The Comfort Inn West in Maumee was comfortable, clean, and convenient (e.g., very close to Rt. 80, several restaurants within easy walking distance, nice green space behind the hotel for walking dogs, decent breakfast, comfortable beds, free Internet [1 desktop computer] in the lobby). The desk staff was pleasant and helpful (gave directions to clueless cab driver by cell phone, arranged without asking to put two groups of friends in rooms next to each other, called a cab for return trip to downtown Toledo). The dinner at Red Lobster next door was pretty bad (very heavy on the frying) but that was, of course, not the fault of the Comfort Inn (there seemed to be plenty of other choices; we just picked the closest one). The hotel was very pet friendly; had no trouble bringing along/caring for ours during our stay (made easier due to large field behind the hotel, as mentioned above). The only downside of our stay was the cab from downtown Toledo (bad service and outrageous fare) used by one among our group -- but since most people would probably be driving to this Comfort Inn (as mentioned, right off the OH turnpike), this shouldn't be an issue for most people. Overall a good deal -- nothing luxurious, but clean accommodations and pretty much everything you need right off the highway.

It was close to the interstate. Okay breakfast. Pool maintenance severely lacking, no toilet paper in room. This hotel is too close to a seedy part of town. Many abandoned buildings including an abandoned mall. I was concerned for our car sitting in the parking lot. Breakfast was adequate - at least something hot to eat. There were bugs floating in the indoor pool and still there from one day to the next. The carpet in the room was moist and the tub was filthy so we did not even shower there. They left no toilet paper in the room. I wish that when you called to inquire if the hotel was in a safer area, they could respond. As an out-of-town traveler, one never knows what kind of area is safe or not especially in larger cities like Toledo, Columbus or Cleveland.

Hotel on Northbound of Hyw, not right off the exit. Suites are across the street. Indoor pool in a very hot room.

Easy to find right off the highway but one thing to be aware of is that there is another Comfort Inn which is closer to the highway. Stopped there first & was told Comfort Inn West is right down the road. Have to do a U turn to enter the driveway. We found the room to be very spacious with a refrigerator & mic. Close to many chain restaurants. Very nice pool & hot tub area.

Beds we're comfortable but, the place was not updated. Kind of looked like it needs some updating. If the only thing you care about is a comfortable bed this place is great. They did not have cribs for young ones. And it really need some updating.

The staff was very friendly and helped me when I had questions. The only problem I had was that I went to the wrong Comfort Inn; there are two in the same area. Other than that, it was fine.

Very clean hotel and rooms. The pool was very clean! Breakfast lounge is in a room, tight in and around. Great for that business traveler that is looking for the basics. They have wireless and wired network access in rooms. Worked out well for an economy trip with the kids.

Nothing, I would never stay there again. Room was very worn. Hotel had the appearance of old, tired and worn.

Quiet. Cold pool, lukewarm hot tub. Possibilities are there but needs some improvements.

The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good with a range of foods. No top lock on the door and my 22 month old was able to open the door, very dangerous! All in all it was a good hotel they just need to work on a couple of things. It really bothered me that I had to pile my luggage in front of the door so my toddler couldn't get out of the room. There was one lock on the door but if you turned the handle the door would unlock and open, giving my toddler free range of the hallway if I turned my back. Most other hotels have a top lock as well. I wish this one did too!
