Although it was very convenient to the theatre we were there for, the hotel is very dated and not very clean. Would not stay here again. Parking is free but you have to park in a parking ramp that is a block away. Not a bad walk during the day.

This hotel is disgusting! I checked in late on Thursday night (very much in need of rest) and was appalled by the condition of the room. There were stains everywhere (on the walls, on the tables, on the couch).That really grossed me out. I layed out some towels on the couch and slept there instead, then checked out early the next morning and into the Hyatt nearby. I do NOT recommend this place at all. It's a disaster! I had other friends staying there that night as well. They also checked out early too, due to the hotel's uncleanliness, no working a/c, and no working toilet.

Family reunion in Buffalo. Arrived around 12 midnight after a full day on airplanes from western U.S. Night desk clerk very helpful in locating food at this late hour. Warmish week in Buffalo. Either hotel AC was not turned on or barely functional; set room thermostat to cool and sixty, but never got below eighty. It was cooler opening windows, but this let in noise from streets and local bars. When daughter arrived; sofa bed was found to be broken. The same night clerk was helpful in placing us in another room, but the sofa bed in this room was also broken. We propped up mattress frame with sofa cushions and pillows. In all fairness the hotel is undergoing renovation, whether the furniture will be replaced is unknown. Nice breakfast selections. All in all, I would skip the Comfort Suites Downtown on my next Buffalo visit and look for another suite hotel.

The lobby was nice and staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms and halls look as if they hadn't been remodeled since Regan era. The Comfort Suites is convenient to Buffalo's downtown nightlife and has helpful friendly staff, but I am not sure I would recommend it. The rooms were spacious and had free Wi-Fi but the appointments were dated. The phone in the bedroom didn't work. The TVs looked like they were 20 years old. The walls and carpets all looked very dated.

During a July, 2008 weekend trip, my husband and I decided to stay here because of the proximity to the ballpark and other downtown amenities. We were greeted with outdated and worn furniture and TV's in our room and the news that the on-premises restaurant had been experiencing some problems and had lost its liquor license. When our shower sprayed water all over the place Saturday morning, we were assured it would be fixed while we were out. Later, when we returned to find the shower still broken, we found out that there was no maintainence man working that weekend and we couldn't be moved because the hotel was fully booked. When I returned home, I posted an unfavorable review of the hotel only to receive an e-mail asking if I would like to be contacted by a representative. I am still waiting. I have been back to Buffalo (a great place!) twice since and have stayed somewhere else. I recommend you do the same.

Ok, so this place is not the Hilton, but, the front desk staff definitely made up for it. Anything you wanted to know about where to go to eat, drink, and be entertained they knew. Especially the front desk women during the evening. They were really nice and funny They gave me all kinds of restaurant options, places to go watch some bands, visit some art galleries. They are also really good with directions. If you are going to come definitely come on the weekends, the bars are open until 4am! There are a lot of hidden gems in Buffalo you just have to look for them. I found some great ideas in a local free newspaper called Artvoice. The rooms were a lot bigger than I expected. They do need a little bit of updating but, I wasn't in the hotel that much so it did not really bother me that much.

The hotel served it's purpose housing four concert going dudes. But it was not the most up to date or cleanest hotel I have stayed in. The curtains had spots on them as did the pull out bed. The cushions on the couch were pretty gross too. All and all it wasn't that bad, but certainly there are better hotels. If you are there for a show and with some buds it's not bad and will definately do.

Close to night life. Room was dirty, too expensive. The hotel was ordered based off of convenience. Rooms were out dated and not very clean. Also we had to change our door swipe cards 5 or 6 times in one evening because they would not stay activated. Front desk manager was showing his frustration with visitors and it did not look good for the company.

The Staff were friendly and very helpful.. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooms was very dirty, we had to ask for extra sheets to cover the couch and beds because the place did not feel clean. The bathtub looked liked it had not been scrubbed in a month.

It's a nice hotel in it's location. You need to use your key-card to operate the elevator. It's great for security reasons, but the key cards don't always work, or it at least takes a few tries. I stayed here overnight the day before and the day of my wedding. I had rented a cot so that 3 of my bridesmaids could stay overnight with me. All 4 of us fit quite comfortably in the room. The air conditioner was broke however, and the window in the bedroom had no screen on it, so we couldn't open it. They gave me a new room for the next night since they couldn't fix the AC. I told them I did not need the cot for the next night since it would just be my husband and I. When we went to check out they insisted that I owed them for the second night rental on the cot. After talking to 2 people, I did get them to take the charge off. Overall, it's a good location and nice sized rooms. It could be even better if they spent some money on up-dating the rooms and keeping up on maintainence.

Rooms were a good size and bed was comfortable. Also liked that bedroom had a door that closed off from the rest of the suite. Very noisy at night due to clubs and cars in area. Rooms are comfortable and a good size. Carpets didn't seem that clean. Close to restaurants and bars, also very noisy due to proximity. Even with closed windows noise could be heard. Parking not available at hotel, but a few blocks away.

if you are looking for a place to sleep after partying in downtown buffalo, this is the place. the rooms are pretty dirty - hair from previous guest in bathroom, dirty shower with moldy drain etc...also there is NO water pressure so if you have longer hair, good luck in rinsing out the conditioner! on a positive note, the staff was incredible! very friendly, accommodating and helpful. also the shuttle service was great and the free breakfast not too shabby.

I liked that the hotel is very secure, too. You need a room key to get into the lobby at night, and to get into the elevator at any time. The rooms are very well furnished, clean, and generally well maintained. The continental breakfast is also above average. My only complaint is that there was no hot water in the shower or sink on the night I checked in (granted, it was 11pm on a Friday night, when the hotel was at or near capacity with a convention in town, but still..). The next day, there was hot water, but the water temperature was wildly fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold. With better control of their water temperature, this hotel would have been an absolutely flawless experience.

Location. The mattress on the sofa bed kept falling through the frame. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. The hotel was great if there is only 2 of you staying. The sofa bed was horrible to sleep on. The mattress kept falling through frame and I barely slept at all! Otherwise the room was in a great location.

This room exceeded my expectations!! I was larger than any other room I have satyed in, with a very reasonable price. Also the locastion was prime, to downtown Buffalo. I also liked the security feature of having to have a key in order to use the elevator. I also liked that check-out was not until noon. The stay was extremely enjoyable and I will be sure to book again.

Great location to bar district - that is why I chose it. The tub was dirty looking, sink was clogged, TV was old, fridge didn't close. I think 15 sums it up pretty well. There were a number of problems with the room, but the purpose of the room was a bachelor party and it worked well. We all had enough room (there were 6 of us before we went out and 5 stayed over). The king size bed was large enough for three women.

The Comfort Suites in Buffalo is a pleasant place to stay . The rooms are neat and tidy the hotel staff was very friendly, they arranged for pickups from Airport & bus stations which was of great help.The continental breakfast was an additional bonus.
