On my business trip to Oxford this September, I was really impressed with a great value this hotel is. Only complaint: in king rooms bed is too close to the AC unit, which is pretty loud. Fortunately it was in the 70s, so it was OK to turn it off.

Very nice hotel, but the rates (even discounted ones) are a bit too high for this market.Location is in one of those recently built up developments at an exit, so there's plenty of chain restaurants and even a good sized shopping center nearby. However, the main feature of this hotel was a broad view of the back of Lowe's.Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Probably the first time I've arrived too early for a room to be ready (understandable) that they not only let me check in but gave me the room key, so I didn't have to make a second trip to the desk to complete the process when the room was available.Rooms try a bit too hard to be "suites," with too much furniture to run into. I'd rather have the additional space with fewer coffee tables and the like. The bed was only so-so in comfort, and the a/c unit on the wall drove us crazy because there was no way to keep it from blowing the curtains all over the place when they were closed for the night. Not a huge breakfast fan, but this one was disappointing. Some of the items (yogurt, fruit) had been hanging around too long. The advertised "omelets" were just reheated patties of scrambled eggs. The public PCs were convenient, but their internet connection would occasionally reset, asking for an ISP userid and password. Very nice lobby, but their outdoor benches could use a good dusting.Overall, very satisfied, but it could have been much better.

We stopped here for a night before going to the Talladega Gran Prix racetrack for a track day. The hotel was surprisingly nice and clean. We will definitely stay there again. Hotel is near a lot of restaurants(not just fast food) and stores. This exit was much nicer than the one closer to the track. There is an IHOP within walking distance but you won't need it, their breakfast is great and included in the price of your stay.

We recently stayed at this hotel while house hunting in the area. It is centrally located and close to restaurants, shopping, and the major roads/highways. The rooms are good sized with a love seat and table plus a separate desk area. Wireless internet in the room was very helpful! There is a mini fridge and microwave which was handy as well. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good and had a good variety. I got the government rate which helped but still thought it was expensive for the area. Overall, it was a nice hotel in which we felt safe and comforable. I highly recommend this hotel if traveling through the Talledega/Anniston/Oxford area.

Free wireless internet, good location off Exit 188 near a lot of eating options and a mall 3 miles away, new construction, indoor entry into rooms, very spacious, and more than enough parking.Breakfast was a tad sparse, but there were several hot options in addition to cereal and muffins. 30 minutes from Talladega, 20 - 25 from Jacksonville State University, 60 minutes from Birmingham.Government rate of 70 made this hotel a GREAT option, and I will be staying here again next time I stay in Oxford/Anniston.

I was traveling with my two young kids and it was nice to enter a hotel and nowt be overwhelmed by the smell of smoke. Very nice. Will be back in July 2007.

"Best handicap accessible room we've ever seen! As a family with a disabled teen in a wheelchair, we appreciated the queen beds instead of the usual king in handicap room. Staff here was amazing. Outstanding personnel!"
