Renovated in 2001, the Comfort Inn Madison offers comfortable, affordable rooms in close proximity to the Dane County Regional airport and across the street from Madison's largest shopping mall. For onsite recreation, guests can enjoy a swim in the indoor pool, soak tired muscles in the whirlpool spa, or stay fit with a visit to the exercise room. Guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast with their room rate. While there is not a full service restaurant inside the hotel, Perkin's Restaurant, open 24 hours, is next door to the hotel. There are several family restaurants within one mile of the hotel. To suit guests' varied needs, the hotel offers safe deposit boxes, complimentary weekday newspaper, laundry facilities, free parking, meeting space, copy and fax services for an additional fee, and a complimentary shuttle to the regional airport and to destinations within two miles of the hotel. Guests wishing to explore the surrounding area will find the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in three miles and downtown Madison in six miles. There are 152 rooms on six floors at this hotel. Both non-smoking rooms and rooms equipped for the physically challenged are available upon request. The hot tub. It didn't have a larger choice of liquor. I was very pleased and the staff was wonderful.

My girls and I were on our way back to St. Paul after a terrific weekend in Chicago. We arrived in Madison late in the evening. We waited in line to check in--it was late--why the wait??? We finally got our room. We trudged to the room. We opened the door to the worst musty smell! We called the front desk to complain. We were told that other rooms of a similar status were full. Funny--I could literally count the number of cars, there were so few in the parking lot. No upgrade was offered. I asked what they could do about the smell. They suggested opening the window. My youngest daugher was so exhausted. We decided to forget the smell, use our own sheets and get out of there right away in the AM. The continental breakfast was very generous. That helped our departure.

It was a good room and the staff were friendly but the room smelled a little bit when first arriving but once the room cooled off it was fine. I was satisfied with the experience and would stay again.

We had the King suite with a sofa bed so there was more room to sit & relax or watch TV. Mattress on the bed was only fair. Our room was clean and we had extra room as it was a King suite but yet it was still reasonably priced.

while it was just for a short stay to get to airport early next day, it did its job. a comfortable place to stay.

Quiet, convenient to East Towne Mall. Room was very small, no microwave or refrigerator, could not watch TV while sitting on bed, price was way to high. Quiet, cleanliness was ok and staff was also ok.

The room smelled of smoke. The air conditioner did not work. The hotel was sold out & there was not much they could do. A hot summer's night in a smokers room. I didn't sleep very well

The staff was excellent. Bed mattress was worn out. Room smelled of smoke and chemicals to mask the smell. Good location. Safe. Helpful and cheerful staff. I was in a no smoking room, but it smelled of smoke and there were two ashtrays in the room. One of the double beds had a mattress that was worn out, it sagged terribly. Some of the wash cloths were stained. They were clean, but stained. The continental breakfast was okay, but the hard boiled, peeled eggs had a bleached taste.

I don't remember much about this hotel since I travel a lot, but that's actually a good thing since I only remember the bad ones. The Comfort Inns in general is a good chain, better than most, better cable tv, room is large, hotel is not too old (but make no mistake, it's old). There isn't a place to get something to eat when you arrive late, and there are only vending machines on site. Also, the wifi was out on the 3rd and 4th floors, where my room was. All in all, you're doing better than all right with Comfort. Oh, and most important, they allowed me to take my dog right in, no problems.

Location and price. Dirty walls, floor, plugged sink & poor check in service. I had to go to the first floor to find an ice machine that worked. I had a room that felt dirty as well as looked filthy, dirt marks on the wall, bathroom floor was marked with brown stuff (which I cleaned up). The person that checked us in knew I was standing in line and waiting but she asked the person that walked in behind me if they needed help. Over all, this hotel needs better people!

This hotel was clean, staff was friendly and there was a lovely continental breakfast. No newspaper at the door in the morning. Easy to find, friendly staff clean and nice comfy pillows.

The Comfort Inn was clean, the hotel staff was nice and accomodating, and there was free access to a printer and computer which was nice. The pool and hot tub were clean and I liked the adult hours that were offered at the pool. I was disappointed with the breakfast which was what I expected from a lower end hotel. Other Comfort Inns that I have been at have usually been pretty superb with a breakfast choice, not so much with this one. But it was in a good neighborhood with lots of outside options to eat at and a mall with more just down the street.

The location and friendly staff; great breakfast. This hotel is perfectly located by a mall and by the highway. Perfect for our family who was just traveling through. The indoor pool is nice bonus of our kids. There are many restaurants located near this hotel also.

The quality for the price made this hotel a good value. The breakfast was just mediocre. The hardboiled eggs were so overcooked that they were inedible. This hotel was just fine. The front desk staff was pleasant.

Good Location access to major highway. However, one of the criteria I have for selecting a motel/hotel is good internet access. This is the only motel I have stayed at that did not have decent wireless access. Other that that, it was a good motel. ( they could use another waffle maker)
