Built in 1997, the Quality Inn and Suites Durango is conveniently located two blocks from the Riverwalk, a half-mile from historic downtown Durango and the Silverton Narrow Gauge Train, and 30 miles from the Purgatory Ski Area. The hotel has an indoor heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, and fitness room. Guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast with their room rate. Local restaurants include Francisco's Restaurant, K-Bob's Steakhouse, and Potsie's Diner. For guests' convenience, the hotel offers copy and fax access, free local calls, guest laundry, ice machines, meeting rooms, complimentary newspaper, parking, safe deposit box, and wake-up calls. The hotel allows pets, but restrictions and fees apply. If you plan to bring your pet, please contact the hotel before your arrival to confirm the current pet policy. The La Plata airport is approximately 11 miles from the hotel. All rooms include air-conditioning, an alarm clock radio, in-room coffee, hairdryers, iron, ironing board, 25 TV with movies, speakerphones, dataports, voicemail. Children 18 and under stay free in parent's room. Non-smoking rooms and rooms equipped for the physically challenged are available upon request.

The pool is cold/ jacuzzi yellow. On our second morning the front desk night woman called us at 550am and woke our family of 4 to say our credit card was declined. This was all absurd since we paid in full the week previously online. I was not even asked for a credit card at check-in. In addition, a maintence man ( I assume) knocked on our door the first morning, didn't identify himself (looked like a street person) , and said "" you takin' a shower?"" To which I said ""no"" and he said "" there's a leak"" as he kept walking.

Aside from the loud thumping noise from under our room, early in the morning. This hotel was nice. The pool was okay, kinda cold. All in all the stay was nice.

We booked 2 rooms for this hotel. The rooms were just ok. The first floor is a smoking floor and it wreaks of smoke smell just walking to the elevator to get to the upper floors. They are also doing some plumbing on the first floor which doesn't help the smell. The location is out of the way, but the staff is pleasant and the breakfast was good. I would not stay here again.

we stayed 2 nights here and were very happy. the room wasclean and had everything weneeded. the hotel was quiet and was in a good location for easy access to main roads. we would definitely stay here again

Friendly staff, clean and great complimentary breakfast. Road works were going on immediately outside the hotel. Not too noisy but inconvenient. Exceeded our expectations. Clean and a great complimentary hot breakfast. Pool could have done with a little more heating but in general very satisfactory stay.

If you are not concerned about where you stay with no frills, this would be the place for you to stay. The rooms were clean, but the hotel just didn't stand out. I would not stay here again.

EXCELLENT free breakfast buffet. Front desk computer problems made checkin too long. Clean, relatively new Comfort Inn. Having a wife, not many hotels meet her standard for cleanliness, but this one did. Free breakfast buffet was WONDERFUL!

It was quiet. It was in the middle of a construction zone. The first room they gave us had not been cleaned.; the excuse was, "Oh, those people were hardly in their room at all." Perhaps, but they were there long enough to muss the beds, leave trash, and drop dirty towels on the bathroom floor. The swimming pool heater broke our second day there. The pastries at the continental breakfast were stale. I got the impression the hotel was run by teenagers. Certainly the young lady at the front desk had that attitude.

Rooms were comfortable, great beds and good breakfast. Away from the center of town but close to services. Pool heater was not working so it was quite cool. Comfortable room, attentive staff and easy access to points south of town.

It's new and nice. There was hair on my pillowcase (before I got in) and tons of algae in the entire pool. And the pool was freezing. I think it was pretty fabulous outside of the algae-filled (and freezing but who cares since there was algae covering nearly the entire sides of the pool). It is now new, and does have a fridge, microwave, and closet in room. LOVE Durango and would stay at this location again.

Our room was in front and their was construction work at night. All fine, with the exception of the construction work going on all night in the street. Breakfast food was so-so.

Newer hotel, nice appearance. Swimming pool area crowded, water looked green. Hotel was newer and for the most part, kept up. I think the pool area could of used a professional to keep up with the water quality, but the younger crowd didn't seem to mind.

Comfortable and friendly. Overall the hotel was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was well kept. The front desk staff were quite nice and helpful. This was an excellent stay.

Quiet, comfortable beds, good breakfast, friendly staff, convenient parking. The dining room uses styrofoam cups/plates, not enviromentally smart.

A little older and the hotel pool and hot tub could use some attention. It was fine for the money. The room and lobby was clean but the pool and hot tub could use a little attention. The color of the water was questionable and the smell it left on bathing suits after they dried was pretty bad.
