The room was clean enough, but spartan and dark. Not enough light to read a book. Old-fashioned TV and air conditioner. No extras. Check-in was 4:00 pm. and checkout 11:00 am. Room was not ready at check-in time. Staff talked loudly among themselves and smoked near the front door. Although a nonsmoking hotel, the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. Other desk staff idled around talking while one employee checked us in and juggled the phones. Restaurant on-site and coffee in the lobby, but no continental breakfast. One ice machine for the entire hotel. The "lake" is actually a small pond.

Atmosphere was wonderful as well as the amenities. Outdated decor. The location of the hotel was great. Very peaceful country setting. Great amenities.

we came up for the night, all was good, the service was GREAT. Had no problems.Son wished the pool was heated.
