Visiting for business. Although the front of the building didn't look like much once you entered off the street you could tell the hotel had been there for a long time and probably has some interesting history. I worked all day long so when it was time to find something to eat at the end of the day it was a pleasure to have many options within walking distance. The complementary continental breakfast was above average. My room was very small but clean. I understand I had the smallest room and there are larger ones available. The walls were a little thin one evening but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Room decor, breakfast area, fitness area, near parking. Noparking, but checkout bound.

Attentive staff. Poor, boring breakfasts with few healthful foods, as well as overcrowded. Can hear people in hallways way too much from rooms. Very good housecleaning.

Hotel is in a great downtown location, right where we wanted to be for restaurants and shopping. However, our room was unusually small and we had a nasty view of the back alley. If you are looking for a clean, not too expensive room in a great part of town, this is it. If you want to spend time IN your room/enjoying your room, I'd keep looking.

This place looks old (apparently the building is very old but the hotel is not). The room was small & not very bright, the bathroom was nice & clean, while breakfast being served right there was a time-saver. However, I think the location & cost are the best things about this hotel. I was here on business & spent only the night in my room, so it was great!

Great location and the staff was helpful. Access to parking garage was a little tricky, but nothing was horrible. Rooms were smaller than average but nothing that would make it inconvenient. Staff was friendly and helped with directions. Rooms were clean and modern. Free continental breakfast was the usual.

The location was excellent and service was very good. I am not a world traveler but the room was definitely overpriced (even though my travel was last minute notice and the hotel was at 87% capacity). The bed was extremely uncomfortable and even though check out was at noon, housekeeping knocked on the door at 8:30am and again at 9:30am. Overall, If I'm not going for comfort or needed relaxation, I might stay again if given a discounted price.

The price was very high to begin with. Once taxes, fees and parking were added - absolutely unreasonable! Parking ramp was NOT accessable from the hotel, only from the street. Complimentary breakfast was a JOKE (stale bagels). Room was unacceptable. I have NEVER stayed in a ""suite"" that was so small and in which the bedroom was not separated from the rest of the space by a door. The hide-a-bed was terrible and the cot we requested was just as bad. To top things off, the desk clerk failed to ask, ""how was your stay?"" when we checked out. I DO NOT recommend this hotel!

I chose this hotel for it's location in a popular area of town. Unfortunately, the hotel just did not measure up. Upon opening the door to my room I smelled a very unpleasant body smell that seemed to be coming from the desk chair. The room was also very small, and the view out the window was of 3 adjoining brick walls. I called the desk and asked to be moved, but could not as the hotel was full. Rather than replace the chair, where I told them the smell was coming from, they ran the ozone machine. I had to leave my room for them to run this machine. It was supposed to take 45 minutes, but it took closer to 2 hours to get the machine out of my room and me in it. The next day I was told to leave my stuff in the room, and the staff would move it to a new room while I was away. I came back that evening to find that they had not moved me to a new room. When they did move me, the new room's bathroom had not been cleaned. So, I had to move AGAIN. You would think that by then they would put me in a suite or at least give me a discount, but, no, customer satisfaction does not seem to be a priority.

This hotel was very nice & the location was great. It was close to some attractions & Walking distance to the Magnificent Mile & to catch the bus. Rooms were a tad small but still were very nice. Friendly employees. Had a very nice continental breakfast. I would difinitly stay there again if I go back to Chicago.

The Comfort Inn, downtown Chicago, was very comfortable. Easy parking, quick check in, walking distance to magnificent mile, very informative and friendly staff. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast and whirlpool. Our room was small, just enough room for the queen size bed,TV, a desk and chair and the bathroom was a pretty good size. The room size didn't matter to us however because we weren't in it much. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Room had a great layout. Staff was not attentive when I arrived. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I was impress at how clean this hotel was. Stayed here to go to Cubs game. Hotel is within walking distance to Wrigley Field. We were upgraded to a corner suite, that was a nice surpise. Room was very roomy. We didn't have the breakfast but I heard that is is good.

Decent location. Expensive hotel price for what little luxury and comfort that we received.

"This is a good hotel if you decide you want a good location within walking distance to the magnificent mile and VERY close to red line subway. The rooms are tiny...I mean REALLY tiny. Everything was very clean, though, and the staff was EXCELLENT, very friendly and concerned with making it a great stay. The free breakfast was a nice added touch too. Parking is somewhat of a pain (no valet and you have to walk around the block each time you want to enter the hotel), but you get unlimited in/out privelages. Overall I would recommend it."

I liked the complementary breakfast, the staff, when we saw them, were very nice. Great location. I do not feel thatthe room was worth the price. I understand the location was great but the room was very tiny. When we arrived, it was very beautiful in the lobby. The staff was friendly. We went up to our room and couldn't believe how tiny it was for the price. Our view was a brick wall too. I suppose the location explains the price but I still think the room was simply nothing but a glorified closet. I would stay again but only because everything else about it was fantastic.

"Great location! Front desk staff's customer service skills need improvement. Reservation error by hotel was handled very poorly by front desk staff. Indifferent attitude toward customer. Received smoking room as only option to correct error. Both rooms had stains on carpeting & sofa pillows. Parking is reasonable but is not user friendly. Rooms are very small and dated. Even considering good location to Mich ave and Rush street, would only recommend if not spending much time at hotel."
