The Comfort Inn & Suites in Georgetown DE was adequate. The price is better than the prices closer to the beach but it is a 20-30 minute drive from the beach. The room needed to be aired out and smelled like perspiration. There is a free buffet for breakfast.

The desk clerk was friendly & even gave us a map that got us were we needed to go. We were placed in a smoking room.There was a huge moth in our room! Convinient, near sports on the beach but not close enough to the outlets. Pool looked clean, next to walmart which we needed to get an air~freshener for our room. The Breakfast staff was friendly but a little slow in getting the food out, then it didn't help that the power went out just as my son had pushed his toast down. So he had 2 slices of buttered bread for his breakfast. Overall OK!

We really like this hotel but what a shame that the staff is the rudest we have ever seen. I agree with the review that the staff is very defensive. Even when I called to confirm a reservation she was very defensive and rude. The owner maybe should spend less time out of the country and more time educating his "MANAGER" how to treat customers with respect. This hotel and the "MANAGER" know they are in a tourist town and could care less if you stay there on not. The desk help quotes you and prints out one price per stay and then the "MANAGER" charges something completely different. We stayed there on numerous occasions and the last two time were charged a different rate than quoted. We thought the first time was a mistake and trusted the desk staff again and once again the manager did not honor the quote. We will NEVER stay there again and will tell everyone we know about this experience. We are airline employees and travel extensively and have never had this kind of treatment from a "MANAGER".

People were stomping on the floors, running on the stairwells and slamming doors during my stay at this hotel. Management became defensive with excuses when I and other guests complained. I also noticed by the stains on the sink and toilet and the oily floor that housekeeping did a lousy job of cleaning the bathroom.

Location. Unfriendly staff. The hotel staff was not friendly or helpful. Pool was not clean. Cleaning staff walking in hallways without shoes on.

Easy to find. Nothing in the area - no where to eat. The hotel was very nice, the front desk worker seemed bored and wasn't very friendly at check-in but the other staff members were nice and courteous. We did have to drive about 20 minutes to find somewhere to have decent (not fast food) food, but otherwise it was nice for a one night stay.

Only hotel in Georgetown. Only hotel in Georgetown. Georgetown is a very small community near Rehoboth Beach, a very popular summer destination. Is the only hotel to go? There is another one that I will not mention.

Clean, personable clerks, well maintained, good rate. Food at breakfast seemed to be stale. And no plates were available. I was pleasantly surprised to find the condition of this motel very good. I usually stay at Hampton Inns but since there was not one in this area I chose the Comfort Inn. Everything was fine except for the breakfast. The bread products were stale and gave the impression that we were getting leftovers from some previous days.
