day.
The 118 non-smoking rooms of the Copthorne Hotel Oriental Bay Wellington are decorated in a simple style, but they contain plenty of amenities, including LCD televisions and high-speed Internet access. Most of the rooms include balconies overlooking the city or the harbor, and the highest class rooms also have walk-in showers.
This modern hotel features basic amenities like laundry facilities and a business center. More interesting amenities of the Copthorne Hotel Oriental Bay Wellington include an on-site restaurant, One80, which offers expansive views of Wellington and the harbor, and free guest passes to the Fryberg Fitness Center near the hotel.

Located on the edge of the CDB, 5-mins walk to centre. Awesome views across the water to the city. Great bar on the 7th floor with reasonably priced drinks.

The rooms, view, restaurant and location were great, but I booked the hotel because it had a pool and the weekend we were there it was out of service!

The meet and greet by Jackson was fabulous. That is a young man who should be kept in this business. The concierge, Gary was faultless and willing to go out of his way to make our stay easier. Well done!

The restaurant was too expensive. Needs an alternative menu for locals who spend NZ Dollars. Room lovely but small. I really appreciated the upgrade to a superior room.

After a very long day travelling, our room provided the quiet haven we needed. Great view of Oriental Bay, and a short walk into the city. Friendly & helpful staff.

This hotel is in an Amazing position. Wea asked for Harbour view, and it was great. (Room 921) The room was excellent, but because we did not have a superior room, it did not have an inroom safe , or air conditioning. (Although we could have put our stuff in a safe in the lobby) This was not a problem for us, but useful to know. We would definately stay here again, and can easily walk to restauarants and Bars

We were very well looked after in this hotel. The view from our eighth floor room was breathtaking. The diner was excellent although there was a bit of background noise from a group who must have been at a conference - but we were given a table in the quietest corner without having to ask.

Really liked our overnight stay here. The refurbishment is excellent and the room was a good size. Definitely stay here again.

The hotel's expansion two years ago has utilised the site well, but prices have risen significantly (e.g. NZ$18 per day for parking, whereas it used to be free). The staff are very helpful.

Great location close to all main shopping streets, Te Papa, walking distance from Cathedral and Botanical Gardens. Friendly staff including a superb coffee maker from the Phillipines. So close to the beach with remendous views. Our group consisted of grandparents who found it really relaxing, young adults who found it a great area for jogging and close to great bars for a relaxing drink, and a baby who was very happy to enjoy walks in the pushchair to well equipped playgrounds.
