Comfort Suites Canal Park is located on the shores of Lake Superior with a 2.5-mile stretch of lake outside the front doors. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast. There are whirlpools, indoor pool, lakeside patio, a gazebo overlooking Canal Park, and meeting rooms on site. The hotel is adjacent to Grandma's Saloon & Grill, Sports Garden, Little Angies, Canal Park Marine Museum, charter fishing, and numerous gift shops and antique stores. The convention center is two blocks away and downtown Duluth is six blocks from the hotel. Each suite has a refrigerator, sleeper sofa, coffeemaker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and cable with HBO and pay-per-view movies.

The view was great. The view was great. It was nice to be on the boardwalk and so close to all the restaurants. We will definitely be back.

It was our second or third stay there - about once every five years. It will always be our first call for a reservation. Hey, if it works, why take a chance! Ideal location to restaurants, all the shops, canal, bridge, walking path along shore, etc. The hotel has a great atmosphere and services. Sure maybe a little spendy but what do you expect in the summer in Duluth? How often do you do it? I'll bet if one were to add it all up (driving from some cheaper hotel a ways off to get to Canal Park, the parking, the great little breakfasts) you wouldn't be far off. Go for it! (From the sound of some reviewers you'd think some folks were picking a spouse or buying a house or something.) Besides, it really puts my wife if the right mood!

Beds were very comfortable. Not enough parking and had to park in a lot next door. The hotel is very nice, rooms decorated very tastefully and the beds were very comfortable. Great continental breakfast and lots to chose from. Great area, tons of shops, places to eat, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

This was my second stay at the Comfort Suites Canal Park in Duluth. Since the last time, they have fully upgraded the beds and bedding and I don't think I have ever slept in a more luxurious bed at a hotel before this. You can't beat the location for its proximity to the attractions and eating establishments in Canal Park. We got a lake-view room and it was fun to watch the ships come in and the people strolling on the Harbor Walk.

The location! Close to the race I was participating in. The price, I felt the rooms were overpriced. Beautiful location; close to many fun events in Duluth (Grandma's marathon, inline marathon, etc). The breakfast was 'do it yourself' but lots of good variety and easy to access. The staff was friendly and competent.

Location and breakfast. Water dripping on air conditioner outside flashing kept us awake at night. Staff need better vacuum's because we found many pieces of old candy and dirt on the floor in the room. Bathroom sinks need an update as does the carpet on the stairs and lobby.

The bed spread. Nothing. We were very pleased with the room decor and the location, I just wish I had asked for a Lakeview room because the view was not good, but maybe next time.

We loved the location - close to everything. The clerk at desk when we checked in - not friendly. We've stayed at all the hotels on Canal Park and this was our favorite and we will stay there again. Location is perfect. The beautiful decks on the front were so nice.

The price was wonderful for the accommodations. It is a beautiful hotel! Maybe make the computer easier to access, not under lock and key?. We loved it. The view was beautiful and the service was wonderful, the staff was very helpful, printed us several maps! Thank you!

Convenient, cozy, good breakfast buffet. Way too much chlorine in pool, the entire pool area smelled so heavily of chlorine that I could not stay in it or swim at all. Pleasant, friendly, I would stay again. My room did have an odor that smelled slightly of old cigarettes.

Each bed had four pillows - nice feature. One light bulb was burned out. Excellent breakfast.

Easy parking. Bed was too close to the wall. For a handicap room it was too far from the main door. It was comfy to stay. .

Location, location, location. Too much furniture crammed into the room. It was difficult to maneuver in without bumping into things. Excellent location for an overnight stay. Many restaurant choices within walking distance. On the lake and near the aerial lift bridge made for some excellent views.

Great location, friendly staff and nice pool. Pull out bed was uncomfortable. Another very pleasant experience! Very nice, safe location next to several good restaurants! The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was above average. I would recommend this hotel and my kids loved the pool!

Nice "continental" breakfast self made waffles and bacon amidst the usual fair. We got a "handicapped" room, which meant no bathtub. Nice place great location for getting around to Canal Park shopping, restaurants and nightlife!

Warm pool. No sauna. Both my adult son and I enjoyed our stay at the comfort suites. In particular, we loved its location along the shore of lake superior. The facility was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the continental breakfast was substantial, and the pool, while not Olympic size, was large and the water was warm and not overly chlorinated.

friendly staff, clean, great location, wonderful breakfast. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I've stayed at this hotel in the past and will definitely return. The rooms were clean and seemed to be recently redecorated. The pool area was clean and the water was at a great temperature. I've been to some hotels where the pool is kept at a lower temperature during the week, but not here. I definitely have a very favorable opinion of the Canal Park Comfort Suites in Duluth, MN.

Beautiful lake view and comfortable seating on the big porch. This was a very clean & friendly place to stay right on the edge of Lake Superior. The beds were very comfortable & the rooms were clean & modern. We loved the fresh Belgium waffles for breakfast. The pool was a nice size with 2 Jacuzzi. We will definitely stay there again!

Great location-god price-comfortable. All of the extra charges/taxes tourism fees. A nice clean hotel with great views of lake superior and convenient location. Complimentary breakfast was good quality with variety. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel experience was unbelievable and I have recommended it to my family and friends. Not a thing. A very friendly and courteous staff. The hotel itself was fabulous. I will always compare this hotel to others as the 'best in class'.
