The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were so nice and spacious-the hotel was not real close to anything but it was quite adequate and the staff was very helpful. I would stay there again.

The convenient location and the room decor - very comfortable. This hotel is conveniently located to the Historic District of New Bern. You can park your car and walk everywhere to see the water, great seafood restaurants, nice little stores and beautiful old houses. The beds were extremely comfortable and the suites were well equipped. The staff was friendly and overall, it was a great experience.

The lobby and hallways are beautiful and the rooms at first glance are great, however that is where it ends. The air conditioner did not work properly; the room was warm and stuffy. Mold on the ceilings, the bathroom fixtures were old and pitted, cracks and gaps in the caulking. Most important the sanitation grade is 90.5%. I will not eat in and establishment with that grade and had I not needed a place to stay due to construction in my home, I would not have stayed there. I am from this city and will no longer recommend this hotel. The Hampton is just as nice, cleaner and cheaper.

The hotel was on the river and we walked to nearly every event we wanted to attend. Very convenient. Our room was next to the boiler room. This hotel was located near everything. We walked to dinner, events, shops, and loved the convenience of the building.

I spent one night here to attend a night-time event in the New Bern Convention Center. The staff was very proficient and friendly, the room was clean and well organized, and the location on the water was easy to find with a great view out the window. The convention center is a short walk from the hotel, and although there was a Sheraton next to the convention hall it had bad reviews on the Internet. If I ever have business in New Bern again I will be staying at the Comfort Suites.

My husband and I originally booked a Suite at the Sheraton for a weekend getaway. When we arrived it was totally unacceptable and the staff was rude and completely unwilling to help us in any way. We talked to a bartender at a restaurant across the street and she recommended the Comfort Suites. We called and explained our situation and the reception desk clerk outdid herself in finding us a suite with a river view & balcony for half the price of the Sheraton. The hotel is beautiful and right on the river. The room was very clean and had a huge jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The common areas were very nice and breakfast was available every morning for free. The pool could have been kept a bit cleaner, but we also had some wind and thunderstorms so the leaves and debris may have been from that. We highly recommend this hotel for the price and the staff!

Traveled alone, felt very safe. Room was very clean except the balcony windows. Bugs were terrible outside so I would like to have been able to see better from inside the room. Will visit again.

We used the Comfort Suites for a business trip. We had checked the cost of other rooms. If you need to be near convention center, I highly recommend the Comfort Suites. Within walking distance to the convention center as well as great restaurants.The staff was very courteous and friendly. The double room with partial room divider was a little bigger than a normal room, which gave us some extra space.I enjoyed waking up and setting on the balcony looking at the river, it was a beautiful view. I would highly recommend the Comfort Suite in New Bern, NC.
