Date of Stay:
August, 2008
I stayed here because it was the only hotel available. Staff was great. Hotel location next to a freeway and oil refinery was less than optimal.

The location was quite convenient. Stains on the floors. Overall everything was quite nice. Even though it is located next to the Freeway, I couldn't hear any outside noise. However, the grunts and screams of joy from the couple in the room next door woke me up. I have never had that happen in a hotel before. Between room insulation could be better.

I had stayed in this hotle many years ago when it was called the Fairfield. It was just as I remembered. The breakfast was good. I could have fruit, eggs, bread, cereal, or waffles with a variety of breakfast beverages. I stayed in a suite. It was a nice room with a very comfortable bed. Noise was not a problem. I used the pool and spa. I had a great swim.

This hotel is definitely not a 3-star hotel. I've stayed in Motel 6 that are nicer than this place. It is about 15 years out of date and the wear and tear is very obvious all over the place. I'd recommend staying somewhere else

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful. There were two minor problems -- one with the light over the lavatory, which was promptly fixed. The other was that the carafe for the coffee maker was the wrong size, causing the coffee maker to not run into the carafe, but remain shut off. This I did not discover until shortly before I left, so I did not report it. However, it occurred to me later that this could have been a hazard. The location is only OK. It's a quite a way from Salt Lake City (about six miles) and there is nothing else very much for travelers in the neighborhood. The hotel has no restaurant but provides quite a good breakfast.

It was close to the main road. It was hard to find. The hotel was older but clean. There wasn't a great selection of for breakfast but the food was good. I was a little difficult to find the hotel at first. We stayed at this hotel for two nights and it grew on us.

We wanted a place that was close to Lagoon and a hotel with a pool to cool off for the night. I wish the room was a little cooler when we first arrived and I wish the pool was open later than 10 pm. Location is great, right off freeway, easy to find food, theaters, etc. We were able to get to Lagoon Park in about 10 minutes of leaving the hotel. Only other comment would be to increase number of laundry machines. Only one washer/dryer was available and it was not available to us. I then had to drive 40 minutes round trip to get to Layton Walmart to buy some clean clothes. I wouldn't have wanted to use a laundromat.

Rooms were clean. Pool was clean, but small. Breakfast was great, waffles are a plus. Room Insallation poor. Noise from freeway and other rooms heard all night. Again the price was very low. The rooms were clean, but the noise levels were high as the window not only allowed freeway noise, but air to flow in also. If they could fix this, I would upgrade this rating.

Even though it's close to the freeway, it's very quiet. Seriously, cheap tissues. They tear and fall apart easily. Very irritating. Close to the freeway and many conveniences, like restaurants and local shops. Clean, nothing fancy, but certainly adequate when what you want is a decent night's sleep in a clean hotel.

I enjoyed the breakfasts. They didn't clean the room very well during our stay & housekeeping woke us up even when the do not disturb sign was on at 8 am. Other than the cleanliness issues in our room and the inefficient front desk staff, it was a great stay. Quiet rooms great pool.

The pool and hot tub was fantastic. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we had planned. I didn't like it that the breakfast (continental) was not that good. By the time I could go eat, it smelled great but there wasn't much left. It was a fantastic hotel for the value that I paid. The pool and hot tub was perfect for me and my kids. I would definitely go back and stay there again. Hopefully, they will have the hot tub problem worked out so that we can enjoy the hot tub a little more than we could on this trip.

Safe, clean good for kids. Breakfast same everyday. This was a good hotel with good service and good location. Room on freeway end of hotel, became to loud to hear TV if you wanted to open the window. Breakfast menu never changed over a four day stay. Could have scramble eggs every other day instead of always hard boiled, could have changed donuts from always powdered. Maid forgot to leave coffee in room and I had to go to desk to get it. Room phone not working.

It was clean and when I did have a issue with something they fixed the problem right then and there. The breakfast could have been better it was good just not a lot of choices. It was very nice. And it was close to were we wanted to be.

Pleasant, clean, courteous staff. The location was difficult to get to from freeway, even though we could see the sign. Had to drive around two or three times to get to it. Convenient location, facilities were clean and pleasant, and a staff that seemed anxious to please.

The location was convenient for our trip, close to restaurants, and highway accessible. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The maintenance turned the sprinklers on and made it hard to get into my car without getting wet. The staff was friendly, gave great directions, and accommodated us superbly. I would recommend and stay at this location again.

Their continental breakfast was excellent. They needed much more seating room for their continental breakfast. Good location, nice rooms, mattress were on the soft side, did not get a good nights sleep. Very clean overall. Very good continental breakfast. Enjoyed getting the paper in the morning. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again.

They were accommodating when we first got there, and the pool was nice. Some of the staff were rude. They also allowed the staff to sit in the guest's space during the cont. breakfast when there was no room for guests. It was an alright place to stay. I'm not sure we would stay again.

Friendly, helpful staff. A good, clean, basic hotel close to the freeway.

Check-in/out was simple and very quick. When we requested anything the staff responded very quickly. A very clean/comfortable place to stay. We have stayed as a couple and with family and friends and each experience has been perfect. Any time we are in the area we will stay at the same Comfort Inn because it is immaculate and the staff and personnel are great. It is conveniently located off the freeway with quick and simple access to it. There are restaurants all around it with any kind of store you may need also.

Pool and hot tub were nice. Room was by the stairs and that is all we heard in the morning was people coming up and down them. Hotel was overall pretty good. Breakfast was nice as well as rooms.
