Hotel was average, this is my second in a string of stays in Portland, not bad for the money. Breakfast was good but easy to oversleep for. Staff wasn't rude but definitely should get jobs doing something else as none of them seemed excited about being in the hospitality industry.

Beautiful counter in lounge area. Filth. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

For people like us who take early morning flights, this place was perfect! The room and bed were comfortable even for large people like us. The hotel was reasonably close to the airport. We will definitely stay here again. It's a great place for a one-night stay. Oh, yes, the last train to go by was at 11 p.m.

Wanted to use the breakfast room for a 1 hour meeting around 3:00 PM. the "smoking" outside clerk said emphatically NO, that's not allowed. I asked to speak to the Mgr, was told not in. I asked her to phone him for permission to use the room. SHe again said NO I won't do that. I suggested that she inquire from on site person in charge and she said, No it won't make any difference. This employee needs customer service training badly. She is not typical of your staff thank heaven and she needs to be trained or terminated. It's not because she did not allow up to use the room. Rather it's because of her very bad & lack of good customer service skills. She needs to complete the "Telephone Dr." programs. Sincerely, JS

The service was nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Around the hot tub smelled mildewy; the pool was fine, it was only the area around the hot tub. The staff was very helpful.

Clean comfortable rooms, personable cleaning staff, and nice pool for the kids for a great price. My family will stay there again for sure.

We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean and of good size. The beds are comfortable. We will continue to stay at this Comfort Inn when in the area. Although the train passes near by we hardly notice it.

It had cable. The hotel room smelled like smoke and you could tell that the hotel was old!

This hotel wasn't nearly as convenient to the airport as we hoped it would be. The Hampton Inn is much better located. The breakfast area was completely blocked off when not serving breakfast, so you can't even get a cup of hot water for tea or sit at the table to wait for someone. We called ahead to say that our flight in was being redirected and we wouldn't get there until 9am. The clerk who answered the phone said she'd make a note on our reservation, and that it would be fine. But she didn't. And the clerk who was there when we arrived wasn't skilled at fixing the situation. It took us about an hour before they gave us a room (after having been involuntarily up all night in an airport fiasco). There was only one person working the desk, so everyone who wanted to check out or do anything else during that one hour also just had to stand around and stare until it became their turn. The bottom sheets did not fit the beds, and the overall sleep experience was frustrating. The airport shuttle worked fine, but do remember to sign up in advance.

Close to the airport. Close to the train tracks. Hotel was close to the airport but too close to the freight train tracks. You can't miss it when the train goes by. Hotel was clean. Staff was very helpful. Even sent someone up to our room to help us with luggage for the morning shuttle to the airport.

We stayed at this hotel to catch a flight the next morning. The hotel was very nice and way cheeper than the other hotels is that area. They have a shuttle that takes you to the airport. It has an indoor swimming pool and sauna. The room was good sized. I loved the free continental breakfast. They even had biscuits and gravy and it tasted awsome!

Overall just average. Room was nothing special, nothing great. It served our purposes to be close to the airport at an economical price.

i would definitely stay at this hotel again, 24 hour pool and hot tub for adults, very close to max station, free airport shuttle service was very nice. the beds are very comfortable and high, and awesome service. the hotel is kept in good shape with clean rooms. love the fact that you can walk less than 4 blocks to ride the max downtown have drinks and dinner and just ride back for under 4 bucks. the rooms also have a coffee pot in the rooms and free coffee all day in the lobby and free wifi. we only stayed at this hotel as apposed to a downtown hotel based on the reviews from this site. plus i didnt feel like putting up with snooty employees at a upper scale hotel. and you cant beat the price. saved us money to dine at more expensive restaurants.

This is a great hotel. Clean, large, rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Indoor pool and hot tub as well as a nice, if small, fitness center. The only downside was that it was near train tracks and occasionally a very loud train would pass. Other than that, a highly enjoyable stay. I will stay here again if I am back in this city.

We visit Portland to see family annually. Have stayed in other motels near the airport prior to returning to Texas. This time we chose the Comfort Inn and Suites Portland Airport and this will be The Place from now on. Beautifully decorated, extremely clean, gracious, friendly staff. We'll bring our swim suits next year to enjoy the indoor pool that is open 24 hours. Would be nice if there was at least a muffin or cookie to go with the early morning filght departures but the coffee with flavored creams available was great. We will be back in June.
