Surprisingly Pleasant Stay I recently visited my daughter in Buffalo and stayed at Comfort Inn University. My room was unfortunatly located by the stairwell on the ground floor. But aside from that, my bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The room was big enough for me with a desk area, a easy chair and foot stool as well as roomy closet with lots of hangers and a suitcase stand. The roomy bathroom even had numerous grips in the shower/bath as well as a shower chair which I require. I felt very safe taking my showers. The room is well lit and comes with a second lock for the door. I did however notice the carpet had a few stains and was in need of a deep cleaning. The best thing about the Comfort Inn is the FREE BREAKFAST! If you don't mind getting up at 6am, there is a set up in the kitchen area for guests to make waffles, toast, pitchers of various juices and milk as well as muffins and donuts and hard-boiled eggs. My problem is that I don't drive so I needed to use the cab to get around, but the front desk assisted me with that. I will always remember the smiles and friendliness of the staff.

Proximity to University of Buffalo. Just average hotel, nothing special, OK free breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. The breakfast was better than we expected for a "continental breakfast". Make your own waffles, eggs, bagels etc... The rooms were clean and in good condition. It's a great location to Niagara Falls and the price was much more reasonable than staying right at the falls. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next year on our annual trip to the falls.

Staff was very accommodating - nice people. Clean, Nice People. Had I received a non-smoking room, my experience would have been much better.

This, my third trip to Buffalo with my daughter who is an incoming freshman to the University of Buffalo, I've stayed at the Comfort Inn all three times. There are alot of positives to this small but ameniable inn: The access to the univ. is great, there is a computer available in the lobby to research activities or print boarding passes etc, there is a morning newspaper, great coffee and make-your-own breakfast items that include waffles, cereal, toasted bagels, as well as muffins, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, danishes and donuts, and juices. Just the breakfast food is worth the reasonable fare. I have noticed that the interior of the hotel, particularly hallways seem to be more weathered than in past visits and may be need of replacement. Overall, a good value.

The breakfast waffles. Service was slow and unhelpful. We were very disappointed. The hotel seems poorly managed. The hotel was overbooked, the staff was unable to meet requests and the ceiling in the bathroom leaked.

Our initial impression upon walking in was, long story short, scuzzy!!! The employee at the front desk was inexperienced and did not even know if we would have a refrigerator in our room. Not only this, but the A.C. in our room, at some points, seemed to stop working and then start up again at random intervals! The next morning, when we arrived in the lobby for breakfast, there was a large crowd and the employees did not seem to be keeping up with the demand. There was barely anything left for us. Also, don't even get me started with the elevator! Four letters/numbers describe perfectly what the elevators needed gallons of: WD-40!!!! The elevator creaked so loud I thought it would turn into the Tower of Terror ride at Disney at any moment!!! And, last but certainly not least, even though we had a non-smoking room, all of the nearby rooms were smoking rooms, and the smell permeated the hallways, which were not only smelly but stuffy!! Aside from these negatives, the location was good for our purposes of visiting relatives/ going to my high school reunion and would probably be a good choice for families with children at U.B., since we could see the campus right outside our window.

Comfortable beds and location. Noisy bath fan. The hotel is conveniently located. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom exhaust fan is so loud you can't here anything else when using because it is on the light switch.

Quiet. Stairs and porch are a little narrow. Pretty good. Close to the university at buffalo. Quiet and convenient transport. People are nice and friendly. The room is neat, clean, well equipped. however, the smell is not that good, probably because it is a smoking room.

Clean & in good repair, quiet, friendly & efficient staff, good breakfast, free Internet computer in lobby! Bathroom fan is noisy! This is a nice place, newer, very clean, staff is efficient and friendly, everything works, bathrooms are clean and sparkling, and they have a very nice continental breakfast with lots of coffee!

Continental breakfast was not good, fruit was old, coffee urns were empty, dining area in main lobby with doors so everybody is walking through and the door opening made us freezing while trying to eat. Pool was too small and not easily assessible.TV cable was not working first night and next full day took too long to fix.

The hotel was very convenient and easy to get to. There wasn't a lot of restaurants close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone of my friends. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet. It is located near a major highway.

The Hotel was close to everything. The room smelled because it was a smoking room. The hotel was conveniently located and was kept clean. We made the unfortunate mistake of being non-smokers and booking a smoking room so the smell was terrible! You could almost taste it! Once we opened the windows and put on the vent we could sleep a little easier. I'm sure for a heavy smoker it wouldn't be so bad.

Location. Cluttered, overpriced, should have been half the price. Hotel was ok, was not worth the rate that I paid. Would rank this against Motel-6 or something along those lines. Curbs are not cut correctly. When you are pulling very heavy luggage on wheels you are screwed going from your car to the door, basically you have you carry it and make more trips.
