Will NOT stay here again ever. We watched many check in and then to go right back and check out. A very run down place, very dirty and not at all kept nice. And NO free breakfast where you can find anywhere now a days. And could have found a much better deal too.

June, 2009
Location. Run down. Great location. Room smell but air freshener helped. Pool is run down but the water was clean. It is an old hotel but for my family the location was great, we only slept and swam a little. Most of the time we were at the beach or Pier.

I booked this hotel with regard to walking distance to Main street, The reception area was nice with free coffee available, Very helpful and friendly desk staff. Located right on the beach, Room was fine with 2 beds and TV,Shower etc Coffee maker and fridge in the room. stairways were a bit scruffy as they were carpeted, but as open from street/ beach, hard to keep them clean. Overall if booked via [your website], good value for money!

i read some reviews on here a few days before our trip and was fearing something terrible when i got there. but when we did get there, the room wasnt bad at all. we had a balcony viewing the ocean and pool. for under $* for 7 nights, cant ask for much else. the elevator is still broken as of april 2009, there is no ice machine and one thing i did not enjoy doing was the "damage inventory" after driving 27 hours from minneapolis to daytona beach. also, *deposit PER PERSON is required, which seemed a little steep.. obviously for $* a week, not everything is going to be perfect, our door was pretty tough to close from the outside and there were some crazies walking around, but we were on vacation and ignored it my advice: this hotel is perfect for young kids on spring break. its location is very nice, right across the street from a liquor store

if you need a elevator don't go to this hotel the elevator is there but it does not work and twice during my stay i had "ladies of the evening" or the oldest profession in man kind knock on my door and see if i needed "company" if you have kids i would not stay here unless you want a dark side experience of daytona beach!!!!

It is a great location. The building is somewhat older but the rooms are fine. They were clean and had a nice view of the ocean. We would stay here again. I cant brag enough on the staff. They were always helpful, informative and more than genuinely happy to assist us in any way they could. The hotel should consider them a wonderful find. Overall, a great place to stay, it is close to everything and only minutes from the racetrack.

over whelming ubran ellement. lotsa door slaming all night and room to room traffic. dogs are welcome but tend to bark alot when owners are out on the town and neighbors are being loud, very loud. pool was ok, very close to beach. rooms have safes, fridges, coffee maker microwave, excellent water presure (nice and hot) housekeeping does a great job considering what they have to work with.parking spaces are limited ,and undersized. my vehicle got door dings

Knowing we weren't going to spend much time in the hotel when we were in Daytona I wasn't concerned with getting a fancy hotel room. You get what you pay for here, low rates, basic hotel. Great for those vacationers that spend more time out of the hotel room than in the room.

Right on the beach. Abit shabby and worn but then we only slept in the room! All in all the rooms were clean but shabby and well worn. The hotel was right on the beach and we enjoyed being able to get up and head right down every day.

1st room was infested with fleas, so they switched us to another room. The next room was ok, the shower spit water out both the orifices at the same time but the kicker was that our room was broken into at approx. 10:30 at night while we were out. Our bags and cell phones were stolen and the hotel proceeded to tell me about some florida statute saying they aren't responsible for any theft on their property. Luckily online travel agency gave me a refund for the room. I would not stay here again, very inadequate, and obviously unsafe!

There is nothing I liked about this hotel because it is very dirty rooms and couldn't breath with all the cigarette smoke. Dirty carpets, all the bedding smelled and rooms didn't appear to be cleaned with any soap or cleaner whatsoever. The room we were given was so bad that I asked for another room and was given another room that was just as bad. I complained about the rooms being so dirty and smelly especially with the musty cigarette odor. Had to go to the store to get Lysol just to be able to get a couple hours of sleep. This hotel should be listed as smokers only. I will get this information out to the public with BBB and all the travel agencies and the AAA and any other organization I can find as I was so disappointed that they didn't have any room that was at least decent as far as clean and smoke less idor in the room.

The Conch House in Daytona Beach was totally disgusting. Other than a great location (beachfront), it has nothing to offer. It was extremely dirty, the elevator has been out of order for quite a long time, the hotel hallway is filthy, the rooms were not appealing, the room carpeting was so dirty we never took our shoes off!! Our rooms were oceanview which means they overlooked a parking lot quite a ways down from the oceanfront. There was a fight in the parking lot one night and yelling and banging on doors all thru the night. We felt totally unsafe. Need I say more?

Location by the beach. Bring your own plunger, you'll need it. A good location on the beach. About one mile to ocean walk/pier. Staff is friendly but owner doesn't care about maintaining/updating property. Parking is tight. Evening security was on-site and willing to evict drunk persons. Pool lacked chlorine and general cleaning/upkeep. Do yourself a favor and BYOP (bring your own plunger). If you don't expect much, this is your place.

I was very happy with the size of the room, the closeness to the pool and the beach. We were close enough to the boardwalk and the pier to walk to those places and to any number of dining choices. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Location right on the beach. Pool was attractive as well. Actually looked like someone was shot in the room and blead all over the carpet, hopefully they are alright. Not a very nice place, unless you are willing to sacrifice room cleanliness for a good location directly on the beach.

Staff was good, pool was good, steps to the beach is great. But otherwise, this is an older motel. Dirty carpet, old bathroom, a bit of a dive. But what troubled me the most was that I didn't feel secure because there is only the key-card door lock--no separate deadbolt to be used from inside the room, and the doors swing OUT (this is against code in my state of CA, apparently not in FL) so I couldn't even prop a chair against the knob on the inside. For 2 women traveling, I didn't feel comfortable.

Nothing. Dirty sheets, room had not been cleaned in a long time, shower was not working, carpet was absolutely disgusting. It is, by far, most horrible place I have ever been to. The room was covered in dust, thick enough to write my name in it. Not to mention that we discovered empty cans of beer in one of the cabinets from God knows when. The shower was not working properly, which made showering awkward. The carpet was stained, old and had a foul smell. And that is only inside the room. The stairwell that takes you to the 2nd floor was covered in cobweb and looked like some rundown factory hallway. We unfortunately also happened to have forgotten a pillow in the room, which we promptly called about, more or less 4hrs after checkout. As we feared, no one had retrieved it although there is no doubt we had left it in the room. The staff was far from helpful and not very friendly. Extremely poor customer service.
