my pet-friendly room was spotless!

The breakfast was great! Bagels, eggs, and sausage! Asheville seems very dog friendly! We were not! There were lots of families there. Also, lots of dogs. Some barked at inconvenient hours. Not really expecting to see so many dogs in that whole city!

In my mind a suite is a combination of 2 or more rooms (not counting the bathroom) that involves a "living area" and "sleeping area" separated from each other, usually by a door. I got here and found two beds, an uncomfortable 6' sleeper sofa, one desk chair (not a lounge chair), desk and a small coffee table in a room only slightly larger than a usual standard room. I asked the clerk and was told that what I have is precisely a suite and all their "suites" are like that. So if you want a SUITE or you want something comfortable to sit in, you don't want Comfort Suites. I consider my self tolerant and will cope with most anything, but I will NOT stay here again.

The hotel has been remodeled, so dont pay attention to any of the review from 2007 or early 2008. I feel we got a lot for the money while staying here. The location is absolutely the best with mountnain views, and a major regional shopping mall on the same lot. There were abundant restaurant choices adjacent in walking distance to help tame the cost of fuel during a family trip these days. The bathrooms were beautiful, and the pool terrific. I would stay again and definetely recommend. It is a very hihg quality Mariott or Hilton level hotel, so rest assured, you will get high quality accomodations. The hotel has higher room prices on the weekends when the Biltmore Estate tourist's flow inn, so book early!

Had a wonderful time. Bed was comfortable, nice whirlpool. Will need to return to the Biltmore Estate to see more and will return to Comfort Suites for the stay.

Location and cleanliness. I was very pleased with this hotel. It had everything I need for a weekend trip and the continental breakfast was very good.

Great trip. Bed was wonderful...nice and fluffy. Would return to the Hotel.

A brand new hotel. Completely remodeled, with raised wood picture frame paneling in lobby. A fantastic and refreshing change from before when we stayed. Free full breakfast with alot of choice. On mall premises so the kids had a place to visit when we were at the hotel. I will always stay her when visitng to Asheville. The hotel was very pleasant and the price was worth it -- which is rare in hotels. Location was convenient to Biltmore Estate, with discounted tickets at the front desk to save us to cap it all of.

Our stay at the comfort suites was excellent. Located close to all the attactions. Breakfast was great although you had to wait for a place to set at times but still good.would recommend the place to anyone.

The beds were exceptional. The warm breakfast was a disaster at 9 AM. Everything warm gone. One girl to try and refill unsuccessfully! Yes, there was a crowd of people, but there needed to be a better way to refill food. Eggs, sausage, grits, gravy, bagels were all gone when I arrived. Coffee was out. A huge line was waiting to make waffles the only warm alternative. The girl trying to help everyone was most kind and apologetic, but it was impossible for her to meet our needs alone. Have no idea if she ever refilled things I had cold cereal and left!

The hotel definately had a stale odor to it. There was not enough room in the breakfast area but the food was okay, not horrible..but not the best. The elevator was always very busy. The website information was incorrect. We were overcharged and management refused to speak to us. Very rude staff and does not know much about the area. We called corporate office and their 100% satisfaction guarantee is to offer coupons for a future stay...NO WAY!!!!! They do not stand by their words by putting it back on the rude manager as all their hotels are independently owned. Do not stay!!

This hotel is poorly maintained. The floors and tub were dirty and there were dirty sheets in the pull-out bed. The tub had a leaking faucet.

This facility was very clean, and comfortable. A very small room divider, but the beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Clean well stocked breakfast area, and vending machines which were nice for a late night snack for the kids. Very easy check in/out, right off of I-26, 5 minutes from Biltmore Village, and about the same to the airport. Several eating options nearby, and the local Moose Cafe is about 2 minutes from hotel. We would stay here again.

Very clean, spacious & modern with great breakfast. Only one elevator for guest and staff. It was quicker to use the stairs, we were on the 4th floor. I would recommend this hotel for business or leisure travelers. It was modern, clean, and the staff was very friendly. The only downfall was that it has only one elevator. Use the stairs or be patient. It's not a big deal unless you will be in and out a lot.

Hotel was very nice. Staff and surroundings were impressive. Everything was very clean and had all the up to date amenities. We would stay there again when in the Asheville area. Breakfast bar was also enjoyable.

Stay at this hotel if you don't want to be treated nicely. Staff's attitude is that this is a hotel in a resort/tourist area and they don't care what the rooms cost, or if they have the right room type available when you arrive - even when you called the hotel to confirm that afternoon! They did not honor their satisfaction guarantee. I requested a manager and was told they were gone till after I was to check out. They act like they're the only game in town - unfortunately we arrived somewhat late in the day and could not get out of our reservations. The rear access door did not close or lock, so the hotel was open to whomever all night. Carpets and facility are beginning to show wear. Beds not very comfortable. Do I need to say more?Stay away!

Our room with king-size bed and sofa bed was a nice size -- not at all cramped. The mattress and pillows were really comfortable. We also liked the location for its easy access to two interstates and lots of good, local restaurants. Our only complaint is that there isn't enough seating in the breakfast area -- especially when the hotel is hosting bus-loads of teens as it was the night we stayed there.

Nothing. Everything, just a dump. Dump.

The hotel has been recently remodeled, but our bathroom had mildew in the shower -- the shower walls did not meet in the corners, causing mildew around and behind it. The drain had also been pulled out and was sitting on the shelf in the shower -- not sure why. The previous reviewer stated that the hotel was equal to Marriot or Hilton -- I would not agree with that at all. It was ok, but not that quality. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The location was ok, and there are restaurants nearby.

Found used coffee cup under one bed. Whole hotel had a musty/stale smell throughout. It appears, at least at this particular Comfort Suites, that cleanliness and house keeping are not high on the list.
