I got stuck in the elevator. The breakfast room was over crowded. The service was exceedingly slow and there were so many people you had to wait 30 minutes to get your food. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again if I can avoid it.

We really liked this hotel. The waffles were exquisite, according to my 12 year old niece. The rooms were recently renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had to wait a half hour to get our preferred room, but we were being picky about it. They gave us exactly what we wanted. The beds were extra comfortable with great pillows. Rooms recently renovated. The refrigerator should have been been colder, but they told us that 45 degrees was as cold as they get. The pool was small, but clean and very blue (says the niece). The location was fine, but you have to have a car, or take cabl to get around. Plenty of good eats nearby. We would and will go back again

We had reserved a room with a king sized bed through Cheap Tickets. Upon arriving we were given our room number which turned out to have 2 queen sized beds. We went back down to the front desk, and showed them our printed reservation for a king sized bed. The attendant checked the computer, then told us that there were no king sized beds available due to a water leak in the hotel. I mentioned that we could take the room for the night, but asked if we could be moved to a room with a king sized bed the next night. She said that wasn't possible because the hotel was booked. I asked if we could get some money back from the room for not getting the room we requested. She said that was between me and Cheap Tickets and that she couldn't help me. The beds did not have comforters on them either since they were remodelling the hotel and the comforters were on back order. The location of the hotel is not great either. Incidentally, on the second night I asked if we could be moved to a room with a king sized bed, and that attendant gave us a room with a king sized bed and she didn't know of any water damage. Weird... Needless to say, that I have only stayed at Choice Hotels for the past 5 years of my life and am a Choice Hotels Rewards Member, but since this incident I have stopped staying at any of the Choice Hotels.

nothing breakfast was a nightmare. to many teenage kids. very rude and disorderly. You have to pay to park in the hotel parking lot. Will not stay there again.

our stay was great! the kids got their own room w/ their own tv. kids ages: 5 and 8. the breakfast wasn't fantastic, but it was perfect to grab a quick bite before heading off to the day's adventures. would definitely recommend this suite for families with young kids! Was in close proximity to all of the parks (had to travel about 15-20 min to Wild Animal Park). The Zoo and Sea World were only 2 miles away. Very easy highway access, but better to ask staff or have a GPS. they also have garage parking and parking rates are $5/per night.

Recent remodel just finished on the 2nd floor and we luckily got a new room! Very clean and modern. Updated look compared to pictures shown and would reccommend to others. New furniture and plasma tv in room. We were scared to take a shower because of other reviews but the shower wasn't bad @ all. Location and parking ***** but decent room for the price!!!

The staff was unfriendly, and the room was in a very noisy and inconvenient location. The elevator was old and slow. The vending machine on the floor that I was on was not working properly. The room that I was given did not have a bed spread and it was located next to the area that they were serving the complimentary breakfast. The noise began at 5:00 am and continued until 10:00 am.

This hotel was great for families. We were at the other Comfort Inn Across the Street and it did not compare to this one. The Suite had a sliding door in the middle and 2 tvs. This can make all the difference in making everyone happy. the location was great (central to everything). Clean and nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Hot Tub needs cleaning and pool smelled like mildew. This is the only thing we fould wrong.

While the room was quite nice, with bunk beds for my kids (who didn't come unfortunately), I could not recommend this hotel to anyone. The water temp in the shower oscillated wildly between scalding and ice cold every time I showered.

We were laying down in our room and another guest unlocked our door with their key card and walked in on us. The hotel had checked them in to our room even though we had the room for three more nights. The hotel superviser did not do anything to compensate, period. We will never stay at that hotel again.

Large rooms. Remodeling. Once the remodeling is complete the hotel will be an affordable/comfortable place to stay for business or vacation travel. We didn't have time to use the hotel's facilities.

? I was put into a room with 2 queen beds. I had requested a King room online, but since I did not book through the hotel, I was told that a King room was not guaranteed, and not available. They said that the travel websites often overbook the room. I was "upgraded" to a suite, only to learn later that it was 2 double beds. ? The online company states that parking is included, but this hotel charges $4.95/night. ? After dropping my bracelet under the washbasin vanity, we reached under to get it out. What also came out was dirty dust, food wrappers, shampoos, utensils, etc. ? I found a cockroach in the bathroom and killed it. ? The water in the tub barely heated up. I had filled the tub, with bubble bath, only to learn that the water was only cool, and that was after running it till the tub was full and having the handle at the hottest point. After I drained the tub, I checked the water again and then that the hot water started to come out, but by that time I was out of bubble bath. In the morning I decided to take a shower to make up for the lost bath, but again, the water never even got lukewarm. Other reviews say other customers had the same problem. ? Upon checking out, I let the front desk know of these incidences. They said that because many rooms share the same water heaters, sometimes one has to wait before showering. I feel that this means that I need to coordinate with the other guests before planning a bubble bath. I was also told that since I booked the room online they could not refund or really do much about the situation.

Parking was not great. Elevators and rooms were dirty. Both locks in the room were broken. The breakfast area was very small. There wasn't enough seating to accomodate the amount of people. Not nearly as nice as it appears in the pictures!

They had entrances from outside of hotel via elevator to floors. The location of hotel is confusing. Everyone was very friendly. Hotel & room were clean. The room set up was weird, internet connection was located near the bed and not the desk which was on the other side of the room. Room was large.

Awesome Deal for the money and would most defintely stay again! Our 2 year old loved the waffles and couldn't get enough of the heated pool every night we came back from the very convenient sites located near and around the hotel. The Zoo, Seaworld, Old Town; Everything was so easy to get to from here. The room was clean and housekeeping did an incredible job every day. No complaints from us at all! Would stay again and plan to visit again since we have the year long membership at Seaworld. A+A+A+A+A+A+ Make sure you visit the steak house next door for some great prime rib and also if you are a Food Network fan of Diners Dive-Ins and Dives....San Diego has 3 hot spots that you have to go to for some lip smackin daggum good food that you will not soon forget! We were disappointed in our room - it was not clean and we were given a handicapped room which we did not request. It was as far away as possible from the lobby, which seemed odd. Was dark and dingy, bathroom was the worst part.
