Late booking to save travelling home at night after attending Graduation CeremonyWe decided late to look for a room to save having to drive home after attending a Graduation Ceremony. The room was central and within easy walking distance of the centre. Parking was easy and the staff were excellent. Very good value for money.

Room was fine and breakfast good however Restaurant had no ambience to encourage us dining there and bar prices were excessive.

Good hotel if you get the right dealStayed here a few times now as location for me is really good and good deals can be found. Road side rooms can be on the noisey side but does not seem to bother me.Great location for Soho and loads of other places. Breakfast is good if you want it, just watch out for rates that include breakfast as they can be more expensive than if you were to get breakfast at the hotel. One negative is that reward points can not be claimed when booking through late rooms

Great for a night away!Lovely room but a couple of light bulbs were blown.Breakfast was tasty but Full Scottish Breakfast should have included black pudding and/or haggis.Drawback was very little parking as we had to use the multi-story across the road. Would be costly mid-week!Lovely hotel, friendly staff, nice bar area & restaurant.

ok if you get the offer. wouldn`t pay normal priceI would be very dissapointed if I had payed the normal rate for this room. The restaurant is lovely, staff fantastic, food brilliant but the room was petty shabby and had a musty smell in it.

This is a very nice hotel about a 15 min walk from the train & bus stations. It is quite inconspicuous but inside it has a very nice bar and dining area. The room was comfortable and well equipped even if a little bit small for it's 4 star rating. The bathroom was also on the small side so only one at a time in there! It was however very clean as expected and the staff very helpful. The evening meal we had was brought to us very quickly and even though we hadn't booked a table we were well looked after. The food was the highest quality too and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a nice quiet meal, even non-residents. We didn't actually use the bar as we were meeting up with family in the city but it looked very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent and a fast service was also found here with plenty of choices on the menu. All in all a very pleasant stay and it will be top of my list if I choose to stay in Aberdeen again.

Centrally located surprisingly good value hotelThe hotel has a good size bar and lounge. Reception was efficient, helpful and polite. Room didn't have air con but in Aberdeen it's most probably not the highest item of necessity. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower hot with good pressure. Everything in the room worked. Breakfast was surprisingly good in terms of quantity, quality and variety. The usual full British breakfast and cooked derivitives, plus plenty of cold meat, cheese and fish, fresh and dried fruit, yogurts and cereals available. Service was good although they messed up our original order but redeemed themselves well. Overall a very good experience and great value for money.

Great HotelThe Copethorne is in a great location, but it has limited parking so we ended up parking on a street, which is expensive as we had to pay & display and as we stayed on a Friday night we had to be up by 8.30am to move the car. The food served in the restaurant was excellent and the service was friendly. I would stay here the next time I was visiting Aberdeen.

Great ValueAfter having read some of the reviews, I was a little concerned, however there was absolutely no need. The check-in was quick and easy, the room was great, and breakfast was lovely. No concerns at all about the cleanliness of the room, or the hotel in general. The only small gripe I had was the cost of the WiFi, and breakfast service was a little slow. The dining room was full, so perhaps it was just a case of everyone coming for breakfast at the same time. There is no parking directly outside the hotel, which is a bit annoying. Trying to trail bags and suitcases through the multi-storey car park is not a great experience. But these were small things and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good Central Hotel with friendly and helpfull staff Room was clean and spacious although decor is a bit dated. However this would not put me off staying here again. Lovely reception, lounge and bar area and the breakfast was excellent with a very wide selection to suit everyone'staste. We were very lucky as we managed to secure a parking space in the hotel car park. However, there is a multistorey car park across the street but you will need to pay!

DisappointedOn entering our room it felt cold & unwelcoming. The heating was turned compltely off & I can assure you it was not a warm day. There were cobwebs on the ceiling above the bed. The room furnishings were all past thier best. The bed was not comfortable. The King size was two single beds joined together - only they were not secured & I had to remedy this myself. 2 nights were long enough to sleep in it. The bathroom was a disgrace for a 4 star hotel. The grouting in the lower tiles around the bath was black as was the sealant around the bath. The bath itself was chipped. Finally it was impossible to get a good nights sleep due to the door lock rattling in the keep due to a through draft in the hotel corridor. I eventually wedged a folded card between the door & frame to prevent the noise. We did expect better from the Copthorne brand !

Dirty roomDust was thick under and around furniture, easily accessible with hoover.Food in restaurant was excellent and a surprise after checking in to room.Full praise to chef who produced lovely prepared from scratch meals at dinner and haddock and poached eggs at breakfast. Black marks to maids who could do a better job on rather tired looking decor.
